   This was my friend's and my favorite restaurant and we have celebrated many special occasions here. However, our recent dinner was not good. My friends and I always love the Tagliatelle pasta and it was extremely bland. We had to ask for extra salt, pepper, and parmesan jsut to make it somewhat appealing. Our waiter shared they had a new executive chef and says his style is "more authentic" which leads me to believe they've received that feedback before. We also were never offered bread, even when ordering appetizers like burrata. Previously, bread was always complimentary. And lastly, we were there celebrating a birthday and indicated that on the reservation, and it was never acknowledged. In the past they always were great about wishing a happy birthday and bringing a dessert. We will be finding a new place to celebrate birthdays.

   We have been to Colletta several times before, and it is always very good- food was excellent, including a twist on the burrata with picked strawberries, chicken parm and tagliatelle were great choices and lets not forget a wonderful bottle of Super Tuscan. We will be back!

   Great ambiance. Had a great experience. The service was outstanding. Our waiter Daniel was very hands-on and was detailed oriented. Made our dinner feel more like an experience. The food was great. Our teenagers are picky eaters, and they loved the food. Every plate had a unique twist to it.

    We stopped by here for Mother’s Day. The service was very good and inviting. We are the Meatballs, Spaghetti and Lasagna with a glass of Avignonesi Grifi 2018 that was recommended by our savior which turned out to be a great pairing. We were very grateful that you can select either individual dinner servings or family size compared to most Italian restaurants that only offer family size dinner portions which would’ve been two much for just us to. If you are looking for a flavorful Italian restaurant, I’d highly recommend Colletta. We’ll surely be back!

    Had a reservation at 5pm and was sat down at 4:55pm. We were the second group in the restaurant. There was no bread ready until 5:45 which was after our dinner arrived. We received our dinner approximately 40 minutes after ordering. While dinner was decent, it makes no sense we waited that long for bread or food being one of the first people in the restaurant.

    We dined on Mother's Day and they were swamped with customers. Even though their service was slow they were very kind to acknowledge the issues and graciously comped us on a few drinks. I feel for these restaurants when it's a special occasion or they are short staffed. They were all working very hard to accommodate their customers and we will be back another time.

    I was really excited to try this place out for a Mothers Day brunch. Unfortunately, the service at this restaurant made the overall experience not very pleasant. Our waitress seemed to not know the menu well at all and told us incorrect information regarding menu items. Additionally, service was extremely slow - our cocktails were served extremely watered down because they had been sitting out for so long, we still hadn’t gotten any food after sitting for over an hour, and all the entrees were brought out so sporadically that people in our party who’s items were brought out first were completely done with their meal by the time the last person even received their meal. Thankfully, my mother in law was very understanding about things, but I felt very embarrassed having suggested this place for a celebration given the service we received. I will say, the food we ate was very tasty but was not worth it at the end of the day because of the service issues.

    Our waiter was not very hospitable. She brought the manager over to check our ID expiration date even though our IDs were very clearly not expired. Our pizza came out way later then expected and we had to take it to-go. We have come here every year for our anniversary for the past 4 years and we will not be coming back.

    It has been a while since I’ve eaten at Collettas. Dined with a friend that needed handicapped access. Even though they were busy, the server and manager were both very accommodating. Menu offered a great variety & we enjoyed our choices. Manager took the time to check in periodically & was very engaging. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

    They messed up the pizza order, which came out later than all the other entrees and by that time, we didn't want to wait another 10 min for them to fix it. Felt it was over priced for what we got and our waiter disappeared after the food was delivered so we had to find him to pay. Didn't offer to take something off the bill for the pizza mistake either.

    We went for an anniversary dinner and Colletta did not disappoint. Outstanding food and service. Extensive wine list and wait staff was excellent at recommending wines and menu items. We had a complimentary, delicious dessert honoring our 35th anniversary. We shall return for more great food!

