We had a reservation for 7:15 but ended up waiting a bit. It was prom night and there were several single cash out transactions. The waiter was so apologetic once we got seated. He got our drinks promptly and gave us 2 free appetizers since we had been waiting so long past our reservation. Very friendly staff. If something was wrong they were sure to make it right! I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family and anyone looking for an elegant night out.
Great food. My wife and myself tried each others food and we were both delighted. Very fresh! Only thing was price was a bit high but food was good and special occasion for us so worth it.
Food came quick and hot. Recommended.
Everything was excellent except the service was very slow. We (a party of three) arrived for lunch and placed our order nearly right away. It took nearly thirty minutes for us to receive our food. I very much enjoy Coco's, but slow service at lunch is frustrating. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious.
The food and the service were both wonderful! We met my sister and her husband who drove up from Cincinnati and enjoyed a drink at the bar before we were seated at our table, which was ready at the time of our reservation. The ambience is terrific and it is great to see Coco's thriving in the Dayton dining scene!
I’ve had plenty of enjoyable experiences at Coco’s and I do plan to go back to the restaurant. However, the service was a little under par. Our waiter was slow to respond and would walk past us without asking if we needed anything... when we clearly did. Otherwise the food was great and we will give it another try.
I loved the atmosphere. The food was tasty. The staff were courteous and professional.
On the Saturday night that we were there I sensed a nice energy in the building.
We had an awesome waiter, I think his name was Jason. We talked about wines and music. He knew the menu and wine selection and never stopped a beat as the place became full. The food was divine. Wine was good. Definitely will return.
THE WIFE ORDERED A FILET COOKED MEDIUM. IT CAME OUT VERY RARE. IT WAS A WHILE BEFORE THE SERVER CAME BACK TO CHECK ON US, SO THE WIFE JUST ATE AROUND THE EDGES OF THE STEAK AND WE TOOK THE REST HOME TO RECOOK AND EAT. THE MACRONI WAS GOOD BUT THE CARROTS WERE HARD. I ORDERED THE DUCK. THE MUSTARD SAUCE WAS GOOD AND THE RISSOTO WAS FINE. BUT THE DUCK WAS VERY UNDERCOOKED, EXTREMELY FATTY, AND TOUGH. AGAIN SINCE THE SERVER DIDN'T COME AROUND TOO SOON, I ATE WHAT I COULD AND TOOK THE REST HOME TO RECOOK AND EAT.
Semi-perfect as always! On this particular occasion, the waiter went out of his way to accommodate and entertain my 6-year old granddaughter.
Overall great food and wonderful service. The food is somewhat overpriced.
There for Easter brunch...my daughter and I were ignored most of the time we were there. It was never really clear who our server was. It was busy, but not crazy for a holiday. Set brunch menu was uninspired and very limited. I’ve had some wonderful meals at Coco Bistro, but this wasn’t one of them. Very disappointing.
Paid $22 for a mediocre frittata , overpriced and everything was very sweet. Had dinner there before and was fine but a special Easter menu was waay overpriced.
This was a great place for Easter Brunch. It was quiet and elegant but still very inviting. The entire experience was quite pleasurable. I am gluten free and allergic to cinnamon and they accommodated both very well.
The food was excellent. We will definitely eat there again.
It is a lovely place for fairly simple food that has interesting twists - My beef tenderloin, cooked perfectly at medium rare, had a nice kick to its sauce , but not to the point it overwhelmed the beef. And a huge plus for me: you can actually hear each other talk at this restaurant. Elegant without being stuffy
Worth the trip
Excellent service made it fun and felt like home
Coco's Bistro is excellent. The food and service were superb. Best we have had in Dayton. It is more of a fine dining restaurant than a bistro.
I have been to Coco's before but this time I was very disappointed going there for lunch. We wanted to go and celebrate a promotion. Based on this experience I feel like I was cheated. The food portions are very small for the inflated price. The best thing I had was the salad and that was lettuce with dressing.
As always, the food at coco’s is amazing.
Wonderful menu choices, ample portions and great ambiance.
Coco's Bistro is always a wonderful place to dine. Their menu has good variety and very unique dishes. The staff is kind and attentive and caring. This has become our favorite restaurant in Dayton.
Excellent service and food!
My husband and I went here before a show at the Schuster. I read the reviews and it was mixed. Some people loved it and some got bad service. We had a good experience. Food was delicious and brought out quickly. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We went at 6:00 so it was not busy yet but there was still plenty of people in the restaurant and got busier as the evening went on. It didn’t feel crowded or loud. Overall we had a good experience and we would go back again.
I have eaten at Coco's many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food and drinks are superb and the service is exceptional.
Just have not been impressed with the lackluster wait service, and strongly feel that while the food is fairly good (though the lobster fritters ar mostly fried dough) I think it’s overpriced for the portions compared to other quality restaurants in the area. We’ve decided this is a “gift card only” location for us.
We had a great meal at Coco's. Staff were crazy busy but attentive. They obviously care about the client and take pride in their food quality anld presentation.
We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Our waiter gave us the appropriate amount of space and attention, and our meals were delicious. Our lunch business meeting could not have been better!
The bartender made a delicious “mocktail”
The service was very attentive and aware of the theatre and ballet guests.
As always Coco's offers top shelf: food, drinks, and service in an atmosphere that is pleasant and easy to enjoy. The food from appetizers to dessert is always very good. Our server, Jason, takes special care of his guests. Thanks to Karen and all her staff for a wonderful evening.
Great pre-show meal - I had the trout and it was AMAZING, my friend had the spinach salad and it was good also. Fantastic server!! She was very considerate of our needing to get out in time to see our show. A+
We eat here a lot. I would love to give them a better review but they’re inconsistent. At times, awesome. But the inconsistency keeps us from wanting to take the risk. Food was great this time. Service was acceptable to a little below acceptable. Very friendly though. Has the potential to be one of the best in dayton.
Absolutely delicious meal. I had the trout and it was cooked to perfection. The signature cocktail was good, but a little pricey at $11. Service was not too good for a restaurant of this quality. The dining room was busy, so I know the waitress was overwhelmed. She only stopped by once during our dinner and we had to ask for coffee, and then flag her down again for the dessert menu. Overall, a good experience, but better service would have made it a home run.
First time at Coco's, it was wonderful! We ordered the pork chop and filet and they were both delicious! The bread was super yummy, as was the Gouda Mac side. Great service as well.
I like what they are trying to do in the area. They are close to the university and you get quite the mix of people. Half of the Building is the restaurant with nice patios and the other half is the bar which is fantastic.
They actually have real bartenders that can craft nice cocktails over in the bar. Overall it’s a cool place. I think they can improve the ambience little bit more by dimming the lights and possibly adding more unique lighting elements. Other than that the staff is fantastic and friendly and the parking is pretty good for a place that can hold a lot of people. I highly recommend Coco’s
Very good experience
Went to a brunch for Stivers. Student music magnificent. Food wonderful. Do good. Eat well.
We attended a special Sunday brunch at Coco's which was a fund raiser for Stivers high school performing arts students. The brunch was delicious and the student string ensemble who played was very uplifting. The addition of a raffle for student multi media art objects was a great addition. so glad we could attend this fundraiser for a superb inner city high school
Dropped in on a whim on a Friday evening.. promptly seated and Coco's veteran server Steven was as good as ever that evening.. Best item on the menu is their Honey Hummus appetizer. Following that with 2 salads and we were good to go.. Wine + app + salads + tip = $78.
