Wait staff was excellent. Menu limited, off season, but food very tasty.
The food was very good and our server did a great job.
We were staying at Wild Dunes so it was nice to be able to walk to the Boardwalk Inn and dine at Coastal Provisions. The manager, our waitress and all staff were very friendly and accommodating! The food was delicious, but the portions were small for the price. Small portions are great, but not at $32. The dining area was beautiful and comfortable!
Way over priced. Hardly any selections, out of items, waitress gave us bill and never came back. I had to write my room number (it’s a lobby restaurant in a hotel) on the bill. No tip.
Our host & server Dominic was great. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, and we were literally the only 2 people in the dining room. That was fine by us, we loved the quiet and the extra attention. Overall a great first experience! Thanks Coast Provisions
A resort restaurant, food was very expensive for portions and was not as good as off resort restaurants.
Disappointing experience at Coastal Provisions. Went for Restaurant Week, and menu choices were pretty poor. Then had to deal with poor service, cold food and nearby table who decided to drink their dinner (may have been better choice, based on our dinners). Won’t return
The service was very good. Small restaurant so definitely make a reservation. Worth the drive. The decor is modern and welcoming.
We went to take advantage of Restaurant Week and glad we did as it’s a very pricey restaurant otherwise.
We were vacationing at Wild Dunes and figured we’d eat at the resort restaurant one night, however it was nothing like a typical resort/hotel meal. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The decor was very pretty - updated and stylish, and the food as well as the service was outstanding. There were six of us and we all loved our apps, salads and entrees. I’d highly recommend it.
We celebrated our anniversary with a fantastic dinner. The service was superb and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The venison chops and halibut were wonderful and the bread pudding was amazing!
Coastal Provisions is the main restaurant at the Wild Dunes Resort. Had an excellent dinner . Baby kale salad, Brussels sprouts and 8 oz filet were all great.
Breakfast was also excellent.
Service was very attentive and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.
Outstanding restaurant, excellent service and some of the best food we've had at any of the fine Charleston area restaurants.
Delicious!! The oysters were amazing. Wish we had room for dessert but didn't. The biscuits are just amazing too!!
In town for a conference - Delicious meal! Scallops special was amazing
Great Service, Great Atmosphere, Great Food.
Staff were exceptional. Food was very tasty and portion sizes plentiful. Patio seating was very enjoyable. They treated us very well.
The food was very good and beautifully presented. However, the restaurant was half empty, yet it took over an hour to get our food. There were no apologies from our server or no updates as to why the delay. They were clearly understaffed for the evening. We were hoping it was a one-time thing and returned the next morning for breakfast. Breakfast again took almost an hour to be served and we were all served at different times. It was quite a disappointment given the prices.
Great food and awesome service!!
Steaks were amazing!
Was not overly impressed with the food and Very overpriced
Many things went wrong.
1) table wasn't ready even though we turned up early in the evening. Had to wait 5 min to sit down
2) took a long time to get served
3) ordered drinks and took a long time to arrive
4) starters were too big
5) the chop for main course was too fatty and too thick
6) fries were undercooked
7) veg was bland
8) ordered digestives and took server a few times to take the order correctly
9) when we asked for the bill server didn't take our name correctly
10) when the bill arrived it was at the same price you would pay for a restaurant that served good food with good service. Given what we experienced it was very over priced
Overall, a nice restaurant and close to the beach!
We stayed at the Wild Dunes Resort and, as a result, ate at this on-site restaurant. The atmosphere and convenience factor is great. It is by the adults only pool, so great for poolside bites and drinks. The food was just okay though and the service wasn't very attentive, even though it's priced like a 5-star restaurant.
For my special occasion, they comped our breakfast and gave us a bottle of champagne!
We were very pleased with our meal and our service. The halibut special was fabulous and Coastal Provisions was a perfect place to celebrate and not have to leave the resort! Wish we had discovered it earlier in the week.
I wanted to like this restaurant and ate there two nights in a row, but the food was just not good. The first night the restaurant was fairly empty and our food came out luke warm. The second night I had to send the food back because it was very overlooked. It was also Luke warm.
Very good meals
Special was exceptional
Would dine at this restaurant again
Nice and quiet lunch catching up with a friend. Service was excellent, we had burgers which were great.
The food at Coastal Provisions is not very good, and downright bad when you consider the upscale price point. Our waitress was pleasant. My kids ordered Mac n Cheese as an app, which was fine. We got some drinks, ordered, and then waited an hour for our meal to arrive. There were 2 parties in the restaurant (on a Friday night which should have been a sign) unclear what the delay was. My daughters both got steaks which were ok, although average cut quality, bland and at $49 a piece pretty disappointing. My wife and I ordered the Carolina Shrimp. I think there was hamburger meat in the dirty rice, the shrimp were small, again underwhelming. I would save your $ and skip this place. Probably good for cocktails, as the bar was packed.
Excellent meal. Limited options on menu, but everything we had was delicious. Generous portions for "sides".
Excellent service and food. The She crab soup was delicious. The shrimp were grilled perfectly. I will definitely return when visiting the Isle of Palms.
I just didn't think the food was worth the cost of each entree. Service was slow from taking our order to clearing the table. Nice atmosphere, comfortable chairs, but for the money the food was not spectacular.
I and 200 of my closest friends were at Wild Dunes for a conference. Everyone I spoke to shared the same comment. The event staff are fantastic. The rest of the grounds' staff provided some of the worst service we'd ever experienced. An associate and I waited 2 hours for our dinner the first night we arrived. A dinner that was not what I had ordered. The food was just ok. The great news is that it was over-priced. Lucky me!
Cozy fireside seating in a living-room like dining area, charming. Outstanding wait staff, very attentive, not obtrusive. Started the evening with heirloom tomatoes with blue cheese crumbles, we were also served bread with seasoned butter. For the entrees, husband had the swordfish, outstanding! I am vegetarian and enjoyed two sides, broccoli and the squash casserole. Our cocktails were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, I'd recommend the 'Constant Gardner' husband had the 'Lion's mane' and for dessert we split the waiter recommended bourbon pecan pie. Can't wait until our next visit!
One thing to keep in mind is that you have to go through Wild Dunes security which takes 5-10 minutes on a nice weather weekend evening as does waiting for the valet parking. Perfectly pleasant staff, but a bit of a hassle.
A beautiful restaurant with fantastic service. We both enjoyed our dinner. A great place to eat even if you aren't staying at Wild Dunes. Nice firepits outside.
Very nice ambience and delicious food and drinks. Service was a little bit slow but they were apologetic and it did not bother us. Only complaint is that it was a little pricey.
Great breakfast right in the resort. Solid and attentive service. Breakfast can get a little privy but worth it for the ambience and location.
We visited The Boardwalk Inn off season and the restaurant is in the lobby. We ate dinner Friday night when we arrived and the experience was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. The fish was fresh and delicious and the presentation was outstanding making the dishes visually appealing. They had the fireplace going which made it cozy and romantic. Best meal we had all weekend.
The gate agent was rude, arrogant and condescending. Josh, the valet, was charming and wonderful and tried very hard to make us feel welcome. The service was slow and the food was adequate. For the price charged, the experience should have been much more welcoming and filled with southern charm--it was not.
