Everything was phenomenal. From the bread to the amazing cookies for dessert.
Coles is a neighborhood jewel. Quaint ambiance great food great service!! Highly recommend
creative menu with good presentation. great for special occasions. stands out in Lexington for fine dining. a classic white tablecloth dining experience, but not stuffy.
It had been a year or so since we'd been to Cole's 735 and absence truly made the heart grow fonder. The service is better, the food is more inventive, and the tables are better spaced for privacy. We ordered both of their special soups and, though both were delicious, we agreed the parsnip and apple soup was a true keeper. It had a flavor profile that just wouldn't quit! One of us had the locally-sourced, bone-in pork chop from the menu, perfectly cooked. And we also liked the fish special, a cobia with basil lemon pesto. As good as the food was, the service was the very best part of the meal. The meal was paced perfectly and our waiter was highly professional, passionate, and knowledgeable. We'll be back soon.
Food and service was top-notch as always. Consistently the best food in Lexington. Servers are knowledgeable and professional and the food can’t be beat in town.
This was not a very good experience. The steak was overly grisly and the sausage in the bangers and mash had some pretty noticeable chunks of bone. I will not be darkening their door again.
Excellent service. Entire staff was friendly and attentive. Phenomenal food. Pork chop cooked to perfection. Lobster Bisque was the best I have ever had. Dinner special was fresh seafood stew and cooked perfectly. Offered complementary desert because it was our anniversary. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff.
Our dinner was great! The Service was wonderful! They were so kind to help us surprise our daughter for her birthday with a cake we had brought because she has a gluten allergy! I highly recommend, always have a fantastic meal!
The overall atmosphere was very enjoyable as well as rustic. The food was prepared with care and tasted excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied from start to finish.
The salmon I had was cooked to perfection and the risotto was creamy, rich, and quite flavorful. My fiancée's chicken was cooked properly and the pasta al dente.
The only negative I have is charging 8.50 per glass of Mich Ultra, however aside from that our overall experience was enjoyable.
As always, a great meal and atmosphere. Our food was fantastic for all four at the table and our waiter, Jared, was excellent. Will be back soon and to try Cole’s new venture later this year.
Been there many times. Tonight was first time the service was very slow!! As always, food was fantastic!
Coles is our go to place for a nice date night dinner. We have never been disappointed. Excellent waiter. Menu offerings are always fresh and creative. The bourbon flights are a fun treat.
Coles is always great! Plenty other places to go in Lexington which are less expensive. But, we pay and enjoy going here because there’s rarely a surprise. The food, choices and service were all outstanding.
Great service. Great food!!!! Loved the bar area.
Excellent food and service
OUR EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD AS ALWAYS.
We truly enjoy Coles.
Great food, service and overall experience. Went there for my birthday with family and they talked behind the scenes to make sure I had a candle on my dessert. I know I put it on open table when I reserved the table but they never mentioned it until they brought it out, I just thought that was great service.
We had dinner for a party of 5, cocktails, wine, appetizers, entree and dessert. Everything was very good to excellent, and the total bill was about 20% less than I would have expected. The baked brie and the smoked salmon appetizers were especially good. We were dining at peak time (7:00 on a Friday) and the service was impeccable. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but overall a great experience.
Coles 735 Main hits it out of the park again. I love the herb crusted chicken and my date loves the filet. Our appetizer of choice at the moment is the shrimp tempura. We also love the bread basket, it is hard to choose which bread we like the best, the pepper biscuits, the rosemary rolls, or the ciabatta bread. The Chef Cole also came by our table to see how we were doing. Thanks Cole.
This place is a gem for its quiet but beautiful ambiance. The food was outstanding from the Filet Mignon, to the Salmon, to the Pork Chops... and the side dishes were equally as delicious! The service was impeccable, warm and friendly. You truly felt as though you were the only folks there and you could hear conversation without loud music playing.
It was wonderful! Highly recommend! Best steak I have had in Lexington in quite some time.
Cute and cozy. Not a large selection on the menu. Meal price did not match quality.
Dinner for 2. We each had a nightly special and both were exceptional. For dessert we each had carrot cake which came with a dollop of cinnamon gelato. The entrees were a masterpiece pleasing to the eye, and equally pleasing to the pallet. Our server was very attentive. This is a great place for special occasions or nightly dining. Our entrees were about $35 each and for the culinary experience well worth it.
We were celebrating my friend’s purchase of a new home, and this was the perfect place! The setting is wonderful and the salmon was delicious- perfectly cooked!
Excellent food and service!!!
I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. It was all good. Prices indicated was $31 to $50. But when I got there the meal was $75’per person for Valentine’s Day. No options allowed to order off menu. I called couple of times but no one mentioned the menu was Valentine’s Day menu or price. They should have updated on Open Table the change in price as other restaurants had done. A few of them had done this. This could have been embarrassing for someone who was not prepared. Seating was too close to other patrons. I had to ask to be reseated but it was too close. Dessert was awful. Cookies for dessert? The only saving thing was the tenderloin and finger potatoes. Disappointed!
As always...delicious!! Coming here never lets me down.
Excellent food and service. We will be back!
Coles never disappoints, wonderful food, service and atmosphere!! My favorite restaurant in Lexington!
Everything was great, the price reflects the exceptional food. Definitely worth it, will be back!
Well prepared upscale food at a reasonable price point and friendly, attentive service.
The service at Cole's was impeccable. Every course was beautifully plated and delicious.
Coles 735 Main was spot on for our Valentine Eve dinner. Jacob's service was prompt, but not intrusive. Well done, Jacob. New York strip prepared medium rare was on the money and seasoned just right. One of the best steaks in Lexington. We look forward to our return trip.
Cole's never disappoints! Went for an early Valentine's Day date with my wife. Had a lovely evening, excellent food and pleasant atmosphere. Service was excellent as usual. One of my favorite places to eat in Lexington.
Coles is a solid "Yes" for food and ambiance.
Service is very good.
Food is good.
I wish they had more vegetarian offerings.
The bar area is cozy and offers a great place for a pre-dinner drink.
Everything was great! Never disappoints!
Really enjoyed our first trip to Cole's. Warm, cozy atmosphere. Attentive- but not obtrusive- service. Delicious- but not pretentious- special occasion food. Best flavor in a filet I've ever experienced and the crispy grits were the ideal pairing. The freshly baked chocolate chip cookies were a perfect end to the meal. Thanks Coles. We'll be back!
My husband and I had the scallops, ny strip, mushrooms, bakes brie appetizer, and the chocolate cookies with ice cream. All were as good as it gets. Would not change a single thing.
Coles is one of my favorite restaurants - probably best food in town! We went there for celebration of an anniversary, and we were not disappointed! It was a superb experience - casual but special... Our server (Jared) was very attentive and the food was just AWESOME. The wine list makes your head spin: great wines from all over the world for a reasonable price.
