This is a nice fancy Italian restaurant. Really good service and the food was tasty!
Great atmosphere, consistently great food and very professional service staff. The menu is varied and the quality of ingredients are exceptional. This is one of the few restaurants in the River North district where you and your guests can hear each other talk without screaming. The restaurant has a buzz and no music...refreshing for the area.
Exellent food quality, as usual, as part of a lovely experience. We were seated, as requested, in our favorite server's section. Angelica provided exemplary, personalized service. She is top-notch and our interaction with her is always the best part of our visits to Cocoa Pazzo. Kudos to her --she deserves much praise and promotion!
Amazing food, relaxing ambiance, excellent service
Excellent lunch: food and ambiance. Client was totally impressed and please with attention to her order.
Is my go to business lunch place given the low key ambiance, open space and excellent selection of food.
Awesome for a single diner
Fantastic evening celebrating our sons birthday!
We were there for the International Housewares Show. John Boos (Boos Block) cutting boards are the preferred cutting boards of many professional and home chefs. We took a group from Seattle, who represents JB, to dinner. We were very pleased with the dining experience and so were our guests!
One of our favorite restaurants. Food and service are always consistent. Love that it’s Northern ITALIAN too!
Outstanding, authentic Italian food in a comfortable environment. Good variety of dishes to chose from. Reasonable prices for what you get
We haven't been to Coco Pazzo in a while. We will definitely go back more often. It was amazing! Food and service were perfect!
Amazing food, great staff, great atmosphere. Can't recommend enough.
Excellent food, great cocktails, professional service
Everything was good but service was extremely slow - with really no one else in the place.
Terrible food. Gnocchi were grainy and tasted of artificial basil. Bread was stale. Super expensive. Maybe it was just a bad night, as I’ve heard that this place is great.
Always consistent, excellent quality and preparation, comfortable and casually elegant.
Everything was perfect.....almost. We were 1/2 hour early for our reservation and we were able to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a cocktail before our friends arrived promptly at the designated time. We were ushered to our table immediately, a lovely table by the window. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable. However, he tired to pressure us to order our entrees immediately, explaining they were very busy that evening and it would be to our advantage to place our orders right away. This was before we even had an opportunity to order an appetizer. Once we made it clear that we wanted to order our appetizer prior to ordering our entrees he seemed to understand we were hoping to have a nice leisurely dinner with friends and we didn't feel as rushed as we did when we were first seated. The restaurant was full, but certainly not crammed with people waiting for tables. The rest of the evening was flawless, all of us enjoyed our meals, and we did not feel rushed. I felt like we took a step back in time when dining was elegant and polite. We will defiantly return!
Always fantastic. Italian food doesn’t get any better than this...
I had been wanting to go to coco Pazzo for a very long time and I was hearing from some friends it was good and others that it was not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately for me it wasn’t worth the hype. The wine is good so we’re the appetizers, the salad was drenched in dressing, I know better and should of asked for it on the side. When it came time for the entrees I ordered the rigatoni with fennel sausage which the waitress said was ground into but it was too bad because it was too plain and even more so most of my noodles were undercooked, and I am someone who like them al dente but some of them needed at least another minute in the water. I only ate about a third and it was fine as I was full from the bread and the apps prior. My fiancé ordered the arbbiatta and it was very plain and had no real spice he asked for more sauce and they were good and remade it all. The Brussels sprouts had little flavor as well which is shocking as they were cooked with panchetta. I would recommend you to go for the apps and the truffles at the end of the meal but not for the pasta. The meal ended being expensive for something ho-hum.
A friend in River North introduced us to Coco Pazzo after we hosted Italian religious leaders on sabbatical and we traveled to Italy to visit them in their home neighborhoods in Venice, Pisa, Milano, Cinque Terra, Florence, Sienna, Rome, and Naples. This River North restaurant feels very authentic regarding contemporary Italian cuisine, great service, attractive ambiance, and long casual conversations at table, unhurried by wait staff. I highly recommend Coco Pazzo for your business, religious council, or civic meetings and social gatherings with friends and loved ones. Faithfully, Rev. Dr. Robert Cathey, Hyde Park, Chicago
Perfect place for special occasions! Love the space, the look, the smells, the food, and the service is unbeatable. Love coming here!
Great quality food with very poor service from Angelica.
Great legacy place always 5 star
Had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Coco Pazzo. Besides the opening complimentary appetizer - a bite of focaccia stuffed with some arugula and tomato which was completely underwhelming - everything was wonderful. Service was attentive and fun without being overbearing. The mozzarella di bufala was delicious and the bistecca Fiorentina was really quite excellent.
Very enjoyable dinner in all respects. Squid ink spaghetti with seafood was delicious. Service attentative, but not intrusive. Perfect!
Best business lunch in Chicago! Jack Weiss and his team always deliver an experience that is original and authentic at the same time!
For an Italian restaurant there appeared to be very limited choice of pastas, sauces and meats. Could not get pesto or meat sauce with pasta of choice. Food inconsistent for this level of restaurant. Wine terrific, Osso Buco great, veal dish overcooked, Squid/pasta dish great, Wild Boar Ragu not much flavor and dessert very good.
Best Italian Restauant in Chicago
Pricey but nicey
All-around fabulous dinner. The staff was on point, the food came out hot and the dessert was delicious! I will be back again soon.
True Tuscan cooking at its best. We were early diners, so service was very attentive yet we were not rushed. Smoked salmon was excellent, as was roasted octopus. Entrees were superb! Lamb shank was melt in your mouth soft with creamy polenta and the Tuscan seafood stew was perfect with a fresh tomato broth
Food, ambiance, service, all outstanding. Generous staff, attentive. Wonderful.
Outstanding service and food was wonderful As always. We enjoyed our special occasion
Best Italian restaurant in Chicago . Great food Great service. Great atmosphere. Wonderful experience
Restaurant week menu was incredible. The Agnello al Chianti was incredible and the wine was 🤩
Finished it off with panna cotta that was out of this workd
Coco Pazzo is always a superb experience in dining.
Went here for lunch with my mom and 8 month old son. From the moment we walked in the door the level of service was incredible and above anything I’ve received. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be returning for lunch again and dinner soon.
Just always elegant, with good quality food, attentive service -- a great place for conversation.
FOOD WAS GOOD QUALITY, FRESH, TASTY, WELL PREPARED, GOOD PRESENTATION.
OVERALL QUALITY OF OUR FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. EVERYONE LIKED WHAT THEY ORDERED:
VEAL, CHICK, BASS, COD, CLAMS.....APPLE TART...
I LOVED THE BEET SALAD.
