   We four birthday celebrating friends really enjoyed our first dinner at Coho. I have already recommended it to others. The food is creative and really delicious and the ambiance is welcoming and attractively comfortable. Enjoyed it a lot!

   Took a long time for our order to be taken and the drinks got mixed up, but the food was great. They seem to be short staffed, like many places. But hopefully they will work out the kinks because the cooking is very good.

   They really helped make our 25th wedding anniversary special. Everyone from the hosts to our server to busboys were great. Our server was amazing! The food was very good, but I think I would have enjoyed the Dungeness crab pasta a little more had it not been so watery and a little too salty. We did LOVE the pirogues and the crudo and the molasses cake was out of this world!!!! The restaurant looks lovely. We loved the design, a modern California farmhouse style. The noise level is high though and we would recommend going early and during the week if you want to be able to have a conversation. We are definitely coming back. It was well worth it to us!

    Delicious food, unique cocktails, fantastic desserts. Presentation was so fun! Service was excellent, and knew the menu well. Was loud when it was all filled up. And that was ok for our needs. Remodel is beautiful. Will go back and would recommend highly Enclose photo of fun interactive salad of pea shoots sill growing!!

    Garlic Noodles with Dungeness Crab!! Done beautifully. I'd go back just for that dish. The staff didn't miss a thing.. I highly recommend Coho in Mill Valley

    Super loud!! Could barely have a conversation with our friends. Food was mediocre at best! No flavor and inconsistent portions. Drinks were also inconsistent and our bubbles sat on the bar after being poured for waiter to bring to us for at least 10 min. Won’t be going back anytime soon!

    Food was inconsistent- a few things were good but more of it was not. The salmon donburi was inedible bc of was so over salted. The crab noodles had zero flavor. Our server was great, and drinks were good. Very pretty interior. But for the price, so not worth it. Hopefully they are just working out the kinks of a new restaurant.

    The music could have been softer. The food was amazing, and the service was stellar! I didn't catch our server's name, but he was a shorter guy, pretty young, very friendly and professional and just loved him!

    We were eager to try Coho as we’ve enjoyed sister restaurant Piazza D’Angelo for many years. It didn’t disappoint! The salad with beets was large enough to share and perfectly dressed. We were happily surprised with the pierogi, as they were filled with one of our favorite cheeses - Nicasio Foggy Morning! Squid was amazing; what looked like noodles in the bowl were finely cut squid. The trout and crab pasta entrees were delicious and plentiful. We’ll definitely be back!

    The restaurant is decorated beautifully!! The service was fantastic!! The noise level was insane. My waiter couldn’t hear our questions. We couldn’t really talk due to the noise. Not a romantic date night. We ordered a lot of food. I would say about half of our food was really good, the other half was just ok. The signature cocktails are premade, but tasty. Would like to see more variations of ingredients, if you don’t like gin your on your own.

    I went 1.5 weeks ago prior and really liked it. Last night was so disappointing. The music was on SO LOUD; my friend and I had to literally yell across the table the entire time. The restaurant would be loud anyway, but the music was full blast. When we left, both of our ears and throats hurt. It took over 30 minutes to initially get water after I requested it, and the Dungeness crab dish I enjoyed so much previously was soupy and disappointing. I live nearby and was so excited to have a new local place, but I won't be back unless they turn DOWN the music.

    We had a lovely dinner at Coho. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We loved eh few shoot salad, the butter bean dip, the rock cod and chili shrimp. Delicious! We will go again.

    Food was outstanding! Shared portions a bit on the small side but everything was delish - kanpachi crudo, squid, salad, pieroge. Crab noodles and petrale sole all good, and we ate all 3 desserts - no complaints! It gets crowded and noisy, so come early if you are sensitive or have older ppl that can’t hear. Decor gorgeous. Service still working out kinks but attentive. Would LOVE if they opened for lunch!! Great to have a new option in MV

    This was our second time dining at Coho. After a wonderful visit the first time, our experience was mixed the second time. The food was great, but it was so loud we could barely have a conversation. Also, the restaurant seemed overextended because the service was notably bad, with 4-5 major slip ups (e.g. taking away cutlery before we were done eating, then putting dirty cutlery back down on the table, bringing us the wrong items, never bringing water). The food is wonderful so we hope Coho can smooth out some of these issues!

    We loved Coho! Every dish we had was delicious, even our 11 and 14 year old loved each one of them. Definitely get the pea shoots, it's yummy and a lot of fun to eat. The staff was really friendly, the atmosphere was wonderful with beautiful design and a great buzz in the restaurant. Highly recommend!

    Short version - love the vibe, food and service were good to very good. It is pricey but not much more so that what other comparable restaurants have gone up to. Nice addition to our Mill Valley scene. Longer version - we had the ahi tuna appetizer and the crab noodles. We shared both. The portion of the tuna was small but fine for a starter. Loved the mix of items and would order it again. The crab noodles were good and very reminiscent of my many trips to Hong Kong. The taste and mix of spices was lovely. For the price, it might have a been a little short on crab and the crab taste didn't really shine through. That said, we really enjoyed the dish and would order it again. We started our meal with a cocktail. We love Pisco Sours and they had Pisco! The bartender made a decent Pisco sour. Not the best we have ever had but good enough. Expensive at nearly $40 for two cocktails, but again not much more than other places in the area. The wine list is nothing special but at least it is fairly priced. The space is beautifully redone. The noise level was perfect BEFORE the place the filled up. Once full, it was a bit loud. Prior to being full, we enjoyed the music (much like Hotel Costes if that means anything to you) and could speak with each other easily across a two top table. We will definitely go back and would recommend giving this spot a try.

    Coho was really nice. The atmosphere was a bit stark for me but my wife loved it. The service was fantastic and the food was inspired and different, but not everything was tasty. In terms of appetizers The squid was amazing, best I have had but the kampachi crudo was too small and just OK. The signature dish (salmon donburi) was ok and an interesting preparation but overcooked honestly not all that. However, the cod was really, really good. Desert menu pretty sparse but the molasses cake was solid. They need more choices. In terms of the ambiance, we came in early and it was perfect, but by the time it we left it was pretty loud. We wish there was a bigger bar area….The service was super and a great experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend, this is the kind of place that Mill Valley desperately needed!

    The pierogi were very good (I can say from personal experience that these are very difficult to make), the crudo was excellent, and the squid salad was an interesting take on the idea. (The pea shoot appetizer we saw at other tables also looked pretty ... unusual!). The chili shrimp didn't live up to the "chili" promise, and the crab noodles were just a bit bland as well.

    Birthday celebration. Got them to place us in a relatively private area. Too much light (a floor lamp) and the music was too loud. Would have been worse with where they originally wanted to seat us. But the food was delicious and unique and the wait staff good.

    Coho's food, service, setting are outstanding. THE coho bowl is creative and a large helping, albeit $36. Black Cod enticing but a small portion. MUST-BUY SOURDOUGH *(as in you must buy or you get no bread) is worth the $7. The noodle bowls look sloppy. Terrific overall and geared to under-60s with bucks. Needs a noise dampener. Loved the water glasses. SKIP THE SPARKLING SAKE.
