Absolutely amazing! I will definitely go there again. We made a special request and they were more than willing to help us out.

Coco Pazzo is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. However i noticed that it has raised its prices significantly. Maybe they are in line with other top Italian restaurants but it seems overpriced now.

Everything was great. The only problem I had was with the manager. He was wearing a suit and was a little bit rude. Other than that, good experience.

Basically the food was ok. I had a veal dish, and the veal was tough. My daughter did love her gnocchi. They mad me a ceasar even though it wasn’t on the menu. The wine pretty good, but not worth 22 dollars a glass. If this was a 75 dollar meal,I would give it 5 stars , it was 175. Just my daughter and I. For the price I can not recommend this place. It was mostly empty. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday and left at 7. Tons of empty tables. This was my experience.

Coco Pazzo is one of those rare restaurants that remains at the top of its game year after year. The branzino is always a great bet. The vegetables in any dish are delicious. (The only item I’d skip is the bread, although my husband loves the breadsticks for some reason.)

This restaurant has been consistently good for decades… I love the rigatoni, the chocolate flourless cake, and the antipasto. The best part of the meal however is the service.

Superb Italian cuisine. Excellent wine selection. Elegant setting, attentive waitstaff. List of options not huge, but more than adequate, and will accommodate gluten-free eaters (who loose big not having excellent ciabatta, or squid ink pasta.) Pricy, but worth it. On the small list of authentic Italian spots (Spacca Napoli, Riccardo Trattoria, Piccolo Sogno) that I go to, more old-fashionadly elegant than those. Spiaggia is even fancier, but even pricier...

Service was fantastic, food was mediocre. Ordered steak medium, and it arrived well done. Pappardelle had a great texture, but sauce was nothing to write home about. Lastly, at most Italian restaurants, a basket of bread is brought to the table along with olive oil. Here, a server brings around a big basket of bread and asks you which of 4 types of bread you want, gives each person a single piece (literally) and then pours oil for you. If you want another piece of bread you have to flag that person down. Will not be returning.

Very best North Italian cuisine in Chicago with impeccable service and the very knowledgeable Sergio as the chief resident sommelier.

Our NYE dinner for three family members was defined by delicious courses prepared with fresh ingredients and beautiful sauces. Excellent food, as we were told by friends. Superb presentation, precision and craft everywhere around us. The single and obvious failing was our inexperienced waiter, who was inattentive to bread requests, wine refills, and whether or not our meals were satisfactory. Lavish attention given to larger more extravagant groups nearby, while our trio was left to fend for ourselves. He recommended a delicious wine, then was gone from the scene for 15 minutes. Opening and serving of wine fell to a waiter from another table. Who was that? We will surely return for the fine food and the chef, believing the rest of the waiters are top notch.

Beautiful dining room. We particularly liked the lamb chops and panna cotta dessert. Service was perfect. All food was very good but we felt it was over priced.

Whole environment was incredible. Place was a little cold, but understandingly— it was 3 degrees that night. While we were there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday, and they treated us accordingly, I feel like we would have received the same experience had it been a casual meal. Well done!

Definitely not Christmas Cheer! Coco Pazzo has been inconsistent in our many years of experience but based on a lovely business lunch my husband had recently we decided to try it for Christmas Eve, hoping for a quiet elegant dinner. Instead we got an unmitigated disaster.

Our server was consistently hard to locate. Wine was not what it should have been, as my husband noted at first taste, but we weren't in the mood to argue. Our server noted that my tuna special entrée would be seared. I confirmed that that was perfect. It came cooked to a grayness beyond words -- though the server's were "dang." This would have been the 1st opportunity to offer something to compensate for such problems but it turned out to be a lost opportunity. Pepper had to be repeatedly requested. My husband is from the clean-plate club but didn’t finish any of his courses, finding them all too greasy. In our 35 years together I have only seen this once when he was sick.

Finally it was time for dessert. We ordered vanilla, cappuccino & hazelnut. We received mixed berry, mango & hazelnut. It took a while to find our server, who then had a conversation with the bus staff, and asked us, "Did you hear that?" This would have been the 2nd opportunity to offer something to compensate for all the problems but it turned out to be another lost opportunity.

When the bill arrived, we discovered we'd been charged twice for the tuna. Our server took it to a man who appeared to be a manager. This would have been the 3rd opportunity to offer something to compensate for all the problems but it turned out to be another lost opportunity. This "manager" never came to apologize for all the disasters. He was too busy enjoying dinner with others.

Needless to say, we will not be back and will warn others to stay away. We expect better than this at this price point and, frankly, at any Italian restaurant in Chicago, which is blessed with such fine Italian cuisine in places that care for their customers.

I'm sorry to say it has been a couple years since I've been to this restaurant and I probably won't come back. It is well over rated and definitely overpriced. I mean really $28 for a plate of roasted vegetables to share. The refrigerated pasta I buy at the grocery store is far better than what I had here . And the service after the lunch crowd left was nowhere to be found at 1:30PM. Water refills...ok find a waiter. Oh there are the waiters hanging out at the bar. NOPE!

I ordered the daily risotto with fresh truffles and it was tasteless and dry. Sadly it was 80.00 for the truffles and 20.00 for the risotto. So 100.00 for a dish that I forced myself to eat a 1/4 of it. It was much the way I imagine wallpaper paste to taste. Truly disappointed.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Chicago. It never fails to provide great service and great food. The wine list is varied in type and price to fit any budget and the wine recommendations are always excellent.

Its a lively crowd of different ages and great for having a conversation without having to yell.

I'm going back.

Coco Pazzo never disappoints. After decades of eating there and introducing out-of-town friends to the restaurant, it always feels both familiar and new. The service is always top drawer, and the menu options are fantastic. I like the fact that I can have a dinner conversation without shouting or straining to hear what my friends are saying. As a vegetarian, I know there will always be a menu option for me--and of course, there are the anti-pasta vegetables.
