We offer a range of small plates, hot and cold, which remix French classics - Steak Tartare, Mussels, Steak Frites, Salads, along with Cheese and Charcuterie boards and French desserts: Mousse au Chocolat, Crème Brûlée, Beignets... Everything is made in house with love, we start from scratch everyday.
The star of our drink menu is definitely the wine, more than 30 references by the glass! But we also serve beers, ciders and cocktails crafted by our mixologists.
We are located in the Porter Square Hotel in Cambridge.
Need to book at 10:15 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Wonderful food and service. This has become our go to neighborhood restaurant.
Excellent Menu - friendly staff - great experience!
Loved the decor and the food was great!
Brunch was wonderful with cappaccinos, strawberry mimosa, chocolate croisant, and fruit bowl to start. Then eggs benedict with loks, steak and eggs, and more cappaccinos!! We ended with bread pudding and creme brulee! Beautiful decor with big parlor chairs in which to sit and enjoy your meal. Our waitress Labranine was fantastic and took good care of us. Loved this place, it's clean, shabby chic, and friendly!
Great food, good wines, really great service, made a very last minute late reservation and it was accommodated perfectly. Décor and lighting make the space very inviting and equally appropriate for a group dinner with friends or an intimate birthday celebration. It's our second time here since November. Was interested in seeing if the menu had changed- but it hasn't yet- maybe that's coming with Spring.
Awesome experience! Loved everything about Colette. Our waiter Alexander was wonderful
Great! I loved it
Lovely room on a sunny morning, good food and service.
We had a last minute snafu at another restaurant, so made a last minute reservation at Colette. They were very accommodating and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious and good portions. Creative approach to some dishes, which pleasantly surprised us.
Food& experience were pleasant- a wet evening, they helped us dry out too.
They Went to some effort to provide the right table. Birthday design on the dessert was an unexpected bonus. Some of the main courses are $$$$ but the salads and apps are good values.
I loved Colette! If you're one of those people looking for an instagrammable restaurant this is it. This place has a nice ambiance and the service was really good. The french onion soup was very tasty. My only complaint would be that the tables are very small. It left me very little space to place my belongings like my wallet, my phone, and my sun glasses on the table at the same time as my food and drinks were on it. Kind of annoying but not a huge deal. Overall Cute place!
Beautiful restaurant with authentic French food. Our server Majd was amazing. All the staff was super nice. A true gem in Cambridge.
As always, their brunch was absolutely delicious! The ambience is adorable, and service was great. Looking forward to the next time!
Colette has no shortcomings. Creative spins on classics that are prepared well... attentive and knowledgeable servers and staff...well decorated and beautiful surroundings...excellent wine list and inventive cocktails...
In its first year alone Colette has become one our favorite places to dine. Whether on a date with my wife or out with friends, we know we will not be disappointed.
If you have not been, go.
I love this place! Decor and food
Wonderful, we’ll definitely come back!
We went for Valentine’s Day, at was so cute! Fixed menu for the holiday, and the options were all fantastic, we had a hard time choosing! Will definitely return!
Way too expensive
Wonderful food and service. This modern French bistro delivers consistently. We have eaten here several a times and have never been disappointed.
Seemed like they were trying to turn our table quickly...prix fixe not a good value... server didn’t bother to offer any tea/coffee for desert. Felt like they took one look at us and sat us in a dark corner.
We had a wonderful evening. It was decorated for Valentines Day and was thoughtful and with good taste. The meals were lovely and the wait staff helpful. We'll be happy to come again and celebrate other memorable opportunities. Thank you
My wife and I enjoyed ba Valentine's day lunch. The tartins (open face sandwiches on toasted baguette) were delicious, beautifully presented, and accompanied by a frisse lettuce salad with a perfect vinaigrette. We'll be going back to try the cream brulle or mousse au chocolate.
This review is for Sunday Brunch only.
Reasonable prices for food and drinks.
Lovely atmosphere. Great service.
I suggest to make reservations, Sundays fill up.
Great place for lunch. Salads and tartines are excellent. Service is very good and efficient.
Name has changed to Holt’s Cafe.
Beautiful surroundings and warm, very fine and friendly service, glorious food and drinks!
Great experience, one of our favorite restaurants. Great ambience highly recommend
The booth seating was very comfortable and the bread and water service very well executed. The table was a bit cramped.... but the the sace was a god kind of cozy . The access/path to restrooms broke with the bistrot atmosphère and jarringly reminded me we were in a hotel business lounge . Food /dessert very good!
Food is great, as is the overall ambiance, but at peak dinnertime the noise level was such that i could not hear the waiter or my companion.
Perfect all the way. Delicious food, great service, convenient location...
Found this place on open table and absolutely loved it! Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a total of 7 people and they were able to accommodate us all. Our waiter was amazing. The food was delicious and the wine selection was vast. Will 10/10 come back!
Great cocktails, tasty risotto, and the nutella mousse is was delicious!
Love this place. Full of charm and the food is authentically French.
Again great time at Colette. Great server!
Delicious! Great food; fun brunch cocktails; great ambience but a tad loud but we will be back!!
Great spot, however it really gets crazy loud and can be hard to hear people at your table speak.
I just love this place!...and I’m French :-)
Great place to get together with friends, the ambience is upscale yet relaxed. We enjoyed the charcuterie platter and our entrees, and we hope to have enough room to try the desserts afterwards.
Great decor and ambience, good service, excellent wine list and tasty drinks. However, food was inconsistent in quality with some dishes being downright inedible (lobster bisque). Portions were too small and the prices were too expensive. Colette is good for a drink and a snack but I wouldn't waste your money on dinner.
Outstanding French brasserie with a baroque and modern feel. Service is very keen on making the occasion a fabulous moment.
While the food was incredible, bad service ruined this for us. The waitress had no idea what was going on. When I OK'd her recommendation for a bottle of wine, she did not put the order in. When she finally brought the wine after I asked where it was, she showed me the bottle and then poured the taste for my dinner partner (wrong). It took 45 minutes from the time we sat down for anything other than bread and water to hit the table. We ordered a combination of small plates, all of which came at once (except for one dish???), which made the delicious French Onion Soup hard to enjoy, as it was getting cold and my creamy fettuccine was ignored while trying to enjoy the other tasty bites. By the time I got to the fettuccine, the cream sauce had congealed (ew). Mercifully, they remade the fettuccine.
Between the bad service and an ambiance that prevented you from hearing yourself think, we are very unlikely to return, barring the restaurant figuring out how to fix any and all of this.
