    Our experience was less than satisfactory. Even though Open Table showed available reservations and we successfully booked one, the restaurant seemed overbooked and couldn't immediately accommodate us. It's perplexing why Open Table would confirm our booking if the restaurant was at full capacity. After an extended wait outside, we were finally allowed inside, only to be directed to the bar instead of a table. Surprisingly, they only had two bar stools for the three of us. However, as a gesture, they did offer us a complimentary shot for the inconvenience.

    Top Notch! If you're looking for a place that is a bee's knees then this is the place! I came here for my birthday because I was doing a 20s theme get together and it felt like going into a 20s speakeasy, right down to Secret door. The food and drinks were wonderful and the staff was awesome and attentive but not overbearing. I'm already planning a return trip soon!

    Code Red — especially Nick — made my husband and I feel at home on date night before Moulin Rouge. Pairing the two is sensational — reserve your booth now and let Code Red transport you back in time to the prohibition era. Show up and Code Red will do the rest.

    If you want to have dinner and drinks in one of the most unique places in DC, it's a CODE RED. The menu/food is beyond what you would expect before ordering and tasting it. Veg/Vegan are welcome.

    Great date night experience, I’ve been wanting to check this place out and no surprise that it was a great first time . The drinks were good, the music selection from the dj was awesome and the ambiance very lovely, the servers were very very friendly and attentive. I will share my experience with friends and I will be coming back . Thanks

    Code Red is a great change of pace in Adams Morgan. As a speakeasy / lounge, the interior decor is warm and welcoming with great lighting and music. Food was outstanding, had the octopus, scallops, and the tuna tartare. Cocktails were really good, and the owner stopped by a few times to check on us and introduce himself. Amazing hospitality, food, and drink, cannot wait to be back!
