C.O.D. Seafood & Raw Bar
Located on West 3rd Street near the Beverly Center, C.O.D is a modern seafood brasserie offering Asian-inspired Californian cuisine. Influenced by both the great fishing villages of China and our own Californian coast, C.O.D crafts the best of these worlds together on a plate. C.O.D also features two full-sized bars, an extensive wine collection and hand-crafted cocktails.
C.O.D stands for “Catch of the Day” and describes our restaurant’s dedication to serving only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available on the market. Our fish is never frozen. Seafood is the focus at C.O.D, but everything else―from the microgreens to pork belly―is also presented at the peak of freshness.

Manila clam, bacon, potato, light and creamy.
Snow crab, avocado, little gem lettuce, yuzu ranch, pickled shallots and citrus.
So very impressed with the food and service at this restaurant. Especially loved the uni pasta! Lovely ambience too.
Food was outstanding and well worth the experience.
I love seafood and the seafood was very fresh and reasonably priced. The location was almost empty when me and my girlfriend arrived for our reservations at 7:15. By 7:45 the place was packed with a very diverse crowd.
I will be returning and I give a thumbs up on this restaurant!!
Went for Valentine’s Day for the 3 course meal and it was superb! A def must for anyone celebrating any occasion, food and service were both fantastic!
The service is fast the food is good the servers are all right just seems that the servers are really busy running around and getting orders the cooks also come out to help serve the food I do like the fact that they do not push the extra 4% service charge on the customers and the freshness of the scallop and Ernie is amazing and the portions can be a bit small but overall we were very satisfied
Very fresh seafood, especially their oysters! The Uni served is not as good as before. Serving was slow during the holiday.
Top notch across the board
This was our third time at COD. First time a couple of years ago we all loved it. This time the food was over salted. I
It was brought out without rhyme or reason. My mom’s drink arrived practically at end of meal and the cosmo was made with an unidentifiable juice.
This place had real potential and the owner/chef should make sure that his vision is properly executed.
We ordered a number of appetizers and entrees to share and they were all delicious. The only negative was the service. The waitress attempted to take too many plates off our table. I was watching her wondering why she was attempting to do so with one hand. Lo and behold, one of the chopsticks came flying off a plate, smearing sauce on my pants. Then at the end of the evening as we were making last conversation before leaving, I looked to grab my drink which the waitress promptly took away. In the meantime, I had a half bottle left in a champagne bucket which I couldn't drink because she took my cup. At that point, I didn't want to ask her for another cup with lime so we just left. Food was great. Service not so.
Great food. The waitress was fun. But management needs to do a better job with staffing and ensuring people get sat right away and served. Was frustrated multiple times and this isn't the first time feeling that way.
Server was a no show and manager handled everything great even though she was short staffed
Waitresses first night poor woman no training whatsoever. Food disgusting absolutely horrid.wine list out completely had to finally ask ...what do you have to serve us
The whole experience was really not goo
The seafood tower was overpriced for the food we got.
My only comment was our server kept coming back to the table every few minutes. We felt like he wanted the table but the restaurant was not full . I hate that!
When we arrived they did not have my reservation, which wasn’t a big deal because there were hardly any people in the restaurant. I was celebrating an out of town guests birthday and wanted to surprise her, so when I mentioned to the hostess she said they don’t do anything for birthdays. Again, not a big deal, just disheartening because had they seen the note earlier perhaps they could’ve contacted me to let me know.
The service itself was terrible, likely due to what appeared to be a short staffed restaurant. The music was connected to an iPhone and the phone had two incoming calls the entire restaurant heard the timing. We I tended to eat dinner there but the apps took too long that we didn’t have time for it.
To end the experience, a party of 3 came in as we were finishing up our wine and apps and were fighting with each other the entire time. The tables are very close to each other and made our experience that much worse. While it wasn’t the servers fault, I would’ve expected that management would’ve handled the situation, especially for the overpriced experience.
Music needs to be lower. Had to ask twice. They were great about it but loud music is not a good idea in a restaurant.
