Menu is interesting and creative. Bartender was helpful. We enjoyed our food but our waiter was less than attentive and somewhat awkward making for a longer dining experience than expected. We dined on the patio which was lovely until the table next to us began to smoke, causing us to end our night one course and one round of drinks earlier than planned.
This is as our second time to dine at Cocha. It is such a beautiful & unique restaurant in the downtown area.
Definitely a “hidden gem” of Baton Rouge.
The food as well as the service are always exceptional.
Look forward to our next dining experience with Cocha!
Absolutely one of, if not the, best restaurant in town.
Cocha's NEVER disappoints. A true Baton Rouge gem
Ownership warm and skilled. The menu is varied and unfailingly appealing . There is a touch of “ Cheers “ making Cocha a very warm and rewarding experience.
Loved everything but our service. Think we just got a bad waiter because others seemed to be way more efficient
Great food, bit loud inside with music but still not bad. Service not quite back to full levels from Covid but still ok. Creative chef.
Made an OpenTable reservation for myself at the bar. When I arrived, no seats at the bar which didn't start my experience off on the right foot. Once seated at an undesirable table a bar seat opened so I moved. Service at the bar was okay, might have had better service at the table. For dinner I started out with the arancini which was delicious, crispy and had a great horseradish creme sauce. For my entree I had the noodle stir fry. Nice portion, but could have had more veggies, less noodles and sauce. Overall had some great veggie options but they are lacking in execution and service. Blame Covid for being short staffed and not having all wines on the menu. Two glasses of wine, one cocktail, one app and one entree for $61 plus tip. Overpriced dinner, spotty service to sum it up.
Delicious food with an creative wine list. We had a great evening and will definitely return.
Really good ambiance, food, and customer service. Highly recommend.
We had a late lunch so the restaurant wasn't too crowded. Having just flown into town, this was our first time to eat at Cocha and we were not disappointed. We wanted a light lunch and our server made good recommendations for both food and wine. I had a 1/2 salad with medium rare salmon that was cooked to perfection. The hubs had the pork belly sliders that he gave two thumbs up. Both were paired with a nice wine, neither of which were on the menu. We will definitely be back to Cocha on future visits.
The wait staff was attentive and the food was great! Waiter provided recommendations and alternatives as needed.
Fantastic food service and ambience!
Great food and good customer service. I love the Cocha salad.
If you want a unique experience and quality food at its finest than don’t hesitate to eat here. The owners are always hands on and treat each guest as if they are long life friends. The cuisine is like no other you will find in Baton Rouge.
Never disappoints me, always fresh items on the menu. From the time you walk in - to the time you leave the staff are amazing.
Always enjoyable. Love eating outdoors in good weather.
Vegans and meat eaters equally excited by the unique menu. Everything was delicious. The Indonesian noodles, asparagus risotto and cachapa were favorites. Service was perfect, thank you Coco! It was our first visit but we have already recommended Cocha to several friends and we look forward to going back.
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing and so is the service! We highly recommend.
Nobody even seated me. I was completely ignored by all four employees and after ten minutes of waiting I finally gave up and went someplace else.
Great server, online menu was slightly different from actual menu so I didn’t get an entree because I had my heart set on a particular item. Overall, great place, might come back for dinner.
Cocha is a little gem of gastronomy in Baton Rouge! I am a vegan and my spouse is an omnivore. We were both equally delighted with the food and the friendly staff.
We love this place - great vibe and food was fresh and amazing. Drinks were a little slow, but it was packed in there. That was the only suggestion I would make - need another bartender
The food is amazing with a unique combination of flavors that provide a wonderful dining experience. The wine list is unique and they provide great input to help pair your wine with your food, elevating the food experience even further.
Great foods and hospitality! You can taste all the different kinds of countries! I will recommend this restaurant on all occasions that you need to!
Ambiance was perfect for Sunday brunch and Juan was an excellent server!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed EVERYTHING, food service, atmosphere and the music was a great bonus.
Cocoa was absolutely amazing! Everyone was nice and attentive. Will be recommending to others.
Drinks, food and servers were all great. Road noise was a bit distracting but not too bad. Will definitely be back--- Thanks!
Delicious food, great service, lovely owners...such a treat!
I had such a great experience !
I definitely will come back!
My fiancé and I always love coming here. Every dish is prepared with such precision and attention to detail. The flavor creations are amazing. The staff is so polite snd knowledgeable. This is out go to for date night! I highly recommend!
Fantastic food every time. Great server (Robbie) had a very thorough knowledge of the eclectic menu. She recommended the Almond soup and it was fantastic. Don't be scared to try something new here, they never disappoint.
Amazing food and service. Very knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. Very attentive. Honestly the best service I’ve had in a while.
We’ve been to Cocha a few times and loved it every time. Last night we had a table of 7 for our daughter’s 24th birthday. Everything was beautiful and tasted wonderful!!
If I could give them 100 stars ✨ I would! The manager and our waiter went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my birthday a special event! They set us up in a semi-private area and did a fun wine tasting/ pairing with our appetizers and salads (which Juan, our waiter, picked out especially for us)! His knowledge of pairing was absolutely wonderful and his attentiveness was top notch. ALL of the dishes we had were fantastic and tasty and different than the usual stuff that every restaurant has! At cocha, all you have to do is ask and they will try to make it happen for you ❤️
We were there quite late past closing but we were not once rushed out and we were send on our way with smiles and happiness.
Amazing food as always! Everything from the salmon belly tartar to the soup of the day to the Indonesian stir fry noodles with shrimp were fantastic. The dessert for the night was an amazingly light cheesecake with passion fruit on top. Absolutely fantastic! Even better than the food though is the service. Juan, who we have had as our server several other times, truly makes the dining experience. He even remembered the last wine we had (which was a great wine) even though it had been at least 1 month since our last trip to Cocha. Without a doubt, one of the best places to eat in BR.
Great food and atmosphere! Our server, Juan, was outstanding. Pleasant and very informative
Best place in BR!!
We were just passing through town and looking for dinner somewhere close to our hotel. I did not realize it was more of upscale restaurant. We had 2 toddlers with us. But our server was very accommodating and we had a great meal and time. We ordered the charcuterie board for the kids which they loved! And the server even brought out some extra pear slices for them too. I had the grilled octopus and it was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing thru Baton Rouge.
