This restaurant housed in a former bank building in the heart of downtown Tipp City offers quality dining in a small-town setting. The decor is warm and welcoming and is a delight for the senses. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere while the full bar allows patrons a relaxing stop while awaiting a fabulous meal. The inviting atmosphere encourages relaxed conversation. You may be surprised to find that a restaurant in such a small town has some rather sophisticated choices on the menu alongside your more normal fare, with entrees such as ostrich being offered. If you are looking for a decadent dessert, look no further than the butter-drenched English Tea Cake! An easy drive from all points in the Dayton area, words cannot do it justice. A visit is a must and will be the first of many.

    We really enjoy this restaurant and we decided to invite our friends who we get together monthly for dinner to introduce them to this great restaurant. The services was excellent. The food was outstanding and we really enjoyed dinning here. As usual the fired green tomatoes is great. The duck is excellent and deficiently save room for desserts. Or take some home such as the carrot cakes or chocolate cake.

    We were very grateful for the constant attention we received from the moment we walked in the door. They made us comfortable and welcome. Our server made sure to take away dirty dishes and provided a carafe of water for our table. Our booth was private and the atmosphere was relaxed but very classy. We enjoyed our conversation and our food very much! My brother had the duck, I had the salmon, and my daughter had the pasta. The food was presented in a tasteful and professional manner. Everything was cooked to perfection! Excellent flavor! Highly recommended!

    Wonderful experience eating on the patio. Our waitress was wonderful! Unfortunately, I forget her name. Appetizer of brussel sprouts was the best we have had. This is our 3rd time eating at Coldwater Cafe, and each experience was superb. We have a new favorite ❤️

    We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Coldwater and it was lovely. Food was excellent, service was great, and atmosphere was better than I even expected. We look forward to coming back soon.

    We go to Coldwater Cafe for lunch on a semi regular basis. Not a huge menu, but the food is excellent. It was perfect weather for having lunch on their patio. Today I had the shrimp tacos and my husband had the crab cake salad. Both we very good. The only drawback to the restaurant is that they don’t serve regular iced tea. They have mint tea and a sweet fruity one.. I think it’s called Nashville tea.

    Another wonderful experience at Coldwater Cafe. John and Amy continue their excellence in craft cocktails. The smoked Old Fashioned is perfection. Shannon ensured we had an excellent table and was courteous and professional as usual. Bethany’s service was impeccable. She took great care of us. The wedge salad was crisp, fresh and tasty. The Sous Vide New York Strip special was prepared excellently. The ribeye was a wonderful cut, served at the perfect temperature. The chocolate mousse cake was a nice treat. All in all, the dinner and service could not have been better.

    We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. We chose to sit outside. The Friday evening traffic was a little loud but it was a beautiful evening. The food and service were excellent!

    This review is easy to write! Everything was fantastic! My friend and I pick Coldwater because we know that our food and experience will be wonderful. My sirloin and street corn salad was excellent. The meat was perfectly cooked and the flavors blended well. I cannot eat cilantro so that was remove with no problem. We catch up during our time which is easy to do because it is not loud. Our server was wonderful too. The final perfect touch was dessert! Coldwater does this exceptionally well too. I usually get the Carrot cake but tried the Banana Pudding Cheesecake. It was so rich it just melted in your mouth. Going to Coldwater Cafe is always a treat because you know the food will be excellent. Thanks for a great day! See you soon!

    It is three days later and I am still obsessing over the fried green tomato appetizer. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Excellent service from John & an all around lovely evening. We will be back

    John provided incredible service, especially considering the bar area was quite busy. The cuisine was outstanding. The Ciopino special and the filet were prepared to perfection. It was an exceptionally enjoyable experience.

    Fabulous as always! I was there a few weeks ago and talked so much about the fried green tomato grilled cheese sandwich that others friends wanted to try it. Their verdict strings up all around! Even though they were quite busy, service was perfect as was the food and noise level. Great job!

    We visited with another couple two nights ago and they have not stopped talking about it since! Everything was incredible. Drinks were on point (even made me a coconut mojito by request) and quick. We shared fried green tomatoes and brussel sprouts to start, followed by a variety of salads and the peach soup, all of which were fabulous. The amazing entrees were Faroe Island Salmon (perfection), Duck Confit(wow), Shrimp & Grits, and a New York Strip special. We didn't need 3 desserts but we got them anyway and I'm still happy about it. Because our friends keep talking about it over text with us we visited again last night. We are lucky enough to be local. Best restaurant in Ohio in our opinion!

    The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We went for our Wedding Anniversary and were treated wonderful. We were given a complimentary glass of Champange and whenever one of the servers would go by our table, they would wish us a "Happy Anniversary !" That is what I would call Exceptional customer service!!! The food was some of the "BEST" we have ever had, Seasoned perfectly, Correct temperature, and Outstanding flavor. We will definitely go back again.

    We had a group of ladies who had not visited in 3-4 years....we were in the Boardroom which helped one lady to hear conversation better! Our server was EXCELLENT! Most professional and dignified! The food was great; we had a variety of lunches and desserts and all were outstanding! The crust on the quiche was superb....we decided they must have a pastry chef and our server confirmed that they do!! A great experience for us. Thank you Coldwater Cafe.

    The food is to die for, especially the lobster cakes. It’s a bit pricey, but service is outstanding. Our server, LeeAnn, was very attentive. We never had to look for her or ask another server for help. She always seemed to stop by and check on us at just the right times. The atmosphere is delightful.
