Dining area upstairs is nice and relatively quiet compared to the crowded bar downstairs. Appetizers/bar food like the sausage roll and the mug fries are excellent, whereas main courses (ie sandwich, burger, shepherds pie) are mediocre. No happy hour.

I had hoped that being a "British" pub, rather than an Irish one, there would be something different about the Cock&Bull. But to be honest, there was really little special. The food was OK - but nothing that really bought fond memories of the UK back. Service was friendly and attentive - a quiet lunchtime, so not sure what it is like on a busy day.

This is my second trip to Cock and Bull and it was just as good, if not better, than my first. I had the fish and chips along with the soup of the day (green lentil) and my friend had the same soup and the hanger steak sandwich. Everything was delicious. Although, this time there was no room left for dessert. Next time!!!

First time going and was pleasantly surprised. Had the soup of the day which was absolutely delicious. Entrée was the chicken pot pie and dessert was the flourless chocolate cake. What a superb meal. The next day I told friends about it and recommended it. Will definitely be going back again.

My wife and I walked in for a very late lunch after messing up our schedules. The staff understood our need for quick service and accommodated up appropriately.

I love Cock and Bull. I like to introduce friends to Cock and Bull and that was what I did on Thursday night. I took I friend and he really enjoy it. He had the bacon-wrapped metloaf and I had the steak sandwich. I usually get the chicken potpie but i forced myself to get something different and I am glad I did. The steak sandwich was amazing! So flavorful and tender. The fries are always good. My friend's meatloaf meal was so big he took half home for lunch the next day. The staff is always wonderful at Cock and Bull. I very much enjoy each time I visit.

Great authentic British pub. Authentic menu and extension variety of British ales, lagers, etc. We sat by the bar which is well appointed and comfortable with a wide variety of Scotch whiskeys and other spirits. The food was very tasty and satisfying. Service terrific. It is a real British pub feel and the owner, authentic accent and U.K. propriety and friendly welcoming manner is present to make sure that you enjoy your experience Highly recommended for friends to meet and soak in the atmosphere.

The food's always great at the Cock and Bull. The Scotch egg is good to start, then you can't go wrong with the beef and ale pie. The pastry is always perfect.

I don't know about dessert, I've never had any room.

We had a wonderful dinner before the theater. We were impressed by how the entire wait staff waited on us, checked on our status, and teamed up smoothly and friendly-ly. It was a great team approach that we're not used to seeing. Well done!

We were grabbing a quick dinner near our hotel. My 12 yr old son has food allergies, and the manager took care of us himself... Made sure the kitchen knew about the allergies and we were able to get a gluten free pasta dish with grilled chicken that was perfect. Fantastic service!

Great, moderately priced option in midtown. The food was very good. Not terribly impressed with wine list but beer drinkers will like the beer selections.

We went to this restaurant to meet up for drinks and go through wedding pictures with our photographer. We ordered a round of drinks and carried on conversation for about an hour. I understand we probably looked very engaged in what we were doing, but I found it odd our server never approached our table after our drinks arrived. The beer selection was good, but I can't touch more on anything else beyond that.

The bar was vibrant and the bartender was extremely personable and made one feel comfortable. Food was mediocre and could be so much more. I would suggest that that change the oil in the deep fryer, as my fish and fries all the way around tasted a little old. Service was great at the beginning and fell off as the evening progressed. It seemed as though they may have been a little short staffed and there just wasn't that attention to detail.

... this is the place to go! The cheesy biscuit crust on the chicken pot pie really tops it off... oh wait, there's also melted stilton on top... great filling lunch. Service was attentive and friendly.
