Coastal Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed all the food very much. It was a bit confusing around the restaurant since they are under construction. We will have to go back once all the work is done to see if everything flows easier. The outdoor DJ played good music although it was a little too loud for table conversations.
Ouch, the place is going through a renovation. I wish we had known before I selected this for our anniversary dinner.
We chose to dine inside because it was humid out, and the lighting on the outside deck is almost non existent due to Fort Lauderdale restrictions on the outside lighting.
The server was friendly, but clearly has no fine dining experience. The staff treated the inside dinging area as their wait station, hollering orders to the bar and kitchen. It ruly was a bit caotic, but surprisingly the food was very good.
Unfortunately our experience at the Atlantic Bar and Grill was very disappointing. The food was mediocre and the service was very slow although the restaurant was not busy at all. In addition, the valet was very, very slow although they did not seem too busy either.
Really nice waitstaff, who are professionally developed to ask diners' names and spend time at the table. Made a positive difference because I didn't especially like the cocktails I ordered--not their attempt at "their own" Cosmopolitan nor the classic Cosmo. The former was like soda pop, way too much soda and lost in ice cubes in a mix glass. All wrong. And the Classic had some other something added that took it off course. But my wait staff made me keep it all in perspective. The swild salmon on a plank was good.
Outstanding establishment that met almost every expectation. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner; Anthony, our waiter, never missed a beat and appeared whenever we glanced for assistance. The food: wonderful! The snapper was well prepared and seasoned to perfection, while the short rib and mashed melted off the plate and in your mouth. The only negative: the Plates were physically to small for the food to be displayed grandly. Overall a wonderful experience and at a price that did not represent the superior service and food.
Location is perfect. Food was...okay, not spectacular. Our waiter was lovely, but the service unbelievably slow, and complicated by both a lack of awareness of what options were actually on the menu, as well as a lack of cleanliness before we came in (such that we were sat at a table that still had all kinds of junk from the previous diners, and it took forever for them to clear it and give us fresh glasses.) the water front view does make up for a litany of issues, but the crummy service and expensive but "eh" food makes me think there are better options.
Mother's Day Brunch-- too expensive for the quality of the buffet.
Brunch on the beach is an experience. I understand this is the high rent district & they have to cover their costs.
Also, I have been to the Atlantic Grill before several times and enjoyed it.
At half the price would have been worth it. Because of this experience I would hesitate to return. Although, I probably will give them another chance for dinner.
Sorry to be negative; but the fact is the Buffet was too expensive -- albeit, it was Mother's Day-- for the quality of the food.
Sorry, for being honest.
The Mediterranean Salad was delicious. This restaurant has a nice scenic view of the beach, if you decide to dine alfresco. Service was a little inconsistent. My server could've been more attentive. He disappeared for awhile...had to ask another server for a drink refill, condiments, etc. Restaurant adds gratuity to the bill. This means your server will get a tip, even if the service is subpar.
The food was excellent we had the jerk chicken spring rolls, the meatballs and we split the pulled pork pizza. The service was fine. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is that we sat on the patio and it was fine at first but then about 10 min into our meal a dj set up with some singers and was obnoxiously loud. Dj and singers them selves were fine except twice he dropped the f word and there were children there. It would've been fine if it weren't 6 pm. I could understand may 9pm. But during dinner was inappropriate. You couldn't talk to each other which made for a bad experience. If I wanted to scream to my husband I would've went to a bar. In the time that they started playing I watched 4 tables sit down and immediately leave and 1 table even cancelled their order and just paid for their drinks and left. It was very obtrusive. If it weren't for that this place would've gotten 5 stars.
We went for Easter Brunch and had a great time!! The server could have sold at least another drink or 2 had he been paying attention. Also, there were 2 drinks that were left virtually untouched due to them not being liked. The server pretend not to notice or care? Other than that, the food was fantastic and the ambiance was up beat. Once the whole restaurant was seated, it became quite noisy, but that doesn't tend to bother me. The hostesses and bar staff were very nice as well! I could only afford this place for special occasions (6 people ran $500 for brunch), but the view was unparalleled and the food was fantastic and I love being with my family, so occasionally it's worth it :)
We had a wonderful brunch. The food was very well prepared and presented. The grapefruit juice was fresh and delightful. We had the egg white omelette and avocado toast with fruit. The food was perfect for starting our day. Only thing I would suggest is to include free valet service for the restaurant.
We had high hopes for the Atlantic Grill... unfortunately, it let us down. Big time. The little bit of food we did get was good. Other food that was being brought out looked good as well. The service is what really let us down. Out dining with two kids and our server came over to our table twice in 45 minutes. We had an appetizer (Caribbean Spring Rolls) and a chicken finger kids meal. On top of it all they had the nerve to add an automatic 18% gratuity. So I had them remove it and we left. It wasn't even that busy in the restaurant. I would not recommend dining here.
A huge step up from previous "beauty and the feast", better service, better food and a slight price
Increase but totally worth it! Beach local and have been before but wasn't on my go to brunch list but will be now! Better than Shooters, Burlock Coast, and others. Very glad I gave Atlantic another try bc previously wasn't what it is now! Keep up the change and the quality!
