I am not an SF native, but coming from SFChinatown, the area is a bit sketchy with strip bars nearby. The place was a bit smaller than expected. The tables were quite close together. My girlfriend and I were expecting a more intimate setting. The food was unique, worthy of a Michelin Star or 2. I was not blown away. The service was great.
We enjoyed the dinner. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. The food from the standard chef’s menu was outstanding! If I were to pick out a critique, it would be that since my wife didn’t eat red meat, her substitutions (mostly vegetarian) could have been better. But that’s nit-picking. :)
Keep up the great work at Coi!
Absolutely fantastic and complex flavors.
COI has been on my to try list for a few years now and I'm glad I finally made it. It was AMAZING. All dishes were not only tasty but also prepared with great care and presentation in mind. The staff were friendly, respectful, and personable. They made sure we were comfortable. When we arrived 20 minutes early, they sat us down immediately.
It's really hard to pick one favorite dish... If I had to pick one, it would be the sturgeon. Oh wait.. no, the hazelnut cream with the caviar and hen egg. wait... yeah I can't pick just one favorite. They're all good!
Definitely will come back for a special occasion!
Food and service were amazing and we got a great seat! Will definitely come back. Thank you!
Great exquisite food but service was pushy on trying to get us to purchase expensive beverage add-ons (we were asked 5 times to order drinks during the meal)
If the entire history of gastronomy was wiped from the earth bar the food at Coi, that would be fine with me. A remarkable dining experience.
I am really happy I have a chance to speak a lot with my girlfriend! Thank you!
