Excellent food and excellent service. John L was our server and was very attentive to our needs. There was s slight snafu with the scallop special that was ordered by me and another in our party - there were only enough scallops for two apiece and the manager explained the situation and added some salmon to the special as well. After the two of us had the special with the salmon we felt like it would be a great special offering for the future. The scallops were some of the best scallops I'd ever had. Can't wait to return. Thank you for a special evening.
Great service. Delicious food cooked perfectly. Upbeat atmosphere.
We took our friends from Cincinnati to Coles for dinner, and they said the food was better then the Precinct’s! The grilled Ceaser salad, salmon and filet were all wonderful.
The menu is interesting and carefully explained. The food is well prepared, and the staff are kind, friendly and very accommodating. Lovely atmosphere, not stuffy. The bar is cozy and inviting - feels like a good dinner party with friends.
It is great to see the owner chef circulating among the diners.
Fantastic! Service was superb, food was scrumptious, and as usual we left extremely content. Coles is consistently good and remains one of our favorites for special occasions and date night!
My ABSOLUTE favorite dining experience in Lexington!! Amazing in every aspect!!
Coles is our favorite, high class, Outstanding food, outstanding service.
Outstanding service. Excellent food.
Such Excellent service! Top rated restaurant!
Best food, best service and best decor for a nice, private dinner in town.
Great cocktails, food was delicious!
Excellent, as usual.
This is an upscale place to dine. It’s expected to be quiet so all can enjoy their meal, I love that. The only draw back is seating. We went as a table of four and there was NO room for all of us at a tiny bistro sized table. Other people bumped into us, backed into our seats, servers couldn’t get by so that part was rather annoying. The lack of space was the real bummer, but the delicious food made up for it!
Warm inviting ambiance, stellar service, delicious creative dishes.
As usual, the service and food was good and it’s always a special place to dine. We’ve been there several times and will definitely be back again.
Although the food was quite good, a salad and an appetizer are a must.
Food was excellent as always. The duck breast that my husband ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious. My filet was slightly less rare than I prefer, but nonetheless very tasty and tender. Love the cubes of smoked Weisenberger Mills grits that are served with it although I am normally not a bit grits fan. My husband tried a bourbon, blackberry and ginger liqueur cocktail that he really enjoyed. Yolanda was an excellent server.
Cole's is always a good choice. I've never had a bad meal there, and this was no exception.
Staff extremely friendly and service is great.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating my wife's birthday at Cole's! Our server Hayden was very friendly. We really enjoyed the brussel sprout salad and loved the beef shoulder and mac&cheese. Thanks so much--we'll be back soon! :)
An excellent dining experience! Great food across a wide group of choices, excellent wait staff and nice ambiance! One of our top Lexington choices for fine dining.
First, I made our reservations on line. The system would not allow me to pick 6:00, so I settled for 5:45. When we arrived, there were only one other table occupied. At 6:00, we figured that it was going to be busy. it wasn't. When we left at 6:30, only 2 additional tables were taken. Second, I was SO disappointed with our meal. For the money that we paid (over $80 for two with no alcohol), the portions were incredibly small, especially the veggies. I selected the salmon, which was...OK. Nothing special. My husband selected the beef shoulder. It was VERY tough and a tad too much pepper. He did enjoy the gravy. Again, the veggie sides were incredibly small. I wouldn't call the veggies sides, more like a tasting. He did order a side of asparagus and when it was placed on the table, we both laughed. There was more asparagus than both of our meals combined! The service, however, is probably the best we have ever had. In the section "What you recommend this restaurant for", I would have to add...To park my car while visiting Fayette Co. Public Schools main office.
We had an excellent waiter who was well-schooled and helped my wife select a special bourbon that met her taste profile. I had a delicious bone-in pork chop.
Food portions were generous. Service was excellent. We had reservations at 8pm on a Saturday night, and did not feel rushed. The bar area is very attractive and a great place to enjoy a drink. We actually walked from our downtown Hilton hotel... very nicely located.
I had an amazing time at Coles 735 on Main! Made reservations easily on OpenTable. The food was 5 star! Highly recommend the Beef Shoulder and Creme Brûlée!
Great place to celebrate any special occasion or to simply enjoy a night out. The steaks and salmon are delicious; you will not be disappointed. We will be back soon!
Good service, good food butt the acoustics are such that it is not always easy to have a conversation when dining at Cole’s. We stopped going for a while because the last time we went it was so crowded and so noisy we had to yell at our gusts and no one had a good time. Need to do something about the noise level
The overall dining experience was fantastic! Try the baked Brie and the duck — wonderful.
We enjoy Cole's regularly. The food is always great, but this was the first time the server was awful. I believe it was an abnormal event and will go back.
The food was outstanding and the presentation was excellent. The carrot cake was to die for. Best I have ever eaten.
Went there for Fathers Day. Excellent meal every time we go.
Service, food, and drink were exquisite. Decor is very shabby chic, which I personally find unappealing.
Cole's provided an amazing dining experience! My meal of a half wedge salad, chicken special, followed by carrot cake with caramel drizzle with a dollop of vanilla ice cream was delicious! Our waiter was superb- when we asked for a bit more ice cream, he brought a full scoop and did not charge us. The wait staff at Cole's is well educated on feature, specials, liquors, & fine wines. Cole's is a favorite spot and never disappoints!
Birthday dinner perfection!
Food was under cooked, however staff took very good care of us after.
The Marksbury farm pork chop was the best I have ever had.
Server could not describe specials and couldn't pronounce words
Ricky was fabulous. The reception person charged our dead iPhone. The night continued to repeatedly get better by the minute. Cole’s is one of our favorites!
Amazing meal, service and atmosphere! We Loved it and we will be back!
