Fantastic food and great service. Thank you!!
Fabulous guacamole & margaritas!!
Our server was attentive with keeping our water glasses full & inquiring if we needed more beer or chips with salsa. I had the chicken salad and my husband had the chicken burrito bowl. The food was very fresh & tasty! We always enjoy our means at Cocina Hermanas!
A lovely and fun outdoor dining experience. We were late for our reservation and they were very kind to accommodate us.
This is a fun restaurant. Casual and low-key with friendly, attentive servers. Most of us had tacos which were small, but tasty. Their rice and beans are fine. We ordered guacamole and it was delicious. Two of us had the Sassy Senorita margarita which was spicy, but not too much. An overall enjoyable lunch and we’ll definitely return.
The food and service are fantastic! Can’t wait to go back again.
I really don't like writing bad reviews.
I don't know where the communication in our visit got lost but someone somewhere did not get the message that we were sat in their section or we were just purposely completely ignored. The three of us showed up five minutes late to our 2:15 reservation. We were sat outside in a section full of dirty tables. We watched those tables get cleaned, we watched other guest be sat, we watched other guest be waited on, and we watched the server in the section clean all the tables around us. However, we were never greeted after the host sat us and gave us the QR menu. I am not sure why the server cleaned tables around us and waited on guest around us, but after 32 minutes of not being acknowledged I started to wonder if it was because I was dining with two black people. We got up and walked out of the restaurant without any staff saying goodbye or even noticing that we had not been taken care of. We were completely disregarded from the moment we sat at that dingy table. We weren't even given water or napkins.
We've missed dining here during the pandemic, and were very happy to be back. The food is still the best, most fresh flavors. We were seated in the bar and the service was amazing...very attentive bartender (Devin), supported by an excellent wait staff, and a visit by the Executive Chef.
My food was served cold and it was returned to be heated up. I sat and waited for 20 minutes but no food was returning. We asked another server if they could help us. She was able to see what happened and I basically ate when everyone else was done about 20-25 minutes later. A bit disappointed. The desserts we great though!
Awesome! Love this place
This is a great place to meet friends for margaritas and tacos. Especially nice is the patio/deck dining in warm weather.
Our waitress was awesome and made sure we had everthing we needed. I totally forget her name but she had long blond hair, very sweet. It was so nice to get out to eat eat and have an awesome dinner. thanks!!
The Chicharrones and the churros are AMAZING. Drinks are decent.
Amazing time, Amazing service and such a great menu
Great food - salad and tacos. Service was superb - attentive , friendly and overall great experience
Service was very very slow. 10 minutes before we got a server and water. Said she’s be right back. 10 minutes later she’s back to take our order and said we’d get chips and salsa right out... another 5 drinks arrive then finally the chips etc. Ordered an appetizer. Our entire meal comes first. Assume she just forgot to put it in. Then 5 min later the appetizer comes out. Explain to the food runner that we ordered it as an appetizer. She says “sorry” and just leaves it.
Server returns explain the situation. She’s very nice and does take it off the bill. The bartender gave us a round of shots for free! So ok... The food was very good. But the slow service really took away from it. The price was a little expensive for what you got. Though delicious. Will give it another shot, but.. not entirely impressed.
Great balance of intense authentic flavor, and good healthy options. Fantastic red mole, only place with roasted fish tacos.
The food was good. The fish tacos were a little salty. The cocktails were yummy. The service was slow. But overall it was a good experience. They just need to be a little more attentive to the service portion.
Love Taco Tuesday...however, carnitas tacos were so dry, not worth eating. Beans and rice that were served on the side were dry and NO flavor. Other entrees were good.... good sauces and flavorful.
Had seating outside
The food was good
However since it was busy they forgot the order for one of our friends
However they did compensate us with a free dessert
We went for Mother’s Day and I’m sad to say the service was absolutely terrible. It took us 40 min just to just get chips and Salsa. I had to get up and ask who was evening taking care of us. We had two different people waiting on us because our server who started to wait on us clearly couldn’t handle the work load. It was so confusing to even know who to ask for refills on drinks, or who was even going to take our order. We were there for over 2 hours and it felt like we were just waiting the entire time. The table next to us remanded dirty for one hour. Then at the end of our meal the manager asked us if he could clear our table and seemed to be in a hurry to get us out. We will definitely not be going back anytime soon. Hopefully management can better staff for special occasions. Super disappointed with our experience.
I requested an indoor table through Open Table, but was seated outside. Only one menu provided for two people. Drinks came, but were nothing special. No Mexican beers on tap. The bowl of complimentary chips we were given was full of broken chips and crumbs. The single bowl of guacamole we ordered had TWO avocado stems in it. The ceviche appetizer came out after our entrees. We ordered both taco trios, but only the carne asada and birria tacos were any good. Super overpriced for the two-bite taco sizes. Overall, a very bad experience. We will not be back.
Disappointing food. Rest is ok.
Great food, service was good for how few servers they had.
We have here multiple times. We have enjoyed tacos and appetizers. But I am not sure if there is new chef or new suppliers ..
Our May 5th dinner was below expectations. It may be readiness for such busy evening. But shrimp tacos had a really thick breading that pealed, carne asada was difficult to chop and cut.. there is definitely a quality issue.
Flavors were unique but there is definitely a shift.. loss of unique flavors we enjoyed in the past.
The food was amazing! Highly suggest the smoked tequila! Very lively restaurant great for a girls dinner out!
The food was exceptional. And the service was above and beyond, including keeping the propane heaters going, as it was chilly
Good food and service
Love my spicy margarita
Great service and delicious food
Love this place. Perfect service everytime. Great food. Love the margaritas
We had a wonderful experience dining together with 12 guests in total including 6 young kids. The service was so accommodating and the food was superb. We can't wait to go back!
Had really great food. Took my friend from out of town there and she loved it too!
Food was probably the worse Ive had in a long time. Food under cooked as well.
Excellent service! Tasty menu. Definitely will be back
The best carnitas in town. Try the brussels sprout salad with chicharrons - life changing!
Love Cocina Hermanos. Friendliest staff and great food and drink. Best Mexican food in the East Bay for sure, and in a beautiful restaurant with a cool vibe.
Another wonderful meal at one of our favorite spots!
Service was very slow but we weren’t in a hurry. The fish tacos were a little too fishy for my liking. Not something I’d go back for.
It was the first time I visited this restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is very good. Unfortunately the heaters did not keep you very warm on the deck and they shut them off much before we were ready to leave. They told us it was on a timer and then there was some type of electrical issue. They had last call on the kitchen and bar at 8:30 and they turned the lights off at 9 PM!!! They did tell us they were close and we could stay but I didn't expect no heat or lights at 9 PM.
The manager heard we were not happy and gave us her card for dessert the next time were were in but....
I would recommend this restaurant on a weekend in the summer when it's warm and there is natural light.
