Amazing Birthday dinner! Food is incredible. Service was even better.
The service was very slow; we were there for two hours and each course we waited longer than ever would have thought. There seemed to be confusion as to what waiter was assigned to our table, and at one point we asked a waiter to figure out the salt shaker and he nor two others could, so they gave us a small simple one instead.
The food was delicious and the service is always outstanding. The wine recommendation was excellent. The ambience is welcoming and very comfortable.
Returned to a perennial fave of ours for our anniversary dinner. Dependably excellent all the way around. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive without being over bearing. Frito misto, pasta and branzino were fresh and flavorful.
Very informative, courteous, professional service as all of my visits.
Amazing. Service and food was excellent. Thank you.
It was incredible great service and perfect spot for birthday
Initially service started out great but the servers became more and more distracted and service ended up being bad. The food was moderate at best. The restaurant is tired and needs an update. Noise was high as there is not much separation from other tables.
As good as the food and service are -- and each is superb -- the care to the diners' safety and security during these covid-dominated times is spectacular. No fears dining here. Highly recommended.
The food, service and ambiance are excellent. In town for business and went there two nights in a row because I was so impressed.
Incredible food and service. They really do treat you like VIPs. Will be coming back very soon
Good food and staff
A perfect place for a special (no occasion) dinner with my 13-year old granddaughter, who has all the makings of a sophisticated foody. We sat outside on a beautiful night, and the food--as always--was superb. Service was amazing, and we enjoyed every minute, including the spectacular sunset.
Love this restaurant! It has become a weekly date night spot since we moved to the River North neighborhood. They treat you like a VIP guest every time and the food is always wonderful. We've been trying everything on the menu and have yet to find something we don't love. The prices are very reasonable, especially since the portions are large. Every single employee we've encountered there is so kind, helpful, and genuine. Such a neighborhood gem!
My husband and I enjoyed an exceptional (as always) meal for our anniversary last week. We started with cocktails - their martinis are generous and well-made - and the superb duck pate, which is exquisitely served in a little glass jar, and accompanied by toasts, onion marmelade and grapes. Since it was a special occasion, we shared the 40 oz porterhouse, which was cut tableside. This high-quality steak was expertly cooked and flavorful, reminding us that there is great steak in Chicago besides over-priced steakhouses! We had more than enough to take home, including some scraps and a bone that our dog devoured. French fries and brussels sprouts were perfect sides. Roberto, one of their excellent sommeliers, recommended a wonderful red wine. For dessert, their grapa cart is simply amazing. I should also mention that Coco Pazzo is vigilant about social distancing, and the tables are widely spaced apart in an enormous, loft-stlyle space, and all staff wear masks. Let's keep going out and supporting our favorite restaurants!
Fantastic food and service.
Great job with social distancing and spectacular food!
Nice experience outside the restaurant. As always food quality great
Excellent place under covid circumstances. We have been there many times pre-covid and of course it is not the same. That being said, staff did an excellent effort to maintain ambience and quality while ensuring safety of all
Great food and great service. One of my favorite authentic Italian restaurants in the City.
Amazing staff and food! They now have outside tables
As usual, exceptional food combined with attentive service!
Plenty to choose from. Start with thin crust pizza Marguerita or really good pate which is hard to find. Had trout special and split a hand mixed caesar. Great service, great setting and service
I met a girlfriend at Coco Pazzo for a good catch up over a tasty meal. We sat outside, which is new during COVID, but such a nice option! We started with the duck pate which was incredibly decadent. We split it which was good because it is a fairly large portion size, perfect for splitting. For our mains, she had the squid ink pasta with seafood and I had the trout special. Honestly the presentation on the trout, which was served butterfly-filleted, skin side up, was amazing! The fingerling potatoes were perfectly cooked and salted and the green beans a great balance
for a meal on a hot summer evening. The focaccia never disappoints and we each had a glass of rose, another wonderful summer treat. The service was so thoughtful, which is even more appreciated with the new COVID mask restrictions in place starting that night. Basically, every time the wait staff approached the table, we diners needed to have our masks on. Clearly we had them on when we initially ordered but as we were eating and he would come check on us, we had to put them back on. But he came near enough that we knew he was checking in but balanced that with staying far enough away so that we could eat. Such a delicate balance! I love love this spot and was delighted to spend an evening there again! Highly recommend!
The brunch is AMAZING--Coco Pazzo's chef is brilliant, and owner Jack could not be a nicer guy. We can't wait to come back!
Good and service friendly and excellent, we will go back in for sure.
Fantastic food, even better staff! Outdoor seating isn’t cramped.
Best Italian restaurant in Chicago. A hidden gem with reliable quality and service. Also, easy in and out of the city - much less hassle than the Michigan Ave restaurants.
Best Italian restaurant in the city. So glad they open again.
Great meal at one of our favorite restaurants!! Great staff, good wine selection, and my spaghetti Vongole was exceptional. My wife loved her veal!!
Fresh ingredients in a very pleasant environment. High quality service. Excellent high quality value...the best place for authentic Italian fare.
Great place go see them outside and inside open
I have loved Coco Pazzo Cafe for years. Had an impromptu dinner there last week. And as usual, it was perfect. So, decided to go to Coco Pazzo with my friend of 40 years for her last Chicago dinner as she is departing for Naples for forever sun. What a disappointment. Slower than slow service. They forgot our side dish, but charged us for it. Still eager to get us out on time.
Coco Pazzo continues to impress! The main room is even more pleasant now that tables are spaced far apart, the staff is still great, and so is the bartender. Slightly limited menu but something there for everyone, try the risotto quattri formaggi, 4 cheeses up together with the fritto misto appetizer and a nice Negroni. Nice outside seating also.
All was excellent save the disappearance of
our waiter. The Owner took over to do
a yeoman’s job in taking care of us. We
appreciate it very much!
It’s my favorite restaurant of all time. Everything is perfect.
There is no better Italian restaurant in Chicago. Been going there for over 25 years. There are a few others in their league, but none are better.
Never had anything but a great meal and service.
Amazing service, sat outside, even a little rain could not ruin the evening. The special halibut was delicious., along with caprese salad with sumptuous tomatoes! Prosecco was delightful and will go back soon!
Normally, Coco Pazzo is flawless in everything: food, service, ambiance. This time, the service was poor. Slow overall; we had to make repeated requests; dessert was very slow in arriving; and essentially after we finished the entree itself, there was NO service.
Amazing service and food is better. Not one of the big names in Chicago for Italian but the best I’ve had in the city.
