Oceanfront Easter Sunday Brunch with the Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt and a expanded Sunday Brunch. 10 AM - 3 PM

Staff seem harried and confused. Automatic 18% gratuity on a table of 4 was a bit off-putting.
The view outside was beautiful but the traffic noise is deafening. Our server was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Here is part of our conversation: Me: “How is the Amalfi Shrimp prepared?” Server: “It’s cooked.” Me: “Exactly how is it cooked?” Server: “In a pan.” This was not a joke! It was all down hill from there. The food was mediocre at best. What really angers me is that a 18% service charge is automatically added to your check. We are generous tippers when it is deserved, but there is no way we would have left the amount of tip that was added to our bill for very poor service and food. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back!
We wanted to try this restaurant since it was new. We are locals to Fort Lauderdale Beach and like to support local restaurants. We ordered several items to share. We had the Amalfi shrimp as a starter which was okay, nothing special about it. Then we shared the Ricotta Gnocchi which was outstanding, best gnocchi we have had in South Florida. We had also ordered the vegetable piadina which we ended up taking home and enjoying the next day. It was delicious, outstanding crust. We met the Manager, Mark, he was excellent and very knowledgeable about their wine menu. We enjoyed a nice Super Tuscan, Veneroso, made with organic grapes. Overall it was a fabulous experience and we will definitely return.
Great breakfast! Outstanding service, but the bananas foster French toast was amazing. Outside seating was very nice.
Didn't know they include an 18% 'service charge' in your bill but saw it mentioned in very small type on the bottom of the menu. The bill also leaves a space for 'gratuity' and last time we went I tipped on top of this! Not this time. We decided to give Coastal another try. Ate inside and the A/C was really cold, so take a jacket. Food was good this time as was the service, but the built in 18% service charge bothered me. The clams with spaghetti was excellent as was their chicken meal.
Sandwiches were good. Outdoor seating was nice
Great food and great service. Had a fun evening will definitely be back again and again.
Not on water, it is on the 4 lane Ft. Lauderdale Blvd Across from the Beach, it is in a hotel. Abience is nice, food was good, menu more new age Italian, not old Italian
Free valet parking for restaurant patrons which was nice. We ate outside this night, facing the traffic which added to the noise that everyone was talking loud, even yelling when motor cycles went by. There was only one inside table with people and the outside area was full...too full that I had to ask someone to move his chair to let me out. Coastal winds made it feel colder than the temperature...there were two heaters on but not enough.
The waiter mixed up two items on our meals...including serving us an incorrect dessert. Also had to ask them to take our dishes away and to get the bill. Food wasn't very good...won't be going back. Cost was about $100 for the two of us. This restaurant was called Beauty and the Feast a year ago, and something else before that.
Best Sunday brunch in town. Food is outstanding All you can drink mimosas bloody marys, bellinis, and screwdrivers for only a little extra. Victoria is the greatest bartebder server on the beach! Oh and ya can't beat the ocean view!
A great place for brunch with a view of the ocean. One of my favorites!
Absolutely loved Coastal. My husband & I were on vacation at Ft. Lauderdale Beach and found this gem! We sat on the porch and had a relaxing , wonderful dinner with the perfect ocean front view.
The manager Richard L. Was great, Autherine and Pamela were both amazing host and made sure my reservation process was smooth. Loved this restaurant.
My girlfriend and I tried the restaurant in the Atlantic Hotel next to the Conrad on the Beach for dinner one night after checking for the closest Italian chef. It was a little noisy during cocktail hour, so we chose to fine al fresco, enjoying an amazing ocean front view at dusk. We were pleasantly suprised by our knowledgable server Geo, who slowed the pace of our dinner with friendly stories of each specialty dish on the menu. Warmly kind and encouraging, we took his reccommendations. We were rewarded with the best meal we experienced on this trip. You'll be thrilled with their specialty dish, Red Snapper served with roasted sweet peppers over a bed of sauteed kale. Its incredible! The delicious fresh baked bread was served with a huge baked garlic clove in extra virgin olive oil. Try the extra large meatball appetizer for a treat! Scallops were a 10. Finish your meal with their decadant chocolate mousse cake served with a generous scoop of Nutella ice cream. Yum! The manager stopped by to ensure our total satisfaction. We assured him we would return. Great for foodies!
