My husband I had a taste for seafood and what a perfect place for just that! We had lobster and shrimp it was excellent
Fantastic food and exceptional service! We will be back for sure.
The oysters were wonderful and the avocado toast with crab was delicious!
Trendy which also means expensive...small portions, fish over-grilled, not worth the price, I prefer other restaurants in town
Great deal on happy hour specials, however it took a very long time for our oysters to come out.
Solid happy hour w/ $1 oysters.
Maybe the best sundaes in town.
I was visiting in from Detroit hanging with friend and I had grilled snapper which was delicious. Portions were on the light side but the service and ambiance were excellent.
This restaurant falls into the just fine catagory. It’s steps from Swift & Sons which feels like you are at the 2nd place restaurant. The restaurant is very small and almost feels like an app place for S&S. The food was very good and the service was great. I wondered why it was so easy to get reservations on a Saturday night and now I know why. Try it, you won’t be disappointed but you may wish you were someplace else.
Brunch food was pretty disappointing, but staff were helpful and accommodated our group of nine, including two babies. The best thing we ordered were the hashbrowns. Brunch menu is oddly eclectic and reflects a lack of focus with specialties from the Mediterranean, East Asia and originals like clam chowder fries. I would not go back.
I will definitely be going back to Cold Storage. We got the seafood tower and there were a couple of things I was less into than others, but overall delicious and we left full and happy.
This was our first time at Cold Storage for brunch on a Sunday. Was pretty quiet but I can see how it could get lively real quick. EXCELLENT seafood spot. This is a great spot located in Swift & Sons - in the way too cool Fulton Market area. Love this place. I had the shrimp & grits along with a mimosa, my husband had the crab omelette. Both were wonderful! Staff were friendly & attentive, and were helpful with suggestions. This was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!
Service was impeccable; friendly without pretense and efficient. She made the meal very enjoyable. Oysters were great. All the entrees were well prepared and well priced. WIll return again soon.
We’ve eaten here many times and enjoy the food. Went for their new brunch service. The food was great!
Good food/ good service!!
Went for a birthday dinner. The food was fresh and delicious. Was slightly put off when we told our server we had a birthday at our table and she dismissed it, yet brought a dessert to the table next to us for a birthday. Slightly soured the experience. The birthday was noted in the reservation also.
Very disappointed that many wines and food choices not available. Seams also that the wine director did not care.
If you have a theme at the restaurant and people come for this and the only 3 of 12 choices are available this is bad.
Most tables are high tops so be sure to request a booth if that is important to you or your group!
Our server, Abby, was fantastic and knew when to ask to keep things moving and when to let us enjoy our conversation. And a pleasant demeanor and quick with a smile. The food was very good but some of the portions were quite small for the price, particularly the calamari.
Service was good and food was okay.
Nothing remarkable. Spent too much money on mediocre fare.
Brunch was so much fun. The decor and tableware went with the theme of seafood without being cheesy. Japanese pancakes are a must for brunch! Seafood was very fresh and delish. Can't wait to come back for happy hour with $1 oysters!
We were in in town and wanted some raw oysters and specifically clams before dinner. Unfortunately on the first visit they ran out of clams. So we ordered some of the special oysters available and written on the mirror.
We came back a week later for their happy hour for oysters and clams from their regular menu. Again, NO CLAMS. The happy hour oysters were only $1 but sadly they had NO flavor. I would recommend trying just a few before ordering a dozen.
Happy hour beer is $4. I ordered ice tea without looking at the price which ended up being $3.49 when I saw the receipt. Might as well get a beer!
The free house chips were good though. But not sure why we didn’t get the chips on our first visit a week before??
If you are willing to come for their full price oysters, they are good, but were over $3/ea.
Due to the fact they don’t consistently have what’s on their menu (little neck clams) , I wouldn’t be back unless I called to check first.
The food and service are excellent. I've already recommended this place to my parents and other friends.
Went with work friends. It was a bit intimate for work / business. Food was delicious but pricy. Would recommend the mussels and the anchovie and EVOO tin! Our waiter / service was fantastic!
Oysters were absolutely the freshest and mussels were excellent as well! And reasonably priced!
Awesome restaurant! Food was fantastic. Our server (Mackenzie) was outstanding. We left all saying we can’t wait to come back.
We’ve gone here before but today seemed off. Catch of the day didn’t taste fresh and server was brand new and didn’t know much about the menu.
Very nice waitress and good deal on oysters
food awesome - service better! Fish and Chips are as good as I have ever had..
Went for my 12 year anniversary. Service was wonderful!
Came here for my birthday and I had an amazing time! I also came back on a dinner date with my boyfriend and we had a great time as well! Would highly recommend!
Best Happy Hour in Chicago!
Great for happy hour! Had wonderful dollar oysters.
We met friends here for dinner on a Friday night and the seafood, drinks, and service were all amazing! We had a great time and can't wait to return soon. It was a festive, fun atmosphere but also relaxed. The booths are much more comfortable than the high top tables though so I highly recommend reserving one if you can.
Food was great, service was horrible. Waited over 20 minutes before our server showed up to take drink orders. Food took forever to come out and we had to ask for it to go because the wait time made us so late
The place is fun, casual and trendy looking. The service was great, our drinks were good. Food was just okay - not bad, not great. The cold fresh seafood was probably the best - we ordered the oysters and shrimp cocktail and loved those. Prices were high for portion size (which I get that seafood is generally more expensive) so we opted for some warm dishes - fish & chips, a fish sandwich, and steamed mussels. Not terrible, not our favorites though. If I did happen to come back, I'd probably go for the fresh cold seafood options next time.
Fabulous experience. Our waitress Aby was cheerful and enthusiastic and made the dining experience lively.
Menu is too small
Came here with my hubby for brunch. I ordered japanese style pancake and he got crab roll. They are both good. We will come back for dinner in the future.
Abby our server was phenomenal. Food was great, drinks were delicious.
Dessert was outstanding! The variety of homemade ice creams really knocked ours socks off. Friends enjoyed the crab roll. My mussels were OK but not quite the season for them (the shells were very brittle). The smoked whitefish dip was really good, as were the oysters. Would go back to try the other desserts.
