Cocotte is a fine restaurant. Very few dishes to choose from, which definitely makes ordering an easy task. The boeuf was delicious, the pork shoulder was tasty as well.
Fantastic food and service. Best food we’ve had on this vacation. Actually considering going back before we leave. My wife had the pork shoulder and I had the hangar steak. Both were incredible!
I think overall Cocotte was good. The charcuterie was tasty, but overly priced for the amount of food. Additionally, the pork that my husband was good. My fish was terrible. It was rubbery and had raw garlic on it. Very unsatisfying. I think overall the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I think the prices are extreme for the amount of food.
Great food! Great service!
Great spot, good food and great value.
Primarily a wine bar with a modest food menu. It's kind of like tapas, but what is made is absolutely superb. Sign outside says happy hour till 6, but happy hour prices apply only to the few bar seats.
food was great...service was great.....great vibe..i had the chicken,,amazing and the fish special was terrific
Birthday celebration brunch.
This restaurant is amazing. Very quaint and has amazing service. Food was exceptional and I will definitely be back.
One of my favorite place for brunch in Soho: great food and lovely atmosphere!
I love the European vibe and service is excellent
Amazing experience. Wonderful staff. Phenomenal food. Try the mussels and the boeuf. Incredible.
Great Soho neighborhood restaurant with a lot of charm. Food was excellent - had the Poulet and Hangar steaks to share. Plenty of food for 2 and paired very nicely with a Bordeaux wine. Definitely need to make reservations as it is a very small establishment.
Excellent all around.
A very exquisite French bistro. Loved it.
Prototypical small SOHO space. Very lively, a little tight but not bad, excellent service and inventive recipes. Well portioned and presented. Would definitely go again.
Very nice experience🔝Food was super, service super. Go there!
The wait staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the food is delicious without being fussy. We had the fish special with hake, which is not widely served--but it was tender and plentifully prepared.
Always a great experience. We love the menu, ambience, and staff. Truly a favorite, as we’ve been there numerous times. Highly recommended.
Outstanding all around!
Starting with the good: food, vibe, & ambience were all excellent. The chicken, the mussels, the salade, & hangar steak were all standouts, as was the bourbon sour.
Now the bad: I’m so glad we waited it out over cocktails even though we started looking for another restaurant as we were getting hangry. Our reservation was for 8pm and we didn’t get seated until 8:42!!! So - beware because other people near us had a similar problem. If you have the time to wait around, go because the food is outstanding.
Charming gem in Soho! Warm, rustic, cozy atmosphere/vibe, friendly service, & delicious cuisine from the Basque region! Great fresh spring vegetable salad, delicious txipirones (baby squid in squid ink), super tender fish-of-the-day (hake) a la plancha served in flavorful red pepper sauce, & a great fresh side of Brussels sprouts! Good cocktails, wines a bit overpriced/marked-up.
friendly people and waiters, authentic and creative food, culinary innovation, amazing ambiance — Cocotte hits every spot! the waiters and chefs are actually from France and so friendly and accommodative. For the amazing food, the prices are not too expensive as well (especially by new york standards). The favorite part of my meal was the special creme brûlée foie gras, which was an innovative sweet-and-salty-fusion take on traditional creme brûlée (it was an appetizer) — culinary innovation and creativity at its best!
Overall an amazing experience :)
Food and service were wonderful.
The prices in the website did not match the actual menu prices... the latter were higher.
Lovely, small space with friendly and attentive staff. Great all-around destination, but if brunch is your thing, go here for a less chaotic experience.
This restaurant is a small cozy space offering Basque influenced dishes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious and fairly priced. As well, the wine list offered some exceptional wines at a fair price. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, friendly service, specials a must have. Try their jalapeño gin martinis (not on the “drink menu”, but a specialty. Amazing. Everything comfort real home-style delicious French with excellent preparations. Standard menu seems basic but their specials with imported ingredients from the Basque region are by far the standouts. Reasonable prices to boot! Definite recommendation from a foodie who usually frequents the Michelin establishments.
Always consistent and delicious. Incredible service
Get the BEC! excellent.
Wonderful brunch !! Very French , the food , the waiters and most of the clientele . Small , welcoming atmosphere.
Great little restaurant, been two times and loves both dinners. Very attentive service
An impeccable dining experience from start to finish. This quaint underground restaurant offers exceptional service from the moment you walk in, to the time you leave. It feels like you’re walking into a family restaurant where the ambience is welcoming and the vibe is relaxing.
The food though is the real winner. Understated french at its finest, the menu is tight but well thought out. Best done by sharing and tasting everything, until you get to dessert where you’ll definitely want one for yourself. Try the crème montée and thé tarte au chocolat. You won’t be disappointed!
Fantastic restaurant. The food is very well prepared. The wine is excellent. Excellent place for dates, family. It’ is small but cozy and feels very personal I would definitely come again!!!
We were pleasantly surprised. Great service from all the servers in the restaurant. All the food were great. Wished there were more choices on the dessert.
Simply perfect in all respects
We voelden ons welkom en hebben in alle rust gezellig en heerlijk gegeten.
Some people may not agree with me on this, but the only thing that really bothered me, was some guy less than a yardstick away from me wearing a sports team tank top. Due to the tight seating, I was forced to eat staring at his creepy, hairy armpits. The next time I go back to Coccote, I'll be sure to bring blinders.
Love, love, love Cocotte! Warm, friendly and like dining at home - a home with a terrific chef!
Great little restaurant in the Village. Fab food. Outstanding service. Gem of a restaurant with a quiet, intimate, vibe. First time at Cocotte and we will definitely be back for more delicious and mindfully prepared food! Highly recommend!
Cocotte is a charming place and space. Be prepared for your table to be close to neighbors but somehow you can keep conversations private. The noise level did however elevate during the 2 hours we were there. The menu is limited but there seems plenty to order from as everything is appealing. Friday night is no double a busy evening but while the service was cheerful and professional, we did have to flag down a server for drinks. The wine list is extensive and good but could have more lower range options as that is where the bill goes up. The pours are also on the modest size for the price of wine by the glass. Everyone enjoyed what we ordered. The only disappointment was the $20 asparagus appetizer—only two or three white asparagus stalks with a minced topping that seemed identical to that in the stuffed mushrooms we ordered with it. All the diners around us seemed very happy with their meals and shared their enthusiasm. This is a great place to eat.