The Happy Hour is always a win.
Uni pasta with truffles was excellent. Would definitely try again. I suspect the prices in the area reflected the neighborhood.
Uni pasta is bomb.
We came COD for DineLA week and left feeling robbed and extremely disappointed. The food was disgusting and extremely overpriced for tiny portions. The restaurant was dirty- floor was sticky and the tables and benches had remnants of dried up food crumbs on them. Our plates had dirt/dust all over them.
The food came out of order (main entree before appetizers). The spinach on my Chilean sea bass entree was partially uncooked and extremely salty. The sea bass was fine. The grilled octopus appetizer was over boiled and mushy. Such a disappointment. We won’t be going back again.
Always delicious and fresh! I have dined here many times and take locals or friends visiting and they always have a great experience.
We didn’t stay for dinner. After being seated at our table we were ignored. After looking around it was clear they were severely understaffed. We got up and left. Room was in Chaos.
I used to like COD but this visit was a disaster. Noticed a faint odor as I was sitting down and had to send back the oysters which had a really bad aftertaste. The quality was mixed and lower than my experiences before. Finally noticed health grade was B on the way out. Not a good sign for a raw seafood place. Never going back again.
Food and service were both great! Friendly and accommodating staff.
Great Fresh seafood
I used to love this place! Not anymore.... service is slow and they were understaffed!
But mainly it’s a food.... it’s not as fresh seafood as it used to be. And now they have a “B” size on a door
Uni pasta was as good as always, so as scallops... the rest of the food was ok, and their Uni dish is half a size of what it used to be for the same price.
The oysters and salmon did not taste fresh. We ordered a bottle of wine, which tastes spoiled. The waitress was never around so we could not make and comments to her.
Outstanding service. Wonderful food. Fun place.
The best place in LA
Understaffed on a Monday evening and they were out of a number of popular menu items. The server said that it was busy the day before for Mother's Day. Hmmmm...ok. Jidori chicken was underwhelming and I'd never order it again; everything else was good. Oysters were very expensive
Our Mother’s day dinner is really good. It was not too busy. Food is amazing! We ordered Branzino, Oyster, seafood fried rice and pudding for dessert! The Branzino was really good! You can really taste the flavor of it. Ambiance is nice, alil tight because the main floor was alil small and tight. The price is okay. Overall, It was a good experience.
The waitress took over 15 min to get our bill
Server was awesome. Food was great. Would come back here again.
Really amazing. Our server was fantastic!
I'd been to the restaurant several times, once was a dinner with very few others in the dining room. This Saturday night the place was packed. And, they were understaffed. Our waiter was as attentive as he could be, but then again never asked how were things when we had our mouths full or empty. I started with clam chowder, which my father and grandmother would have sent back for not being hot enough. It was at the lowest range of what I consider acceptable in terms of temperature. My seabass, however, was sent back because it was not at all hot enough. And when it reappeared, it remained not hot enough. Good flavor would have been terrific flavor if it was hot. The restaurant made up for it on the bill. My companion had two dishes that were both supposed to be served cold, and they were. She said they were terrific.
We had 7 people not 2!
The place was closed despite having an 11:15 reservation spot. Took an Uber Costing $40 for nothing.
So bad service: they forgot to answer my question, they missed some —not only one, some!— orders, they charge wrong items, they served us main dish first, then, appetizer was coming to us, and we needed to wait more than 30 min for a small dish which I was ordered first of all. Also, their happy-hour oysters are so small, skinny and no taste.
We love / loved this place, little worried.
I was surprised at how under staffed they were. Our bartender, great guy had to also double as our waiter. He was spread too thinly. The oysters were not fresh.
Maybe just an off night, my hope is next time will be better.
The food was great but the service was non-existent. We were seated before happy hour ended 6:45pm but couldn’t order until 7:10pm even though we’re we ready to order when we were seated. The waitress said the kitchen would decide if they would honor happy hour prices - they did not. We didn’t see the waitress for 34 more minutes.
