An amazing dinner, felt back like in France . Amazing food, really amazing and affordable. When i say amazing, I talk about the quality of the product and the way they are cook as it's not that easy to find in New York.
Staff is all French but so nice, take such a good care of you and make sure everything is going well.
Living is USA for 20 years and in NYC for 5 years I am really impress. We will be back and recommand your place
This cozy gem of a restaurant is small without feeling crowded. The service was friendly and attentive, both tableside and at the bar. Every dish was rich and flavorful without being heavy or making one feel like arteries might be clogging or pounds being gained. Chocolate lovers: the chocolate tart dessert is a must! Our overall dining experience was delightful, and we'll soon be back.
This was my second time coming here for breakfast, and while the food is always fantastic, the waitstaff and host (front door gentleman) are always so personable, friendly and really make me want to return. He even convinced me that I’m missing out until I’ve had the dinner there, so I’ve already booked my return for dinner!

Great from start to finish. We were early for our reservation and the host kept us posted by the minute when our table would be ready. The restaurant is tiny, but we didn't feel cramped at our table. All of the food was delicious, especially the appetizer specials and the charcuterie plates which were great for sharing. Main courses were presented beautifully, the pork was amazing and the fish special was great. The lemon tart was one of the best, and definitely order the pain perdu if they have it. Will absolutely visit again. Highly recommended!
The food here is amazing and the service is perfect. But overall this is a very special experience. Every time we’re going there we have some very unique dishes-txipirones, pipperade,chicken crapudin- not sure if you can find something similar in nyc. We’ll be back soon!
Perfect spot for our late dinner after plane trip from CA. Delicious mussels prepared as though they were escargot, with butter, bread crumbs, garlic. The special was pheasant with wild mushrooms. It was gorgeous, served on a slice of grilled bread. Nice wine selection. NOISY! but fun.
I happened to see this restaurant listed when searching for an anniversary spot, and we were beyond pleasantly surprised on how great the overall experience was for our dinner! The food was very, very good. And, the reasonable prices added to the rareness of this gem of a small restaurant.
Such a great experience! And their specials were to die for. I had the bay scallops then the basque piperade and the pheasant toast which is apparently inspired by the chefs grandmother. Let me tell you I’m normally not an adventurous diner but this pheasant on a toast might have been the best thing I’ve ever had my I entier life. Finished off with the chocolate tart.... We’ll definitely be back!!!!
Only reason I would go back is the food. Made a reservation far in advance only to be seated at a bar on communal high top with another group, even though there was no one seated in the dining room. When they left, we had to get up for the other group to exit the restaurant, as we were seated so close to the door that the handle hit our table every time it opened. We were helped by three different people, no one with a care in the world as to how we were enjoying ourselves. We were then asked to move to another table half way through our main course because they needed to seat a larger group. It was clear that our server only paid attention to the larger groups that were buying full bottles of wine and ordering larger amounts of food. While food got taken the second it was gone, we had to ask for the check after quite some time. We handed out waitress our coat check tab and she never came back with our coats. We then had to ask someone else as she didn’t remember the ticket number. Food was great. Service not so good. Also. It is VERY small. Plan accordingly.
I never write reviews like this. But living in New York, you don’t expect to have every item ordered be so poorly prepared and of such poor quality. The button mushroom appetizer were shriveled, over cooked, tasteless. The chopped octopus swam in a greasy, garlic sauce of an origin I’ve never tasted before and hope I never will again. The undercooked and ill-seasoned pheasant was shredded and topped on tiny toast that were so hard, the whole thing was inedible. And in the case of the lentils, they were actually spoiled! A taste you know immediately and after several bites, and asking my friend if she thinks the same, we worried we might be sick the next day. This is inexcusable for a SoHo restaurant. It makes me wonder how they got any good reviews in the past.
Basque-influenced French - charming decor, attentive staff, and superior food. We had, respectively, the filet mignon truffle butter, and the Basque pork. Both were outstanding. The filet in particular was so tender, perfectly cooked to my requested medium-well, that it truly did melt in the mouth. The chocolate tarte was the perfect dessert. Highly recommended.
Very nice dîner on a Friday night, the restaurant was busy, wich is nice as it give a great ambiance for a Friday.
We came on a date and we're so happy from both the food and the service.
The food is really nice and easy to share.
The service is very friendly, attentive and you don't wait 10 hours to get what you expect.
They don't rush you at all and let you the time to enjoy the delicious wine you order or the food you are eating.

I think they must have been short staffed the night we went. Service was slow. Not only for ourselves but I noticed the same for people around us
It is a very cozy space with nice ambience but the noise made it hard to be on a romantic date

Nice French Bistro with a twist. I would recommend to anyone seeking a casual yet well prepared meal. Menu, though limited, offers more than typical bistro fare by adding seasonal items as well as a splash of Basque cuisine. Dishes were well prepared and not overly fussy. That can be a good thing in these days of "fennel pollen". Pork shoulder was tasty and tender but a bit salty. Beef was perfectly cooked and tender. Salads and charcuterie well done too. Service was friendly but we felt a bit rushed. Timing between courses was swift - a little too swift like they were trying hard to get us out the door to turn the table.
