just perfect, love it... thank you very much..... can't ask for more...
PS... they are closed forever....
Very disappointed at Colette's new location. Food quality was absolutely bad compared to Toronto location. For that prices, it'd be better serve to go to somewhere else.
Cafe too small, table too close, crowded with people and noisy. Food not worth the price, for same kind of brunch I prefer Spencer on the waterfront.
I've been twice once for dinner, and once for brunch. The service both times were amazing, the servers are attentive, helpful, and courteous. I preferred the dinner menu over the buffet brunch. They have a lot of options, but a little overpriced for brunch. The crepe and omlette delivered to the table is delicious.
My second time in one month. Excellent food, staff and location
Food was amazing, the service was also very good. Would love to come back!
The atmosphere at Collette was beautifully elegant. The food was incredible and our server was fantastic with checking in on us and his recommendations. Apart from waiting to be seated (even though I had a reservation) and being seated at the back of the restaurant with a private party the experience was overall enjoyable.
Went for a brunch date. Atmosphere and food was very good. We both had the eggs benedict and it was one of the best eggs benedict we have ever had Would recommend for brunch.
Waiter there was very nice. Very friendly service, food was perfectly made an on a timely basis.
Our boys really like the sale buffet lunch here but we found our last experience not so great. We sat down and no server came over, we had to wave someone over. They were busier than usual for weekday but that shouldn’t affect their service. The options for the buffet wasn’t as great as the previous times we visited.
The food was very good. Our waiter was outstanding! Very kind, sweet & patient considering it was very busy!!!
Superb price fix menu. Duck liver mousse was insanely delectable. Steak and frites was great. Crepes Suzanne was not to die for but pretty damn good... overall... It was an amazing meal with excellent service.
Will be back for sure!
Wasn't clear that it was a fixed price menu specially priced higher and fewer selection for V Day. Went there for the fish but wasnt able to order it.
We went for Valentine's day dinner and it was a set menu. From those around us, it seemed like the mandatory 'set menu' for that evening was not communicated to people who hadn't made prior reservations. The food was quite good, however it took a long time for us to get our mains and drinks - which didn't seem uncommon based on the comments we heard from those around us. Overall, I would go back on another day to try their regular menu as I am sure the service was put to a test that evening.
Was a great Valentines lunch - we plan to come again next year!
This place was significantly over priced and not worth the $50/person price tag.
The Sunday buffet brunch is a must try. There is a great variety of options for all food lovers. Be sure to book at least 2 weeks in advanced to get a table :)
We visit for a birthday dinner. Once we entered we were greeted right away and escorted to our table. The place was clean and beautiful. We were kinda stunned it was just like in the pictures. Anywho, our server was awesome. He knew the wines and recommended something perfect for us. Our meals came to us in a timely manner and was still hot when they arrived. My niece ordered the stake well done and it came precisely as she ordered it. We had a fantastic time. All the staff we interacted with were super helpful and really sweet. We are already making plans to visit again.
It was fine
The food at this restaurant was excellent and the servers were very attentive. The only negative criticism I would give is that our server had very bad body odour which did affect our appetites.
We went on a Thursday afternoon at 1pm for my mother's birthday. We had two menu options offered because we went during a winterlicious event, however we prefer sticking to the salad bar buffet instead. Our servers first approach was quick and efficient, water was poured and menu options were explained. We ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc and a coffee to begin our meal. However after changing my meal options, which required him to tell the kitchen. My server never got back to notify me. Therefore we waited and waited.. Eventually we decided not to wait and just walk over to the salad bar to begin endulging.
Shrimp was fresh, pulp and seasoned perfectly, everything from the salad bar was very fresh. The gluten free bread that's requested came out hot and delicious! Down side was their daily Omelette that was made to order was only fair and the hot soup of the day was a lobster bisque, but tasted very watery and overly sweet. More or less we grabbed three rounds from the salad bar but when it was time for desserts, we noticed food was being taken away without prior notices. Our server never told us that they will be closing their bar, so sadly we didn't have much options fordesserts other then just scraping bits from the creme Brulee and a taste of the tiramisu cup. I asked busser that was cleaning up to see whether we could order some desserts and she simply said no sorry.
Prior to our booking, I stated that it would be for my mother's birthday so I was hoping that they would make her afternoon more memorable but unfortunately they didn't even know about that. However I went and asked my server if they would do anything special for her, he offered to bring her a slice of cake with a candle in which that was greatly appreciated. Overall my dining experience that afternoon was good but not great. I would go again only because of the atmosphere and the fair options they had at the salad bar knowing that everything was quite fresh.
Thanks for reading everyone!
This was for Winterlicious. The food was unremarkable but okay, however, service got noticeably worse as the night went on. Server did not ask us if our meal was okay and seemed to gain an attitude before the night was over. A somewhat disappointing experience.
Lovely setting, bright and sunny, felt like a French cafe. Salad selection on the buffet was excellent with lots of interesting, unusual variety.
This is my third time here for the Sunday branch, high price comes with high expectations. Overall the food is good, excellent hot food and salad selections, just enough cold cut cured meat, great dessert. But the service is not so great and it's getting worse from the first I visited. I don't need to be treated like a loyalties but it is worse than an average fine dinning restaurant. I will think twice about visiting in the future.
Always a beautiful experience! Brunch was wonderful and ambience and decor made experience just that much more delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!
- The price of their lunch is reasonable
- Restaurant with elegant furnishing
- Excellent service
- Food is good but nothing special - Can get similar foods somewhere else
- Parking around those area is quite expensive
-Made it very clear that the booking was for a birthday.
-Never given a dessert menu or asked if dessert was wanted.
-Server gave everyone the individual bills before we had a chance to request them.
-Had to then ask that they be grouped by couple.
Great ambiance and high ceilings. Great service with friendly staff. Food was consistently great and every dish tasted fresh.
very lovely experience . i like the music . bring up everything . food is great service is great .
Food was not labelled and was not kept tidy. Food was not often replenished and often had missing tongs/utensils for serving.
Winterlicious 2018 lunch menu was great. Must try if you have not already.
One of the best restaurants in Toronto. Will definitely go back for lunch/dinner.
Great specialty drinks. Great fresh onion soup and salad. Entree was not as good as I expected it would be. Waiter seemed inexperienced
Collette Cafe was everything I imagined. The ambiance and food presentation was impeccable. I really enjoyed the lavender lemon soda as well. I would come back again.
Food quality could be improved to match the beautiful atmosphere
The food and service were good. A great selection of items and exceptionally well prepared. Only challenge is that I had mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and there was no knowledge or anything special provided in service for that occasion. The servers were great but sometimes delayed with drinks due to it being full and they had too many tables to serve between them. Given that the cost is $60 per person for the buffet, I had expected that little bit extra regarding service. All in all - it is definitely a must try as the food is exceptional.
Colette Grand Cafe has super pretty and Parisian style interior with French spirit of place. Amazing brunch with tasty food, very nice service and friendly atmosphere. The brunch is bit pricey but worth it. Salads were amazing with perfect blend of dressing and breakfast items creeps, omelets and pancake were very delicious. The salmon wellington was my favorite and taste so good. A good place to hang-out on the weekends with friends.
Service was excellent, we barely noticed the servers throughout the evening. Food was exceptional, food came hot out of the kitchen and was served with grace. French onion soup, Moules and the duck was outstanding.
Delectable as always! Never disappointed. Service was a tad slow, but it was busy for brunch. Our server was very courteous. A bit of a tight squeeze between tables in some areas. Would recommend to anyone as the best brunch in the city.
Great all the way around!
