Lamb was out of this world delicious! Golden years service, upscale all details carefully arranged.
As always: Excllent food and service and quiet. A great dining experience)))
Good food, not so good dessert. We had antipati first wich was very good, then pasta and pizza wich was good but not exeptionel. The ”tiramisu” was not a tiramisu, more like a cake and didn’t taste much. the biscotti and tryffels was just some small, dry cookies, not bad but totalt overprized.
All in all a good restaurant but not VERY good. The service was good, no complaints.
Excellent service ! Delicious food! Great Valet! Highly recommended
I live in the Philly area, but selected this restaurant for a business dinner based on very favorable reviews. I’m so glad I went for it because the experience was outstanding and I will definitely go back! Due to travel delays with my client, I had to change my reservation twice the same day but the restaurant was very accommodating. Our waiter, Edgar, was friendly, fun and knowledgeable. The supporting staff were fantastic as well. We started with an antipasto board and buffalo mozzarella - both of which were amazing. For entrees, we had the Branzino and Risotto. Everyone loved their meals. We skipped dessert since we were all pretty full and it got late. Definitely book a reservation here!! You won’t regret it.
When I go for Italian food I want some basic stuff. The atmosphere should be relaxed and open. The music Italian and servers confident and tendetive. This is done to perfection here. Good pastas that are a dente as it should. Calamares were perfect and the only thing that could have been better was the Tiramisu that looked a bit to perfect and to little Amaretto. Great experience overall and recommends it if you like Italian
Waited 40 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. Derive was very slow
Coco Pazzo has been a go to for us for many years. The Ambience, the service and most importantly, the food has consistently been very good. If you are looking for some really good Italian fare you should definitely come here.
Fantastic meal and a fabulous atmosphere.
Very busy so service a little mixed
Food was excellent, really enjoyed the Fiorentina Steak. Smoked salmon was delicious, Brussels sprouts were just ok. The Barolo we ordered was delicious, but came at a hefty price of $100. Their wine list is a little over-priced. The Italian manager and the closing server were snobs. The Hispanic server that was with us for most of the night was great. Excellent server.
Outstanding food! Great service
Delicious appropriately sized portions....a real treat to enjoy a meal there!
Not what it used to be
Awesome pasta. Great service
Always a wonderful place to take friends and business associates. Perfect!
I made a reservations for our Executive Management team and I heard nothing but amazing things about their time at Coco Pazzo. The food was great, the service was excellent as well as the environment. Everyone expressed they wouldn't think twice about recommending Coco Pazzo to a friend or even for another work outing.
Thank you for everything.
Service was great. They honored every request we made. Food was very good all the way around and the wine selections were outstanding.
The best meal we had the 5 nights in Chicago. It was a great experience from the moment we walked in the door! I highly recommend Coco Pazzo for anyone wanting a great Italian meal!
Excellent food, good service, great ambiance
Excellent food and fantastic service for our party of 16.
Have not been to the restaurant for a couple of years. New chef is terrific. The whole evening was delightful and we will be back soon.
Great food and atmosphere
They always make us feel like we are at home. Great service. Delicious food.
This was our first visit to this original location of Coco Pazzo. We had eaten many times at their restaurant on St. Claire until it closed because of building renovation. This original location surpassed our expectations in every way possible. The food was wonderful. The service was exceptional. And, the ambiance was warm and welcoming.
Solid pasta dishes
Food was not to the standard I am used to in Italy/Europe. It was very cold with blowing airconditioning... too cold to enjoy the evening. We had 6-7 waiters to our table. Each coming for something else (bread, water, wine, food, etc etc). It felt a bit like a 'factory'... quickly in and out, so the next guest can come and spend money. Not bad, but certainly not as high class as I expected it to be ( but... maybe I am a bit spoilt coming from Europe...)
Fantastic service and food and noise level is really minimal
Thoroughly enjoyed. Looked like a place for locals which we like. Everything was wonderful.
old college friends gathering
Our very favorite restaurant for more than 25 years, but Sunday we had a new waiter and the service was erratic and not in a proper order. Great grilled octopus appetizer was placed in the center of the table without new plates and while we were still eating our salads. Waiter was pushing the 1st bottle of wine too fast. I was going to order a 2nd but didn't appreciate his haste.
Still the best!
A friend recommended this restaurant for my visit to Chicago and I was not disappointed. Wonderful space, excellent cocktails and superior food. I really liked the antipasti. We started with 4 different appetizers and split an entree which gave us a chance to try several items on the menu. Very relaxing and the tables are spaced a fair distance from each other so each table felt very private. Loved the old building this restaurant is in. The huge old wood beams and floor made this restaurant feel very elegant and inviting.
We arrived one hour earlier than our reservation and the maitre’d was able to accommodate us. We had a lovely evening with an awesome waiter who didn’t rush us. The food was delicious, each course was cooked to perfection! We’ve dined here for many years and it never disappoints!
The antipasti platter was good, but seemed to be missing flavor. The veggies weren’t pickled enough for my liking. Balsamic drizzle did the trick, but I had to ask twice. Our server seemed to be a bit of a premadonna - the guy doing water service and another guy bussing tables were both talked down to by our server and that wasn’t appreciated. I ordered a half portion of ravioli and when I said I was thinking about adding a salad, our server took my menu out of my hands and said, “you won’t need the salad”... well, I wish I had gotten the salad. We’ve eaten here before and each time it’s just an “ok” experience. Convenient to the Mart.
We have been going to Coco Pazzo since 1992 when it was a trendy new arrival in Chicago. As we have aged so has the clientele. The food remains consistently good. We enjoyed a guasetto of mussels in
Awful. Good tasted dry and bland for being a higher end restaurant. My client even had oil splashed on him when the waiter dropped an ice cube in the oil dish. They did nothing to compensate us for that as well. All in all a truly awful experience and I won’t be going back
We've been eating here for 25 years. It's the closest to eating in Italy of any US Italian restaurant we've been to.
Fabulous food and service. Thank you!
Our first time to Coco Pazzo was a party of 7 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Ambiance was lovely and curtains took the noise. We were waited on by the kindest team who served from the right and women first. The food was both beautifully plated and delicious. Each dish had an unexpected delightful element or ingredient to demand sharing. We made the night last 3 hours and it was splendid for everyone. One said it was the best meal he's had in this country!
We LOVE this restaurant. We took my mom for the first time and she also loved it. We just can’t get enough of the exquisite cuisine and comfortable lux atmosphere.
