Had a reservation for 7:45 and my table was not ready until 8:10 so my date and I sat at the bar and ate.

Entrees took about 30 to 40 minutes to come out. A person ordered a to go order next to us about 8 minutes after we ordered and they got their orders before us.

The bar tenders gave us a free shot to make up for the long wait time for the food which was really cool! :-)

Completely underwhelmed. Went for our anniversary. The server barely spoke to us. Never made any recommendations. Ordered the crab knuckles. Taste was there, value was not. Smallest portion of fries ever.

My boyfriend and I loved Cold Storage. The $1 oysters were fresh and delicious, the Japanese pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, and my crab omelet was the best omelet I've ever eaten. I would go back every weekend for brunch if I could.

Perfect spot for a late lunch on a Sunday :) our server Kelly was great and answered all of our questions in detail. We got the whitefish dip, salmon belly, poke, whitefish sandwich, half a dozen oysters ($1 each for their Sunday happy hour!), and the scallop ceviche. Everything was wonderful - I probably wouldn’t order the ceviche again, just because it was creamier than I was expecting and not as light and refreshing. It sort of seemed like a variation of the whitefish dip. We still ate it though!

Came in for oysters, apps, and desserts. I believe the oysters here are a bit expensive compared to the other locations in West Loop, where here they offer them by an oyster, which can add up very quickly (Swift & Sons had them at better pricing). Regadless it was great that they offered about 8 different types of oysters to choose from. The calamari was little lacking in flavor, so we squeezed a bunch of lemon on top. They dont have afterdinner cocktails neither, it was only available in Swift & Sons. Being that said we were better off at Swift & Sons. Our server was very attentive and pleasant, gave us the time we needed and space too.

Pleasantly surprise by this diamond among the other restaurants in the Fulton District! Very fresh seafood, with a lot of variety from oysters and clams to sardines and the chef's special of Halibut. The Salmon Poke bowl was a hit as well as the fish and chips! I am personally glad that the other four restaurants we considered didn't have a table for five at 5:15 pm on a Saturday, as we would have overlooked this gem of restaurant!!! I look forward to stopping by on my way home one night soon for Happy Hour!!

Sad to say this will be my last time at Cold Storage. This place has been a go to for Monday lunches for me and my husband, maybe 10-12 visits total? Last visit we were not in love with the new menu changes and tonight was a worse experience. We waited 15 mins to be acknowledged by our server, and another 15 mins for drinks. Dollar oysters were all bad. My co worker and I ordered Six and we only ate 2. No one made a mention when they were cleared. We tried to order more oysters from their menu but they were out of several of the selections. The other favorite I have always order (fresh fish prepared a la pancha) was sold down to 1 fish option only. This all happened at 5:30 at night. We were so disappointed by our experience we went to Swift and Sons for dinner. It was a better experience.

Had dinner in Cold Storage and the server and management was outstanding. There was an issue with a few folks sitting next to us that were making a scene, so much so I had to ask to be moved. When we were moving these people made incredibly rude comments to us. The management moved us to a nice booth in their fine dining restaurant and made our experience wonderful. Thanks team it was awesome.

Great for a romantic late night, could get a booth with well behaved kids, and a great spot to mingle with your besties over delicious cocktails, and sweet and briny seafood towers!

Loved having a lil late night valentines dinner here with my partner.

We ordered the John Hancock seafood tower for 2 and a couple other dishes. The seafood was fresh and the food tasted good but the tower didn’t come with clams as the menu said it would. Our server didn’t mention anything about being out of clams so I assumed we had everything. I realized after our meal that we were missing a key item. The food was good but can’t help feeling gypped.

We dined during restaurant week and overall in terms of food & service we had a lovely experience. However, I have to mention that we were all a bit shocked by the fact that they do not offer free refills on iced tea and on top of that, each tea was $3.50. I have worked in the food industry for a very long time, and I personally think this was a bit much, when iced tea (like soda) cost next to nothing to have on hand and pour. Secondly, the stools in the bar were the most uncomfortable stools I have ever sat in. The bars for your feet were either too low or too high to use comfortably, and by the end of the meal your butt hurt so bad you couldn't wait to get up and leave.

I enjoyed the food and ambience was nice. I would have gave the food more stars if the desert was a bit more unique. It's kind of weird to go from rocking seafood to a cookie ice cream sandwich. Mimosa was strong and boozy...liked it! As far as staff, very welcoming @ the door. No place to sit while I wait for a table?? The waiters' runner was the hardest working person there. I would have given him the entire tip. Waiter barely looked in our direction. What a shame...I won't return.

Very small space, only 3 booths everything else are high top tables with backless stools. No place to put you coa on these backless stools. The mussels on the website and what was on the menu had two different descriptions. It was a highly recommended item that was not very good.
