It’s a really nice place for a casual dinner with friends and family. I’m really happy for the experience. Thank you!
I so enjoy the setting of this restaurant with its very high ceilings and blue velvet drapes and sound barriers. The setting fits the exquisite nature of the food. The specials should not be missed. They are a treasure of delicacy and delight. A leisurely paced meal where one can talk and reflect upon the resumption of life in our city and the beauty of being waited on by knowledgeable and caring staff.
I love the restaurant, but thought the fish in my seafood stew was not fresh. The kitchen reported back that it was, but I don't believe them. Appetizers and salad were worthy as was the steak entree. Otherwise, a good meal, great atmosphere, attentive service, and active but quiet patrons. Would return in a heartbeat.
Well done homemade pasta paired very well with special lamb sugo.
We enjoyed a very good dinner at Coco Pazzo last Friday evening. The service was very attentive, the menu offered a broad selection, and the items we chose were very well prepared.
We consider ourselves to be discerning diners as we have enjoyed restaurants throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and other continents. We have been dining at Coco Pazzo for more than 20 years and we consider it to be the best "white tablecloth" restaurant in Chicago. The quality of our dining experience including the quality and preparation, all aspect of service, ambiance, and value have been consistently outstanding. Diners in Chicago are fortunate that Coco Pazzo has survived the pandemic. Every diner in Chicago should add Coco Pazzo the their "must dine there soon and often" list
I choose the restaurant week menu and it was not great. I had previous experience at Coco Pazzo and it was very good but not this time.
Have been here many times in the past & came to sample its Restaurant Week menu. The amuse bouche & desserts were terrific but the rest of the dishes we found so-so. Not worth the final tab once the drinks and service were added.
Also found our server lacking in warmth. Felt very hurried altho it took us a long 2 hours to get thru our dinner.
To start very disappointing portion sizes for Gluten Free pastas and veal was over cooked. Also, the table location near the hostess stand was terrible especially for value and total experience. Finally, the server rushed us which is unfortunate. We have enjoyed Coco Pazzo for years so overall surprising.
Mr.Padilla, General Manager was exceptional. Our sever was excellent as well.
Gracious staff members make the experience at this classic "white table cloth" restaurant exceptional. And of course the well prepared and presented food. In a City with many dining options this is a reliable place worthy of return visits.
I had the Tuscan seafood stew. Nicely spicy, with lots of pulpo, shrimp and a piece of lobster tail. They are doing a great job distancing and separating tables. One of my favorite spots in Chicago.
Such a lovely atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and the wine choices are great.
Great night to chill out in a very cozy and elegant atmosphere. Great food (one of the best Italian food in Chicago), wine and friendly stuff.
Great resturant with great food! I will definitely be back.
I have been coming to Coco Pazzo for many years. They always try and seat me at the worst table - the same table by the bar. The pasta's were very good but the seafood was not up to par. Their continued seating me at the same table every time I dine there is getting old - it's like they don't know that I have ever eaten there and it's been over 10 years of dining - really disappointing.
Coco Pazzo has survived covid. The food is as excellent as ever and the service is attentive. I had a taste of the eggplant parmesan and I'm certainly having that the next time we're there.
Great food and service. Will be back for sure.
The food is delicious and service attentive. They have done a very good job of spacing tables to be in accordance with distancing but still make it feel comfortable and natural.
Food is always excellent. All pasta's are great and cooked perfectly.
Celebrated my birthday here. The food and ambiance were amazing. Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent service and food! Can’t wait to go back!
Birthday celebration, I guess it’s not communicated to the host/server when reservation is made with OpenTable. We were rushed through dinner and plates were constantly being cleared when we weren’t finished. Host seemed to be surprised when asked for oil/cheese for our bread. In an Italian restaurant!
Valet says $15 but turns out it was $25.
Delicious food and great service! I highly recommend it!
Always a pleasure to eat at Coco Pazzo, the food and service are always excellent. Jack and his team are warm and friendly, they treat you like family. We've been going here for many years, trying to support them especially now during this pandemic.
I very much enjoyed by experience. The drinks and food were very good. Service was attentive. Atmosphere very lovely.
Superb! Coco Pazzo is the best restaurant in the Midwest!
Staycation & to support Chicago businesses.
Terrific place. Food is great; service even better. It's good to be back.
It was very good to have a special dinner with my friend.
Anniversary Dinner was amazing!!! Best service and delicious food.
We checked the box “Birthday” on reservation but the message apparently did not reach the staff so the birthday went unrecognized.
Everything was amazing. Had the caprese salad new your medium rare. Gnocchi. Also order marghereta pizza. That wasn’t that great. Overall a fabulous place. Very authentic.
Food and service were fantastic. My girlfriend had the half chicken and I had the Bistteca. Shared a bolognese as app. Drinks were delicious. They’re popular for Espresso Martini’s but I found the Italian 75 to be nice. Our server David was attentive and knowledgeable. Will be back!
Food was good, service was subpar.
Food was out of this world. I’m been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Introduced to two friends who were overwhelmed!
We enjoyed a quiet evening dining in at Coco Pazzo. The food we ordered, the ravioli and veal, was delicious. The service was outstanding, with the the wait staff and management being quite attentive making sure that our food was prepared to our liking and making sure our drinks did not run dry. A+ rating - can't wait to return again.
The cioppino was squid rings out of the freezer that were rubbery with no taste. The muscles had tiny mussels and basically were empty shells. The soup was like runny red water. The octopus we ordered was so tough we could barely cut it. The wine left something to be desired. For two people we paid $200 which was outrageous for the quality. Will not be going back.
Went here for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and his parents. We had wonderful service, food, and ambience! Rodrigo was a fabulous server and very knowledgeable.
This continues to be a stellar restaurant with great menu on over the top wine list service and food great
