COCOTTE DINING is the creation of Japanese-born chef, Shunichi Tanabe who has made the Gold Coast home for many years and opened this restaurant in late 2011. We are located at a small shopping village in Robina, Gold Coast with cozy and relaxed atmosphere, a garden terrace, and a friendly service. We provide a Unique harmonised Japanese and French cuisine that has been created by an idea from Shunichi's experience in Australia and Japan for over 25 years, most of our food are prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients everyday. Our motto is "providing little happiness, pleasure and enjoyment in your life." We hope to add just a little extra happiness to your life and that could be a vitality for your life.

7 course degustation was fantastic. Beautifully presented and was a great fusion of Japanese and French ingredients and techniques. Highlight for me was the steak and the green tea dessert with mascarpone ice cream and poached pear to finish off. Lovely dim lit ambience with soft jazz playing in the background. Attentive and polite wait staff. Definitely recommended for a date night or if you feel like something extraordinary.

We really enjoyed the food but the service was poor. However when I saw the chef painstakingly putting the finishing touches to each plate I could understand why it was slow. Our major complaint is the menu. When looking online there are various different menus. The menus displayed outside are different to those online. However the menu inside the restaurant is different again! As there is only a choice of four main courses, some of which we had no prior knowledge of until actually sitting down to eat, I was very disappointed that meals I would have liked to have ordered were not available.

The food was a delicious fusion of Japanese and French. With 5 course tasting menu well timed and not rushed. They made me feel very special for my birthday.

Easily the best dining experience I've had on the Gold Coast. The food was sensational! Incredible attention to detail in all aspects, and beautiful service. A true hidden gem that exceeded all expectations. Outstanding.
