The inside is super cute ! It’s fun for a date or a drink to catch up with a friend
Love the different healthy options. Restaurant also always has a great 90s playlist
We went here for brunch and were not disappointed by the menu or the food. Everything was fresh and delicious. But the noise level was untenable. I could not hear my husband who sat directly across the table from me. We ended up eating very quickly so we could escape the din. Granted, it’s a small space, but even so, it seemed Ill-designed to accommodate a lot of people at peak times. Unfortunately it made for an unpleasant dining experience and I don’t think I would go back unless they did something to improve the acoustics in there.
Great food, music was way too loud even after having asked the server to turn it down
This place was just okay. The music was loud and unpleasant at a crowded Saturday brunch, where I and my date had to shout to hear each other. The restaurant is casual, packed with NYU students. The menu was appealing but neither of our meals actually tasted any better than average. The service was rushed and the person serving us needed to be asked to serve the coffee and croissant we had ordered. With tip, all of this cost over $60 for an experience that wasn't especially pleasant.
Very quick, yummy food. Good service. Nice brunch place
Nice food and great service but at $6 for a tiny Cappacino which apparently was the biggest they had - not worth going. Guess I was comparing to cafes back in Aus but would not recommend.
The food tasted great! The fries are unbeatable!! We were seated right away according to my reservation time. I was a bit disappointed in how long it took for food to come out and the attentativeness of the staff. The music was a bit loud and I felt like I had to really project my voice across the table to speak to my friend. The table was wobbly. Originally, my reservation was marked absent with OpenTable requiring me to follow up to assure it was corrected which was annoying.
Tastiest healthy food ever. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Wish I lived closer or they would open up on the Upper East Side.
No AC...and waited over half an hour for our brunch...
Great food. Plenty of options. Huge portions. Green bowl was very tasty. highly recommended.
No air conditioning
I would recommend, but not at prime lunch time. Way too noisy to have a conversation. Food good and staff pleasant and helpful.
Not enough Australian options!
Awesome place, great service. Food was really good although a little dissatisfied on the pancakes. Great selection of music.
Such a good healthy and fun option for a weekend lunch
Great service! The food was good too. Although it is in a busy location, the ambiance is nice.
Quality food good value
great place to hang out and not break your wallet im NoHo. nice ambiance, great service and amazing salad and burger
Expensive for what it is. The southwestern salad was good. But my friend ordered a burger and it came out completely raw on the inside, way under-done.
Cute spot in East Village near NYU. Really good breakfast, serving size is big. Great coffee. Friendly service.
pricey for what the food is. everything tasted good, but you can get the same meal elsewhere for much less
Delicious food, a great time. I can’t wait to come back!
The food was delicious and from very fresh ingredients. Only issue was with the mountain of French fries that came with the Portabella mushroom burger. A larger burger would have been better than an excess of fries. The hostess was very attentive and helpful.
Great spot for easy, healthy, unpretentious dinner in the Village
Excellent food and really good, friendly service. Wish the menu was a bit more expansive and had some appetizers, but not a huge issue. Only one dessert offered, but it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.
This is my 3rd time dining at Coco & Cru.
Their burger and salads are always excellent and amount is about right. The servers are usually great and experienced + SMILING. Thanks.
Went for brunch. Was a bit taken aback by the limited breakfast options but we all found what we wanted. Good size portions, quick friendly service. I had the pancakes, daughter the waffles, son the breakfast sandwich. All delicious and filled us up!
Food was good, not amazing. Service was good. Burger was brought without ketchup. Wine prices were ridiculous. It was a fine dinner and near the theater we were going to.
Love the food, so many good options
Based on the name it would appear that this is french; it is not. The ambiance is more NYU than NYC. The music is blasted and the chairs are uncomfortable. The food was mediocre at best. The grilled chicken was like leather. The fried chicken was dark meat only. The best part was the brownie for desert. I would not return.
The tables are so close together that you had better be very thin or have no bags coats, purse or anything with you that you wish to keep next to you. It’s absurd that they squeeze so many people into such a tight space. The reviews were good so we thought we would give it a try for Sunday brunch, but alas, it was at best, mediocre.
Coco and Cru is delicious, so it’s no surprise that it was jam packed for Saturday brunch. I ordered the chicken burger, mom had the BEC, dad ordered the Cobb salad, and my boyfriend had the burger. I also ordered the breakfast margarita. Everything was tasty and left us feeling very full. Service was great and the restaurant is nicely decorated. My only complaint is that it was way too loud. Not sure how to combat that because it’s a good thing to be popular but we could barely hear each other over the noise
They were closed when we got there and no decency in letting us know. Just saw a sign
This review is for brunch. On the plus side, the restaurant has a great casual vibe. The menu is varied and the service was very attentive. However, I thought the food was pretty average and overpriced for what it was. Several of us at the table had their open faced omelet, which was small and basic. The $14 Bloody Mary was also pretty skimpy. We were still hungry when we left! The noise level is high - yes, this creates a buzzy atmosphere but you it hampers conversation.
Service was absolutely terrible. I ordered the salmon salad. The salmon came out raw and when I asked to have it cooked a little more, the waitress told me they could do it but it would take a really long time. When the meal finally came out, the waitress mocked me for assuming that the salmon would be served medium well. She lectured me on how restaurants don’t automatically cook salmon medium well and that I should have known to tell them how I wanted the salmon cooked. I did not appreciate her attitude and for trying to make me feel bad for asking that my food not be served raw. Maybe waitresses should be trained to ask customers how they would like their fish/meat cooked like every other restaurant I’ve been to. On top of all of this, we had to keep asking for basic things (part of my friend’s order didn’t arrive until after we were all done eating, utensils, water, napkins).
My friends and I stopped in for happy hour after work and will definitely be back for dinner or brunch soon! We had quite a large party (7 of us) so we made a reservation before hand. The dining area isn’t terribly large and got busier as the night went on, so keep that in mind if you plan on coming in with a large group. Service was super friendly and attentive and drinks were delicious and a good value for the price. If I remember correctly beers were $4, wine was $6, and cocktails were $8 during happy hour. Although we did not stay for dinner, we did have a few snacks (fries and avocado toast, both were delightful). It is super cute inside as well. We will be back soon!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. They had an all-day happy hour deal for beer and cocktails. I ordered the salmon salad, and overall it was very good. However, it can be very cramped.
The restaurant was ice cold and they ran out of a dish my friend had wanted. Overall, mediocre experience but an easy place to pop in and get a meal.
