Great service and the food was pretty good as well. The dessert was the best part. We asked to sit outside because it was so noisy inside due to a large party. They should do something with the acoustics in the restaurant.
My husband and I were looking for something quaint and elegant with outdoor ambiance. We found it at Coin and Candor. Our waitress, Kaitlin, beautifully explained the menu, answered our questions, and made outstanding recommendations. We sat on the patio with a view of the waterfalls, starting with cocktails and home milled bread before ordering our entree. We highly recommend Coin and Candor for date night. We will definitely bring friends here, the ambience of the waterfalls makes it a very unique dining experience.
This place is beautiful and the food is good just not something to write home about. For such an amazing atmosphere - I was left thinking the food would be off the charts great. With that said we enjoyed our time here. Great restaurant overall all
Service although was friendly enough, was really slow. Entrée served before clearing away salad plates, had to wait for cutlery to eat my steak, waited way to long for another cocktail to be served, etc. as far as the food, it's farm to table which can be a positive at times (not this time!) and I had a $63. Rib Eye that was less than impressive!! Looking around the restaurant you could see that there just wasn't enough serve staff, more managers and hostesses than needed on the floor which didn't make any sense. It's loud but we knew it would be before we even booked the reservation. We may return for a lunch one day because it appeared as though they had great outside seating...but this won't be a go to for a romantic dinner in the future, which is a shame because we love the Four Seasons for just that reason!
Food is good. Not great but good. Husband enjoyed the butter that came with the sourdough bread. Ordered the Snapper. Good not great. Also ordered the skirt steak. That was also good but not great. Drinks are good as well.
Love this place. I actually was a bit disappointed since being Labor Day they only had the brunch menu which I thought they had their all ay menu as well...but it was great. Chicken and Waffle was perfect. Nice place for brunch and from last time...dinner was fantastic. I'll be back.
It was delicious. It’s a very bright & open restaurant. I was there for an early lunch. I had the vegan burger & it was really good. Veggie burgers are hit & miss. I’ll definitely go back for this one. There are many vegetarian & vegan choices. Can’t wait to go back and try the other items on the menu.
Food was good but service was really bad!!!!
Great food, love the renovations
First and foremost, this restaurant, set in the middle of the Four Season Hotel, is extremely loud. There is little that dampens the noise and it is difficult to hear your dining guests... house type music sets the background in rhythmic thumps. A side note, the restaurant in its effort to be hip, seems to clash with the foundations of the buildings brick and the wood panels. The design does not marry well with the rest of the hotel. Most importantly, the food looked amazing but in the end was extremely bland... like you were ascribed a NO sodium, hospital diet. The salad appeared washed but undried with little to no dressing (and I like my dressing barely there) and super watery. The flavors seemed to clash with one another. Even the heirloom tomatoes were disappointing. Overall, the food was disappointing, the service staff was excellent and the environment was jarring. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
We sat outside which is probably a better option than inside. Ambiance outside was nice. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Bread was lovely. Salads (little gem and mistacanza) were very good. Quality of ingredients is evident. Grilled cauliflower with mole was outstanding. My wife had shrimp and grits which she liked but the shrimp were over cooked. I had the red snapper which was also very good but slightly over cooked as well.
To sum it up - we will be back but will either try different entrees or order additional sides
Beautiful setting with options for indoor and outdoor dining. The food was very good with menu featuring many local farms. Friendly service, however, very slow. It took almost one hour to have our dinner request taken.
Great server and presentation. The service was prompt. The wood fire oven made the food delicious. Wonderful view.
The food was excellent! We really enjoyed the Cast Iron pork belly. It melts in your mouth. The red snapper was very tasty as well. But our highlight was the DESSERT! Very technical dishes. The dessert/pastry chef has a station in the restaurant so you can watch your dessert being made. We loved the pistachio souffle. It's like a deconstructed spumoni. SO GOOD. We also loved the pavolova, which is like an ice cream in an ice cream. We will be back again!
The food is amazing. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We loved the ambiance and the service was great.
It’s my go to restaurant in Westlake. Whether it’s lunch, cocktails at the bar, dinner at the bar or main dining room the food, wine list and cocktails are fabulous! Beautiful decor, great music, leather chairs are comfortable and stylish if you don’t sit on the booth side.
Only thing is I wish they made the private room enclosed and more private. It could be such a great room for a larger party.
Went for our 35th anniversary and asked for a table with a view (outdoors or at least by the window) but this was not granted. All we got got was "I'm sorry". Also, no acknowledgement of special occasion ... why even ask
Incredible food, beautiful ambiance, and impeccable service.
