Very good food and service in a cool place. However portion size was very very small on appetizers $6.00 for 4 hush puppies and $12.00 for 4 small fired green tomato is a bit much.
Very accommodating staff. Very good food.

We were visiting Savannah and had trouble getting a reservation close to our hotel so we decided to drive a few extra minutes based on good reviews. Our dinner was one of our best ones on our trip! Very eclectic atmosphere, friendly and prompt service and very good food! My husband was in luck to try the soft shell crab, which has a brief season. He had never had crabs that large and enjoyed 2 of them. We liked the fried green tomato appetizer and I enjoyed my crab cakes. It was a hard choice for dessert, but, after a filling meal, we had the trio of desserts which included key lime pie. The tables were spaced apart and we appreciated that.
My husband and I found this gem online and are so glad we stopped! We have been coming to Savannah for many years as it is a special city to us. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and friendly service. The brussels sprouts were a definite do over! We will be back.
Marty is the man; excellent service. Delicious food.
One of the best food I’ve had - don’t pass on the fried chicken
Such an amazing experience! Can’t wait to go back again soon. New favorite local hangout!
Amazing Sunday brunch. Great atmosphere. We will be back!
Spent a week in Georgia and hadn't had a single fried green tomato so we sought out a restaurant to get our fill before heading back to VA. Everything we had was fantastic! Our lunch consisted of the fried green tomatoes, tomato pie, salad with grilled shrimp, fried chicken sandwich, cheeseburger and mac 'n' cheese. Would highly recommend!
Major improvements to Cohen's! Great vibe, happy hour, and tasty food!
Wonderful dinner at Cohens Retreat. I had halibut and he had steak and also the crab soup. Everything was delicious
Live music was annoying! Front door was open allowing bugs to get in.
Great evening. Spot on with service and food, as usual. Great for a casual yet boutique experience.
This restaurant is so beautiful and unique. The food is creative and yet familiar at the same time. I loved my Halibut and my friends enjoyed their shrimp and crab cakes. Our server, Gabby, was prompt, professional and friendly. She helped us with drink an meal selection and was always there when we needed her but didn’t hover. We will go again soon!
Best place we ate on our trip! You have to try the fried green tomatoes. Service was 100% on point. Great place to browse as well. Awesomeness
Cohen's Retreat is not your normal restaurant. It is quirky in terms of the atmosphere, which is really interesting. The Sunday brunch menu was not extensive, but had a pretty good range of selections. Service was fine. The only concern was that despite the fact that there are plenty of different rooms to be seated in, the dining room we were seated in felt crowded - certainly making it difficult to respect six feet distance between different tables. I think people could have been spread to various empty rooms to respect COVID guidelines. Would we go back again? Yes, for special occasions. It is different enough to make any occasion special.
Great cuisine and atmosphere! We went for Sunday Brunch. Our server Marty was awesome! Can’t wait to go back.
I had been to Cohen’s for lunch but this was my husband’s first visit. We both love the quirky decor and atmosphere with such an interesting and artistic history. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Food was delicious 😋 however your service was poor the staff rush is to complete our meal did not offer desert our coffee , we had to ask for everything during our meal service. I will not recommend this restaurant or will I eat hear again.
Really excellent dishes. Good service. Low noise level
Always great food in an interesting building
Disappointed that my CC has (3) pending charges, not sure why they are all the same amount (same as brunch) have not been able to speak with anyone after 3 attempts.
Hopefully (2) will fall off but it did effect my available credit and unacceptable to be ran (3) times.
Best food I’ve ever had at Cohen’s through the years. Happy to see it getting busy there.
Lunch was divine. My friend and I were promptly seated and our servers were at our table immediately. Our server was very knowledgeable about the variety of menu items and made excellent suggestions. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon jam and the crab with grit cakes were excellent first courses which we shared. For the second course, we each ordered the Shrimp Roll and shared sides of fried Brussel sprouts and French fries seasoned with Old Bay Seasoning. Another great choice. The shrimp salad was so fresh and delicious. We completed our lunch with pecan pie with Leopold’s vanilla ice cream. All in all it was a perfect meal! Great food, great service and best of friends. Great day!
New chef is amazing. Great tastes...experiment with something other than the basic omelet, which is great but the other menu items are different spins on southern cuisine.
Fried green tomatoes, great - pimento cheese and bacon jam-amazing. Great fried chicken tenders and biscuit, outstanding lite, yes lite, bacon gravy and the jam....mouthful of amazing tastes.....and all southern bad for you, but perfect size so you don't feel too bad.
Great craft cocktails...best bloody in the area.
Always a treat. Great food and drink and service.
Nice change during pandemic. Food was good . The pour of wine was skimpy for first glass, better for second and best for third. I would say three glasses equaled two normal glasses.
Food and service was excellent. The bar was a bit noisy, but understandable on a Friday night.
Food, atmosphere and our waiter Marty were all great!
We chose Cohen’s for a Valentine’s Day brunch, and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Gabby, was great as well.
The food and service was excellent as always. I was a little concerned with the lack of proper distancing- several tables for two were way too close. We were fortunate to be seated at a table which allowed the proper distance. Despite my concern over the tight quarters, I was glad to see they were busy. Cohen's is a true Savannah treasure.
Dinner at Cohen's Retreat was AMAZING! We are always happy with the food and services there!
Lovely place to enjoy a delicious dinner. Excellent service. We’ll be back!
Such a cool place! Good food and drinks, very friendly staff and dining room is beautiful!
We had a lovely waitress and the food was delicious. The environment was cozy!
We had a great dinner at Cohen's treat Saturday night. It was quiet as the dining room did not have the pre-pandemic buzz. The menu is balanced and it's possible to order something light if one chooses. We thoroughly enjoyed the wings, baby salads. Mu husband ordered a special-- smoked fired chicken, and I ordered the crab fried rice. Both were delicious. The chef is talented and flexible and the service was outstanding. Thank you!
My favorite is their Brussels sprouts. I had the smash burger and it was delicious. Great lunch/brunch spot for a girls afternoon.
We love Cohen's Retreat for its decor and ambiance, however it is quite pricey for the level of service rendered.
