My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, service, and decor. We would definitely recommend this place.
Beautiful space, great ambiance, super chic. We had a great time and a delicious dinner and the service was amazing!
I highly recommend Coco for groups, celebrations or just to have fun and drinks at the bar.
We went to celebrate a birthday. It was a mixed experience. We loved our table, the staff couldn’t have been nicer, but there were just too many things that gave our experience a so-so rating. To start, we ordered champagne and the waitress brought chardonnay. Bread, which was delicious, arrived about a minute prior to our first courses. At this point I am feeling a little rushed after having waited a bit too long to get a drink. Two of our three firsts were excellent... the burrata (although I questioned it being offered at a french restaurant) ...the sauce was amazing (thats the french!) and the hummus! While still eating they removed two of our three dishes taking the amazing sauce that should have been lapped up with the bread... now I am really feeling rushed. Whose does that!? When our mains came the winner was the branzino...! The steak frites was just so so... a french basic, and the wrong choice of a salad nicoise...the tuna tasted like it came from a can. The truffle fries were completely over cooked... which was a shame as one order came with the steak and the other for the table...never saw unfinished fries before! When one of us asked for another glass of champagne they didn’t have any left of the same bottle. They offered a substitute, on the house, but it was sweet... nothing like the dry we first ordered. In between all this were thing that fine dining should have figured out. Coco can work on all this and become a great restaurant...and we may be back for burrata and branzino but not anytime too soon!
Coco is one of the most beautiful restaurants that I have ever stepped foot in, from the decor to the ambiance and chic paintings. The service was top notch as well and you can really see and feel the authenticity of the cuisine. I will definitely be back!
Our experience for a birthday dinner fully surpassed our expectations as the maitre d, Louis, was very passionate about his dining guests and accommodations. Louis is an invaluable asset to Coco J’adore; he’s very knowledgeable and kind. The courses were presented in beautiful style and the restaurant is delightfully decorated in a trendy ‘south of France’ vibe. This is a great addition to the meatpacking restaurant circuit ! Cannot wait until they start their party brunch with euro style dj’s quite soon :)
The worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Manhattan.
A beautifully stunning restaurant sabotaged by awful service and bad (tasteless, cold and expensive) food.
The restaurant was less than half full at 9pm on a Saturday night (not a great sign)
Our server had 4 tables to wait on, and we must have seen him max 3 times throughout the night.
They didn’t have our first choice of wine, they recommended another similar one but then when we wanted more of that they didn’t have it.
Appetizer took an hour to arrive, entrees arriving 2 hours later, cold!
I’ve never written a review in my life, but our experience was so astonishing awful I cant quite get my head around.
I give it 6 months max
Lovely restaurant and very nice staff. Food was excellent.
It is a modern chic place, with excellent wait staff and excellent service. I had the brick chicken and a steak tartare. It was moderately portioned, it’ll satisfy an average human appetite. For dessert, I had the creme brûlée which was sweet and topped with fresh fruit and worth every cent. I had a cocktail (Godiva) with my meal and it had an excellent kick with every sip. I hope my comments help. I’d recommend this to anyone who loves ambiance with their food experience.
CoCo is fairly new and has a LOT to improve.
Our bread only arrived after two times asking.
Wine ordered showed up twice/double
The waiting time before the first course and between courses was over 30 minutes. After asking about the arrival of our main course it still took about 15 minutes to get it. We had a bottle of sparkling water on table but our glasses (with sparkling) got topped up unasked with tap water. The bills of 3 tables around us were not correct (ours was).
The waiter told us the main courses were ‘decent portions’ so we did not order sides. The gnocchi we ordered were definitely not a full main course portion. The wine by the glass we had was good, but the wine list is severely overpriced. The ambiance is very nice, but around 10pm the dj started playing tunes overly loud. It is a restaurant, not a club, right?
Waiters got more nervous over the course of the evening, as the mistakes and failures kept piling up. We got ‘sorry about that’ ‘s but no compensation. Therefore, we did not tip. They still have so much to improve in order to run it like a proper restaurant that lives up to its décor and menu prices.
The service was absolutely terrible! The wrong drink was given to me followed by lengthy waits for all the courses and it wasn’t even busy. The staff was nice and friendly but the execution was not. Not again.
We went here for French restaurant week and it was good. The drinks and food were a little overpriced but Luis made us feel so welcomed. I would recommend.
The space is gorgeous. Photos dont do it justice. Kudos to the designer.
Food and service were excellent. Food was delicious and presentation was art. Lots of care went into each dish.
I had bone marrow starter and salmon main. My companion had burratta and felt it was the best she ever had. Also steak frites. We shared the chocolate soufflé.
You feel like you are in a movie set. The aqua chairs are to die for.
Overall a very good experience. Food very good but pricey. Need a good starter salad at a reasonable price. Need more wine selections in the $50-75 range and some champaigne selections in the $100 range.
Coco is a wonderful French restaurant no one knows about yet. They still need their signage outside as it was a bit difficult to find. The food is well prepared and delicious. Very attentive service as well. If you are in this neighborhood give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
We had brunch in this new restaurant with a gorgeous decor. The ambiance was great with big open doors at the entrance. We had fun people watching. The food was out of this world, especially the gnocchi and cheese. The standard brunch items eggs Benedict and the steak and eggs were fabulous for such a new restaurant. We welcomed this new edition to our neighborhood.
Lovely place, with a terrific staff and good food. Will be going again.