    Came in HANGRY, left so happy. Our server was super sweet! She was on it with everything we needed. We ordered the Margherita pizza-which was fantastic. The crust was perfect. Big fan. The rigatoni was good too, maybe a little too much noodle but the sauce was awesome. The bread comes out as an app (was such a nice surprise given 1. I was famished and 2. nowhere brings free anything out anymore). The bread was good, little heavy on the balsamic in the olive oil-would have enjoyed more if there was less balsamic or just olive oil. Dark setting so def good for a little more of a romantic date night or bday celebration. Modern vibe. Very much enjoyed. Mandatory, order the Margherita pizza!

    Server was great. We sat at the table and all the plates and silverware were dirty food still on plates. Food was under cooked. Don’t recommend the chicken parm it was chewy and flavorless. Table next to us went through 3 different meals before one was cooked correct. Need new chef

    We had a wonderful time at Colletta celebrating our moms for an early Mother’s Day brunch. The food was good and the tweaks we needed for our order were met. The waitress was fantastic and very attentive. The manager on duty checked on us multiple times and helped the server when needed. They even offered to store our food while we enjoyed derby day.     My girlfriend & I came in for dinner & had a wonderful experience. Our server, Erick, was super friendly & did a great job with his suggestions & knowledge of the menu. Everything was just as he described. We loved our cocktails from the new list. Both of our drinks had layers of complexity that made us want to just keep drinking. All of the apps were unique and loved the presentation of the scallops. I will say, it would be nice if the olives didn’t have any pits. Our main entrees were so tasty. My girlfriend was raving about the pork chop & loved the fig mostarda garnish on top. For dessert we got the zeppole, which is a home run, don’t change a thing! The other dessert, don’t recall the name, was a dark chocolate mousse with some gold flakes. The manager, Austin, who was engaging with every table stopped by and checked in on us as well. He suggested we try the house made salted caramel sauce with the mousse, which made it even better! Before leaving, Nick (GM) stopped by and thanked us. He’s doing a great job taking Colletta in a positive direction. Overall everything was perfect!

    The food and service were exceptional. Ambience was nice outside, but would have been nicer had there been some planters with plants or something to give it a warmer, more cozy vibe. The patio as it is is basically a concrete slab with concrete walls, so not very special feeling. But that’s an easy fix.

    I took my lady to Colletta in celebration of her birthday and they genuinely made it special for her. I made our reservation for their dinner opening time of 5 PM and we were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was Daniel and he truly gave us a memorable experience. He was training another server and it quickly became clear why he was doing the training. Friendly, welcoming, efficient and professional - are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind. Colletta should know he is an exemplary employee. Thank you so much Daniel for making my lady's dinner so special. I can tell you she'll never forget it. In regard to the food - AMAZING! She got the pork chop and I got their flat iron steak. Both were cooked to perfection. Daniel recommended their meatballs and some bread to get things started, and yes - both were excellent too. My lady got their scallops also and she said they were the best she'd ever had. You can trust me when I tell you Colletta has earned their excellent reviews. We were their on a Monday afternoon, right at 5:00 and within 30 mins. they were packed. It appears to be a local favorite so expect a nice crowd, but not rowdy. We truly had a memorable experience.

    We have dined here many times before, but this time was such a different experience than in the past. We were seated outside on the patio, which we requested. It was chilly that evening; however, the patio is equipped with outdoor heaters. I lost count of the number of times we requested the heaters to be turned on. We were assured that they would be turned on each time a request was made. However, this never happened. We actually had to leave the table and finish our wine inside at the bar. While the food was good, it certainly wasn’t great. We have had much better meals at Colletta~ very disappointing. Unfortunately, when we return to Avalon, Colletta will not be on our calendar.

    Food is always delicious here! I always go for the family style option, you get a taste of everything on the menu(chef’s choice). It never disappoints. Service here is always excellent! Trace was our waiter and he went above and beyond. He throughly explained menu if we had any questions. He checked up on us frequently. He was AWESOME! Definitely one of my fav places.

    The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the pizza the first time I dined here, years ago. This time I tried the lasagna and my mother had the chicken parm. She is extremely judgmental of food and loved it. The lasagna is beef lasagna which is great because I love lasagna, but have issues when I eat pork. Service was great. Daniel and Chase were helpful and professional. A night well spent!
