Cold Storage Seafood
Delicious! Our waiter was very nice and accommodating, though I'd love someone that knows a bit more about seafood.
Food was great and the server was very nice. Most of us enjoyed the $26 lunch special which had good portions. There were 9 of us for a work lunch and service took over two hours, which is too long. Stools become extremely uncomfortable after an hour there. Restaurant was not full so no idea why it took so long
Really chill atmosphere and wonderful, fresh seafood. I'll be visiting again.
Love the high quality food and the amazing wine list... with zero pretension. Space is great - modern, clean. Service is knowledgeable and unobtrusive.
Delicious! Great for a date night yet casual
My boyfriend and son went there for a birthday dinner, everything was delish, especially the oysters! Prices were very fair for seafood! Cocktails were yummy and the after-dinner port was great too! I recommend and would return. Our server had a great attitude and very helpful!
Great food, very knowledgeable server. Drinks are very tasty.
Servers were pretty terrible. Disengaged and disinformed. For example, we ordered several types of oysters and a server, not our main server, just dropped them at the table. We looked around for a second then realized she was not going to inform us the identity of each. So when we inquired, she asked if "we wanted the ticket". We said OK and she literally brought the order ticket with the oysters listed, which we obviously knew already, but did not identify what each of the oysters were on the tray. It seemed to escape her we knew what we ordered but did not know which they were on the serving tray. When she came back to retrieve some plates and the tray, she just asked "are you guys ordering more?". Suffice to say she was pretty terrible. Good food, great drinks and atmosphere hampered by terrible service. Which is usually not the case as we've been there before.
I don't think Cold Storage is worth it. The restaurant is overpriced for the portions you receive.
Excellent food and service. Looking forward to going again.
Excellent food (chef Katie). Excellent service (Nestor). Comfortable surroundings. Love it. A great go to brunch!!!
Friend recommended Cold Storage and it didn’t disappoint. My wife and I had twins 8 weeks ago and we are now looking for restaurants that can accommodate strollers, tolerate babies, and has a moderate noise level. We ordered an assortment of small plates, mains, oysters. I ordered the salmon poke special and is worth ordering again. We will be back again!
the crab appetizer smelled fishy and unappealing the rest of the food was nothing special
Everything we ordered was delicious. The dishes were flavorful and the seafood very fresh. However the portions were very small. We ordered 2 starters, crab knuckles and the large plate of mussels and had to order 2 more large plates to be satiated. It was only 2 of us it was $150 and we only ordered 2 glasses of wine.
Great service great seafood. Booth was nice. Only criticism was that the dessert could have been better.
Great food and quiet enough for a good conversation. We’d definitely go back.
We went for happy hour, the food was great, but the service was awful. It took over 20 minutes to get the oysters we ordered, and people who were seated after us and ordered after us were getting their food before us. They had also ordered oysters so there shouldn't have been a time difference. Itwasn't just a slight delay, is was at least 20 minutes to get the oysters and each additional plate took awhile. The food was tasty but took way too long.
We had a wonderful time! My mother really enjoyed herself and Adam was great! My mom loved Adams eyes😂
Cold Storage was a fun energetic place to be, the seafood was very good, presentation was very nice and they were great about acknowledging our anniversary. THANKS!
Sunday date day
Went for the first time this past weekend. Must say we had a very good meal and service. Tried one of their "tower" meals (first time I ever sampled a dish like this) and very much enjoyed it. Our server, Oscar, was attentive, happy to explain the menu (which was a little confusing for us first time diners) and did a great job keeping us up to date on our meal's preparation progress.
After I made the reservation, I noticed that almost all of the seating consists of high tables and bar stools with no backs. This isn't was I was expecting from an upscale establishment. I requested that we be seated at one of the few booths with regular seats and was delighted when our hostess was able to accommodate our request.
Very good meal and service, but if we have to sit at the backless bar stools, not sure we would go back.
The service was great. It had the feel of a tourist destination restaurant. It was Father's day and they offered Happy hour oysters the entire day, which was great for us and enjoyable. The cocktails were costly but tasted great.
The hostess was accommodating for us to get one of the three booths available with chair backs and for the most part the food was very good. I would suggest no one order the king crab legs as they are sold as 1 or 2 legs. My wife ordered the single leg and when it arrived everyone at the table thought it was a snow crab leg based on its size. when we asked the waiter all he said was they sell them as 1 or 2 legs. Didn't offer to substitute anything else, so that kind of put a damper on the evening. The crab knuckle appetizer was wonderful and if you have your heart set on crab just order the appetizer as your entre. You will be much happier and save some money. The rest on the orders were prepared well and worth the money. Just stay away from the small crab legs!!!
Food was very average. Had Steak and Frites. Steak was well over 50%.
Food is top notch. Best fish & chips in the city! Oysters are awesome too.
Service was lacking and we expected the food to be better and/or larger servings for the prices. The towers are fun but maybe not the freshest or best quality for being a seafood place. It was a unique dinner experience though!
So great !
Crab knuckle and asparagus delicious
Sommelier seemed high but got a great wine from her
Not loving the TVs but that’s just my vibe
Loved it !
The food was mediocre and seemed over priced. We didn’t have any season towers which might have been better to order. The regular food was average
I thought the menu was great and the food lacked flavor. Nice ambience and good service. Will need to give them a second chance but underwhelming first experience.
Had a reservation for 7:45 and my table was not ready until 8:10 so my date and I sat at the bar and ate.
Entrees took about 30 to 40 minutes to come out. A person ordered a to go order next to us about 8 minutes after we ordered and they got their orders before us.
The bar tenders gave us a free shot to make up for the long wait time for the food which was really cool! :-)
Completely underwhelmed. Went for our anniversary. The server barely spoke to us. Never made any recommendations. Ordered the crab knuckles. Taste was there, value was not. Smallest portion of fries ever.
My boyfriend and I loved Cold Storage. The $1 oysters were fresh and delicious, the Japanese pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, and my crab omelet was the best omelet I've ever eaten. I would go back every weekend for brunch if I could.
Great place for oysters and great service!
Great service but the food was subpar. Not what I was expecting.
Perfect spot for a late lunch on a Sunday :) our server Kelly was great and answered all of our questions in detail. We got the whitefish dip, salmon belly, poke, whitefish sandwich, half a dozen oysters ($1 each for their Sunday happy hour!), and the scallop ceviche. Everything was wonderful - I probably wouldn’t order the ceviche again, just because it was creamier than I was expecting and not as light and refreshing. It sort of seemed like a variation of the whitefish dip. We still ate it though!
Food was below average and the mussels came from a box.
Great food and superb service. $$$$$