It is a beautiful setting. I felt the music was too loud, so it made conversing hard. I also felt they are trying to create a menu that is different, but it didn't translate into great tasting food. Our server was wonderful, as were all the other staff who helped us.
Absolutely slow service
Love this restaurant! Food was amazing!
We had a fantastic meal. Food was eclectic and delicious. Service was spot on. Great wine list as well. The place is open format with a large bar in the middle so somewhat noisy.
Food was great!! Nice place for a business dinner.
We participated in the Dine LA menu. The salads and entrees were great. The desserts were weird and bad. Strawberry foam? What happened to good old fashioned chocolate cake?
Great food, great service. Had the Hamachi Crudo, Watermelon salad, Skirt Steak with Chimichurri, all awesome. Creme Brulee was great. Highly recommended! Will go back soon.
It’s a very pretty restaurant with delicious food. The only downfall for this place is the super slow service. The servers are very nice however it took forever to get a second drink and between courses. I’ve been here 3x now. Still very slow service. Hope the management team will improve on this. Other than that it’s one of the prettiest restaurant in Westlake village
Beautiful view, as from an estate balcony. Unusual, excellent salad, fish, steak. wine was very expensive by glass, but very good.
Very nice hotel restaurant. Hotel level food servers not much experience with the menu and any recommendations but that may change over time. Menu is very good expect small portions so I suggest ordering a few dishes and sharing.
Decor and atmosphere is a 10. If you want bread. You need to pay for it but they don’t tell you that when they ask if you’d like some bread. The cauliflower steak is delicious but the first time they brought it it was charred black which is not supposed to be good for you so I sent it back and then it was cooked brown which was perfect.
The dining room is feels wide open. The summer salads are very fresh. Food is very good, but portions are a little small. The deserts, however, are fabulous.
They ask you if they can bring you bread. But they never tell you that they charge for it. I like the previous menu better before the remodel. The atmosphere is better now with the remodel because you can sit outside on the patio with a view of the waterfall which is wonderful in nice weather.
The food portions seem small. I ordered the salmon and that’s all it was a piece of salmon with a few herbs sprinkle on top and a teaspoon of cauliflower purée that you could barely see. This place is great for atmosphere and just OK for food.
Service was rushed - they brought the entree before we even finished the appetizers. Food was fair. Beautiful room
After reading all the good reviews about Coin and Candor, I’m sorry to say our brunch there was a disappointment. The portions were small (only 1 slice of toast with an omelet - really?) and the service and food were overpriced and mediocre at best. (Oh, did you want butter with your toast???). One of our party had to send back their undercooked chicken. The cost of the meal was much higher than we felt it was worth. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of 2 was because of the lovely atmosphere.
The ambiance and service is amazing. The food was over priced for what we received. We got the meatballs, skirt steak, roasted potatoes and asparagus. Small portions and tasted blan. Coat was 100 for 2of is. The location is beautiful and we overlooked the waterfall and there was a cool party going on so that was fun.
Great view and great food.
Great welcome. Lovely setting outside. Sparse attention, but adequate. Food presentation beautiful. Birthday acknowledgement with yummy chocolate dessert.
Beautiful restaurant. We chose to sit outside because the bar area was very noisy. Beautiful patio but later on in the evening outside was also loud. Excellent service, delicious food especially skirt steak
What an embarrassment for the Four Seasons chain. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. First off. I travel for a living. Stayed at Four Seasons in every part of the world. I live ten minutes from the FSWestlake and go to sushi bar frequently so when they announced a new restaurant I was excited to go. And second. I’ve never written a post like this before. It was that bad that it’s inspired the wrath. We sit down. No food or drinks for 30 minutes. We asked for the same things ten times. Lemons for water. Turn the patio heater on. They finally delivered a salad. But forgot to put the other salad in. The food was fair at best. Then there’s a wedding outside downstairs and rap music starts blaring. They found us a table inside where we carried our own drinks in. There was one miss after another. And to add insult they bring us a full check. Couldn’t even comp a desert for ruining Father’s Day. Poor decor. Poor service. The managers don’t get it. It’s four seasons prices in a Hyatt Place. Not even a Hyatt Regency. Hyatt place. Let’s call this hotel the Three Seasons. They don’t deserve the fourth.
Portions small but so is the price for the quality. Noisy inside but the patio/balcony is perfect and scenic. Attentive and friendly service.
