Beautiful location, staff and service was great. We got grouper and see bass. The grouper was very overcooked but the sea bass was right. Our shrimp appetizer was both over and under done, the crab cake was excellent. Overall is was fine.

Had dinner at the bar this time. Food and wait staff are always great here, even with bar service. Management jumped behind the bar to help take orders while people were waiting for a table. Many different servers grabbing drinks and clearing plates. Great night yet again!

I had the NOLA broiled oysters; they were so small compared to previous experiences. The chopped sald seemed to have fewer garbanzo beans compared to earlier versions; too much lettuce. Reese is an excellent server and was very attentive throughout the dining experience. Since we were in a booth directly in front of the bar, the noise level was significant. Coastal remains a favorite restaurant of mine and these little glitches are of no real consequence.

While I understand the restaurant was very busy, both the service and the length of time to receive food was extremely slow. For the 4 of us, our full meal took 3 hours. Overall, I was disappointed in the overall experience.

The food and service was spectacular. What a beautiful setting (even though we were in a corner). Only negatives was it was very cold (the air conditioning vent blowing directly on me), and it is a very noisy place. That being said, I will definitely go again.

We had the most amazing time at CFC. Our server Matt was hands down the best server I've ever had at an establishment. He was amazing, the food was amazing, everything was perfect. My team and I will be back again for sure.

We were treated very well for our anniversary. The patio is spectacular but it became very noisy later in our stay. Food was very good. Service was excellent and they comped us sodas and dessert since we don’t drink champagne. The sunset was amazing.

Their wine list is excellent; varied and flexible. Some very good restaurants seem to phone in on the salads. Not so Coastal Fish. Their salads are something to look forward to. Appetizers. Fresh oysters! Maybe the best in Memphis. The Beef Carpaccio? My favorite appetizer in Memphis! The mussels appetizer is amazing. All the entrees are very good. The service is second to none, which I just can’t understand because we have a business and I know how hard it is to find and keep employees right now. The atmosphere is just in a class by itself. Sunsets are amazing. After your meal plan to stroll around the lake. Lovely. Closest thing to a perfect brunch or evening in Memphis.

We had extremely noisy “neighbors” in the high top table section last night which was a bit of a downer but we tried to laugh it off. Our server Grace was excellent!!!!

Anniversary dinner at Coastal. Heard great things recently and the experience did not disappoint. Sat on the patio in a late summer night and the sunset was perfect. Super friendly staff. They offered us a complimentary sparkling wine for our occasion. My wife had the scallops, I the sea-bass. Both were very good. Started off with an outstanding crab cake in an amazing roasted pepper sauce. Finished with the house made Key Lime Pie - a winner. The place was packed and there was a large event in the event center next door. Yet the noise was normal restaurant level and everything arrived in proper order with no delays. Will definitely be coming back.

Coastal Fish is always our go-to place for special occasions. We were celebrating my 85th birthday with friends on this recent visit. Service was absolutely perfect! Food wise, having ordered the crab claws as I had on a visit in June, I must admit they were not quite as yummy as before. (I do have the impression there can be a quality issue with crab products.) However, this was a minor blip. Both last evening, and in June, we were seated in the smaller end area of the porch which was ideal. Even with my old age hearing deficit, I had no trouble with surrounding noise. Thank you for seating us there!

To be honest, I do not eat fish, but my dinner companions love it. We have eaten here many times and I always get Aunt Thelma’s chicken. It is amazing. The menu has changed and the new chicken dish was very disappointing. The chicken was dry and had little to no flavor. The vegetables were good, only because I love vegetables. Nothing was added during their preparation. It was a huge disappointment. I have reservations September 30 to celebrate a friend’s birthday who loves fish and picked Coastal Fish. So my hope is there will be another much improved chicken dish on the menu. Or even better, bring Aunt Thelma’s fried chicken back.

We visited Coastal Kitchen for the second time this weekend. We made a reservation for 2 on the patio. The weather was perfect, the service by Layla, outstanding and the food was delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi Melt, outstanding! If you have not visited Coastal Kitchen, put in on your list!

Very loud difficult to carry on conversation at table. The meal was ok. Scallops were heavily salted, almost too much to eat. The grilled veggies didn’t look like they ever touched a grill. In all, still nice location, staff pleasant and good place to get away and relax.
