Jason is the best server! Food was good too.
My Girlfriend and I went to CoCo's to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day dinner. I would recommend making a reservation, the place was packed! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of it. Before ordering he took the time to check with the kitchen how many specials were left for the night (one was remaining, the table next to us ordered it and it looked fantastic!) Our server also had a good deal of knowledge about their wine list and was able to recommend a nice blend to go with my entree.
We started the meal with cocktails, which were fantastic. Afterwards, we ordered the fried Brie appetizer. It was as decadent as it sounds, and the bruchetta topping was the real star of the dish.
Be sure to enjoy the butter that comes with the bread: it is made in house and had a great subtle sweetness.
For entrees, my girlfriend ordered the filet and I ordered the duck. The duck was cooked to medium rare and was served alongside a roasted poblano risotto, which was perfectly seasoned and had a deep chile pepper flavor. The filet was a magnificent 3" cut of beef, cooked perfectly by the kitchen.
We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much, we will definitely be back and recommend CoCo's to anyone looking for a great meal in Dayton!
My daughter and I go to the restaurant to have dinner prior to our Schuster Broadway Series. We have done this frequently. The last four times we have found the food just OK. Prior to this I have raved and recommended to others. I was very disappoint with the filet ordered and the salad. The wind was fine. The service adequate but the server appeared rushed and hurried. I'm going to wait awhile before I return and If nothing has changed I will not be back.
Coco’s delivers again. Wanted a special place for dinner before the theatre, and they were a great choice. Food was outstanding and ambiance was just what we were looking for.
We went for Valentines Day because we love to try new places. The food was very good, Adam was our waiter and he was very attentive. I was disappointed that they had run out of Trout, the main seafood entree. Our reservation was at 6:45 so it was not late in the evening. Being a pretty big holiday dining night, I would have thought they would have been more prepared to serve one of the main courses for the entire evening. I ordered something else sort of off the cuff and it was very good but not what I was looking forward to for dinner. The lobster cakes and my signature drink were excellent and we will dine there again.
Coco's is my go to place for showing out of town folks that Dayton does have good cuisine options. I'm never disappointed here. Thank you!
Wife and I went there for Valentine's Day dinner. First time there. You don't have to make reservations, but luckily I did. Otherwise, we definitely wouldn't have gotten in for dinner that evening. Probably don't need reservations for lunch time meals or slower evenings, but definitely need reservations on special occasion evenings like Valentine's Day. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service. Steve waited on us and did a fantastic job! All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Cost-wise it's a little more than we would normally spend on a meal; thus, a great place for a special occasion like a birthday or any other celebratory event. We had a great evening and I'm sure we'll return there again in the future. :-)
Great place for dates—special occasions—always tasty—great service
The food was tasted but I had the eggplant and think the portion was a little small. It took a long time to get our food and longer to get our checks.
Wonderful meal and service. I would recommend the Brie appetizer it was amazing!
Seated promptly at a two-top window table. Hot bread & side salads served before our main course. Both were delicious. We selected wines for our dinner from an expansive wine menu.
I ordered the Cider Lacquered Duck w/roasted problano risotto and fried apples. Delicious! Even though the restaurant was crowded, the atmosphere remained pleasant and we could enjoy table talk without raising our voices throughout our dinner.
We ended our dinner with fresh coffee and an evil Walnut Ball for two with vanilla bean ice cream, French burnt walnuts & hot fudge. (Not for the weak at heart).
We loved that our dinner servings were served in a "European manner" and we could enjoy each serving without feeling rushed and talk to each other pleasantly without background noise.
Very enjoyable experience.
Visiting Dayton from Arizona and stop at Coco's for a quick dinner. The service was great and food was fabulous. It was a great experience.
On this occasion we were there for a fund raising brunch. However I have frequented the restaurant several times fro lunch and dinner and have always had a great meal.
Always seem to have a great meal at Coco’s. Highly recommended.
Excellent but there was a cold draft. Only negative, food and service was excellent. We really enjoyed Coco's and plan to go back soon.
First time in about a year. Limited menu offerings. Quality down. Service so-so. There are too many other great restaurants in the area. Moving on.
Jason our server was awesome very attentive and knowledge about the menu. We had children with us, that seems to put some servers out. Not Jason he asked them questions and included them in the experience. The food was very good and the wait was minimal.
Good food, good service, good value. Portions are very generous. Good for business lunch.
Took a co-worker to lunch to discuss upcoming events. It was the perfect setting and having arrived a little early, we were seated by the window. The nice thing is their tables for two are not the usual small tables, but the size of a four-top. Tend to order the same things for lunch every time I go there...but I’m able to put my own twist on my order. Coco’s is always a go to for me...the food is consistently good.
Reataurant week was great! Thanks for hosting!
