Coco Pazzo is always a treat! Fabulous food and service!
Love Coco always a favorite! Great food, service, ambiance.
The perfect combination of right recipes and high quality ingredients. They Never disappoint.
Wonderful restaurant. Great service and food. We are returning tonight with two friends.
Amazing food!! They make the salads in front of you—which are so great. Both the pastas were SO GREAT. Our waiter even brought us truffles to celebrate our anniversary. I recommend the aperol spritz—brought me back to my time in Venezia! Thank you Coco Pazzo!
Best octopus in the city!!!! I can't wait to go back.
Very nice for New Years' Eve - we were well treated and the food was delicious.
New Year’s Eve
Great place to take a date for the night. The pasta was great!
Terrible service . Had to call out for everything. Had to find other waitstaff to help. Food good but not worth it for such poor service
One of the few really and reliably good restaurants that one can afford. Quiet and elegant ambiance, good service and the food is usually excellent. There have been "off" nights, but we were there this past Saturday and the food was great.
Warm ambiance. Good menu choices. Excellent service.
Food was outstanding as always. They were great about getting us out on time for our show even though traffic kept us from arriving on time for our reservation - but we never felt rushed. Continues to be one of our favorite spots year after year.
8:15pm reservation, was not seated till 8:55pm. Did not receive our food till around 10pm. Food taste pretty bland
I’ve been going to Coco Pazzo ever since it opened in Chicago and have loved the food, service, and atmosphere from day one. 2 years ago I enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner with another family and it was lovely (as expected). This year, not so much. I was shocked. We arrived early and I totally understood that Christmas Eve was going to be busy so I didn’t complain when it took 30+ mins after our reservation time to get seated. The problem came when after an hour, our large table had not yet received the main course. I asked the server and got a quick response that the kitchen was backed up and we were about 10 mins out. After another 15 mins (and now the server was making himself scarce) I went to the maitre d’ and asked a bit more directly. Assured that they would “check” and let me know, I received no update. Another 20 mins went by before our food showed up in shifts. No explanation, no apology. The food was excellent as usual but there was no apology or even acknowledgement of the delay in receiving our food. Even though we were a large party, they did not add an automatic gratuity to the check so perhaps they wanted us to take out our frustration against the server? We didn’t. This was a breakdown on many levels. Not sure how quickly we’ll rush back, which is a shame.
Waited 30 minutes for a table. 15 minutes to order.
Christmas Eve Dinner
Best restaurant in Chicago, been going for years.
Timeless . . . never disappoints. Excellent suggestions from our waiter. Although the restaurant was busy and full, as expected on a holiday, we never felt rushed and each course came out perfectly prepared. Thank you Coco Pazzo! We will be back.
We went here for a family celebration of a wedding anniversary based solely off of the reviews and menu. To put is short, food was great, overall staff was good, our server was poor and the worst part of our experience.
Food: (we did a family style meal and shared)
Antipasti Misti - Great variety and good quality. Great way to start out a meal
Agnolotti ai Funghi - Phenomenal, by far the best flavor on the table all night
Tagliolini Neri - Good flavor, nothing phenomenal but a good variation to add.
Pappardelle Cinghiale - Second best thing on the menu, like all the pasta's we had it was cooked to a great al dente
Branzino Al Forno - Good flavor and texture, not overcooked and was a quality fish.
Maiale alla Milanese - Really good flavor, and for pork it was cooked perfectly. Not chewy or overcooked. Also had a nice thin layer of breading that didn't overwhelm each bite.
The host and bus boys were gracious and quick with service. We were sat quickly and our coats kindly taken. The bus boys quickly took away finished plates and replaced them for the next course. My water was never half empty before being refilled.
He was uninterested and unhelpful to say the least. When we asked for a recommendation on how many dishes to order the concept of sharing seemed foreign and he could not advise on the portion size for any of the dishes. He made the experience significantly less enjoyable.
Overall I would recommend this place, but I will definitely be trying others before returning.
Such a huge disappointment. Waiter nice but negligent. Food really bad. Shockingly so. Will never go back. Mentioned to friends and they had same experience. Too bad. Great location. Thumbs down.
We enjoy dinners at COCO PAZO THE NEW CHEF OS DOING A WONDERFUL JOB.
The food was very good, except it was to salty. The waiter paid very little attention to us.
Wonderful evening. I would say there want much more I would ask of a restaurant.
As usual the wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the food and wine were outstanding!
Very pleasant atmosphere that was modestly upbeat. Food was very good and service was great, too.
We were not disappointed with our annual dinner while at a Convention in Chicago. Well prepared and varied menu. Our waiter was personable and efficient. The risotto is always my go to first course.
Excellent meal. Sat at the bar. Great cocktails. Pork Milanese and penne arrabbiata was very tasty!
One of the very best restaurants in Chicago. Great antipasti table and a nice wine list. The food and service are very consistent. If you like Italian...…...
I had reserved a table for 6:30 pm and we were escorted to it immediately upon arrival. In summary, the food and service were excellent. My husband and I shared a delicious câprese salad to start—especially, the fresh mozzarella—followed by a pasta marinara, and then a grilled branzino (sea bass). The house made pasta was prepared as we like it — al dente and not drowning in sauce—and the branzino was perfectly grilled. Our friends also ordered the branzino as well as a Margarita pizza and a salad. The wine list is large and well-priced with an excellent selection of Italian wines. We chose a Gavi and it topped off a wonderful dinner and an excellent dinning experience. We will definitely return.
Birthday, I added notes to my reservation about birthday celebration and when we got there I told them it was my husbands birthday. They said they would add a candle to the desert and there was no candle. According to the reviews this place should be better but I would give it a 2 out of 5 stars. I regret taking my husband there for his birthday.
Not as good as it used to be despite a new chef who was promoted as “shaking things up.” Seems like the same menu they’ve had for years. Best bets are the pastas. There’s better Italian food in town
The food was excelent, our server was personable and the host was entertaining.
Going to Coco Pazzo was an experience! From the moment we arrived until we left the restaurant it was a memorable dinner and lovely time enjoying the meal and the staff.
As always, the service, food and ambiance were wonderful. We hadn’t been there for awhile and it was great to see that it was as good as ever.
