Coku has been the first Robata restaurant in Italy, a new gastronomic benchmark that integrates the Mediterranean and the Japanese traditions in a modern way.
A beautiful location – La Cocumella’s terrace overlooking the sea - welcomes guests to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples at sunset.
The raw materials - rigorously local - are reinvented thanks to techniques and oriental recipes that highlight their valuable and unique quality.
The Robata is a particular kind of grid used in the Japanese Cuisine of the northern areas. The cooking method is one of the most ancient of the Japanese tradition: the heat of the griddle permits a very slow cooking of food, resulting in courses with a delicate taste, which perfectly match the simple yet unique flavors of the Mediterranean.
Please note that Coku is not open every day. It is normally open from June to October, but opening days may vary according to weather conditions.

What an AMAZING experience. The views are unforgettable and service was impeccable. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to the whole team at Coku, they made my girlfriend’s 30th birthday experience memorable.

We knew the night would go well from the moment we were greeted at the entrance. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and throughout the night they were full of humour and jokes. The food was also really nice, we shared the Chicken Teriyaki which we regretted as we were almost fighting over the final skewer😂 we then got the Lamb Chops and the Chicken cooked in honey. Both dishes were full of flavour and really enjoyable. We finished with desert and got the triple chocolate and the cheesecake, a lovely way to wrap up the meal. However the evening was all the more special as the views from the restaurant are immaculate. Try to book a table around the time of sunset, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent restaurant, we definitely recommend. Don’t expect the best meal of your life - that’s not what you’re paying for. You get a stunning view, excellent service, and fantastic drinks (especially the lemon beer!), with food that is tasty, perfectly cooked, and interesting.

The most amazing view I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We watched the sun go down with lovely food and drinks. The service was attentive and fast to begin with but slowed down and we were left for quite some time as they got busier in the night. Didn’t detract from the overall evening though and would go back again.

The best meal I have had in Italy. Beautiful view, the service was incredible, brilliant selection of wines. We had a great night and can highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful night out on the water. Also brilliant for someone who has allergies- my friend felt incredible accommodated and the staff were very understanding.
