Amazing food and a great place for our Easter family celebration. Daren was an expert waiter and he made us feel so welcome. I love those crabcakes. My wife said her tortilla soup was the best she has ever had.
Great food, service and ambiance. We can see why this is a very popular restaurant.
Since our first visit when CK first opened until now, there have been giant strides in good quality food and service. A bit noisy on a busy night. We will return
I try something new every time I frequent this restaurant and it never disappoints. On this visit I brought my elderly parents and they so enjoyed it! My mom said it was the prettiest restaurant she’d ever seen. And of course she loved the ribs too!
Went for lunch. 2different salads at our table were both delicious. Ice tea/ lemon aid was ok. Little weak.
Taco app was terrible. Fish was over cooked. Tasted bad. Waiter confided that he gets complaints of overcook. I question the quality as well as general condition of the fish. They did apologize & took it off the bill ( after tax!).
Service was very good various people checked to see how we were doing.
Not a great experience with Alex as a server as she was unattentive and smug. Never smiled once and simply did not take care of our party of 7 in any manner that made us feel welcome. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day, but not at this level of dining. Our split salads came to us with extra plates, not split, and I personally had to eat my Rib-eye, which was delicious, with a butter knife as Alex disappeared and it seemed other servers that passed by all were “heads down”. When the meal was over our check was brought in an abrupt manner and it just felt rushed and not a warm experience. Hope you can find your smile Alex or go work at Chik-Fil-a and learn how to treat customers.
A great destination, particularly on a sunny day, with a bright airy dining room and views of the beach and entrance to Tomales Bay. The service was warm, and our clam chowder was excellent!
Very good food and casual service mostly efficient. Good everyday place fro locals and visitors. This is one of the top DP restaurants, they do a very good job.
Family reunion and birthdays
My wife and I are regulars to Coastal Kitchen, 3 sometimes 4 visits a month. We enjoy the bar area for our dining, which allows us to enjoy the indoor/outdoor feel and sports when when available. The bar area has new chairs that have a nice look but are extremely uncomfortable. I am certain that the expense was substantial, but realize that there are three other seafood restaurants with great food excellent scenery and comfortable bar seating within a 2 mile radius. Please do something to keep your clientele from being annoyingly distracted from your fine fare.
Coastal Kitchen is an awesome venue for celebrating. We h
Food was fine, and server was sweet We had our adult children w us for our 30th Anniversary. Not that we would have eaten a dessert but when we told them it was our anniversary they said “yes we heard”. At the end of our dinner the server brought us a candle stuck to an empty plate. The bill was hundreds of dollars. They have a way to go to cultivate relationships and win loyalty or repeat customers.
We love this restaurant! The place is beautiful, service is consistently great, and the food is exceptional. Brittany Beitz, the GM, always recognizes us and makes us feel like part of the Coastal Kitchen family. You can tell she, and her team, really understand how to execute a great dining experience. A+
We both had the halibut and it was terrific as always! Thank you!!
We loved everything! Our service was awesome.
I was back again with ny sister from NY, always dependable 5 star all the way around
I would recommend as a good place to bring kids. We did an early dinner and it worked out great.
Expensive but very good. Great service nice ambiance. Decorated in very good taste
We had an 18 month old child with us; we were given prompt service, and the food came out quickly.
Food, ambiance and service were all excellent. Good menu and we'll definitely go back.
The service was friendly, however I think 20 minutes is too long after you're seated to take our dinner orders. Other than that, the service was good and the server very friendly and helpful.
As usual, the noise level is quite high in the area we were seated. It didn't help that a large table of men was seated who were having a great time and plenty of cocktails. But we were towards the end of our meal anyway.
I'd certainly recommend this restaurant as the food was great and décor very beachy.
Fantastic food and atmosphere high rating in all respects
Great menu awesome selection of fish, meats, veggies
We had a great meal and an enjoyable time until a large group came in and were noisy. We deliberately sat in a section that we thought would be quiet and it was quiet until the group came in. It was not the fault of the restaurant, but the noise level of a restaurant is important when you're out with friends and want to converse.
Food is always good here. But this time, I asked for ‘no onions’ on my meal. Guess what? The tacos were topped with an salsa that is filled with raw onions. The server never came by to ask how the food was. I guess she didn’t see me try to pick every piece of onion off the tacos. So next time, I just need to make sure that the server is good. Otherwise, it’s always a pleasant experience dining here.
Love dining here
We had a large group of 8. We had the perfect room with our reservations. It was to the side with a large family style table. It was kind of private which was great for seeing our friends from Illinois!
Great food and fast service. Get the chocolate desserts there and the tritip sandwich was superb.
Had to wait about 20 minutes for our table but it wasn’t a problem as we got to sit at the bar . Food was excellent
Coastal Kitchen never fails to delight! The wait staff is always warm, friendly and efficient. The menu is varied enough to provide something “just right” for everyone and every dish is fresh and delicious. I’m looking forward to my next visit already.
Love Coastal Kitchen, always give it rave reviews but they had an off night apparently. Salmon was not it's usual, all else up to par. Will go back for sure but somewhat disappointing.
The food here is great. While not the most imaginative in the area, it is very high quality and delicious. We really enjoyed the cioppino and the crab cakes
Our server Charles was friendly and energetic.
Luv luv this place . It’s a great lunch spot . The drinks are yummy and the food is soo fresh . The servers are super nice (and not bad to look at ) you must try their butter cake it is out of this world.
It was fine but overpriced and somewhat odd menu...didn’t understand why salad couldn’t be split in kitchen...
Excellent service. Good selection of wines. The cocktails were made really well. The trout was delicious.
This was first time dining at Coastal Kitchen. We were a party of three and we all enjoyed our entrees. Our server was excellent and servers worked together as a team. We highly recommend this restaurant. The Ford choices were good too. Thank you
Overall we received good, prompt service. The restaurant was very loud and overpriced. $44 for filet mignon was ridiculous.
The food was good but overpriced for the type of casual dining.
Always a good experience at Coastal Kitchen. Staff was agreeable to turn the music down a notch to a comfortable level. Food was excellent.
Beautiful place for a birthday lunch. Open, cheerful, great attention from our server
Both the Cuisine and ambience were terrific however the service was amateurish and not commensurate with the what the restaurant was all about.
We had multiple servers during our 90 minute stay - one did not know where the other left off - at the end a server brought us our check without even asking if we were interested in dessert.