Loved Coastal! Amazing bottomless drinks, and a cool brunch buffet, live music and delicious small plates. Loves the salmon eggs Benedict and bananas Foster French toast!
First off, the food was great but this is about all this place has going for it. It was a windy stormy evening so everyone was inside and the decibel level was just unreal. I cannot believe that they have not installed some panels, curtains, carpet, anything to absorb the noise. Two people in my party, independently of each other, commented that it felt like a cafeteria. The waiters were a pain. They kept introducing each other and then they switched out and we got someone else again. Also they were very pushy about getting their food orders in. They pressured us to order before they even brought our wine and drinks. I ordered a margarita and they forgot about it. My husband's main course, which was the special of the day, was also forgotten. My friends' clam pasta was very salty. All in all not a stellar experience.
My favorite brunch spot in Ft. Lauderdale. Awesome food, delicious bunch that’s not overpriced, and gorgeous view. Victoria bartender/waitress is awesome.
food was great. waitress Jasmine was awesome! location was perfect and we enjoyed dining on the patio
We enjoyed our dinner very much.
Great food and drinks, beautiful and comfortable for Sunday brunch. Live music was great too! we would definitely go back again.
Don't like the mandatory gratuity but otherwise pretty good.
Dinner was fantastic!!! Had the yellowtail snapper and appetizer special. The only thing I can say is they need to update the restaurant. Feels like a typical restaurant in a hotel instead of a special place. The quality of the food and service requires that unique, trendy feeling. So glad we went. Food exceeded our expectations.
Octopus was probably the best I've had in years - perfectly cooked, very flavorful sauce with lots of rich flavors. The milanese fish was basically a large, firm filet covered in bread crumbs and fried - too think of a filet and too thick of breading to be great. The seafood chowder had a single piece of identifiable fish - the soup part was great - just missing the seafood. They add gratuity automatically matter the size of the party but dont point it out - can imagine they gets tipped double a lot.
Delicious food, made in a timely fashion, pleasant staff, just felt like my meal was missing a little “something.” Would definitely return for another meal.
We ate at Coastal 3 days out of our 7 day vacation because the food was outstanding and the outdoor table street-side was fun! We would recommend the veal dishes.
Food was great. The restaurant is very loud. Slow service, but nice staff. Self serve wine.
Slow service. Bar drinks were watered down. Tasted funny too.
Nice environment, good service, food quality fine, but would have liked to see a few lunch entrees that would have been smaller portions of some of the dinner menu offerings.
It was just ok. Best part was the delightful Jamaican hostess who seated me. I was disappointed with the food. Soup had a strange aftertaste, edamame was on the cold side and so were the clams. I was disappointed because it was my birthday dinner.
We enjoyed all the food very much. It was a bit confusing around the restaurant since they are under construction. We will have to go back once all the work is done to see if everything flows easier. The outdoor DJ played good music although it was a little too loud for table conversations.
Ouch, the place is going through a renovation. I wish we had known before I selected this for our anniversary dinner.
We chose to dine inside because it was humid out, and the lighting on the outside deck is almost non existent due to Fort Lauderdale restrictions on the outside lighting.
The server was friendly, but clearly has no fine dining experience. The staff treated the inside dinging area as their wait station, hollering orders to the bar and kitchen. It ruly was a bit caotic, but surprisingly the food was very good.
Unfortunately our experience at the Atlantic Bar and Grill was very disappointing. The food was mediocre and the service was very slow although the restaurant was not busy at all. In addition, the valet was very, very slow although they did not seem too busy either.
Really nice waitstaff, who are professionally developed to ask diners' names and spend time at the table. Made a positive difference because I didn't especially like the cocktails I ordered--not their attempt at "their own" Cosmopolitan nor the classic Cosmo. The former was like soda pop, way too much soda and lost in ice cubes in a mix glass. All wrong. And the Classic had some other something added that took it off course. But my wait staff made me keep it all in perspective. The swild salmon on a plank was good.
Consistently outstanding service. Fourth visit and every time, absolutely exceptional staff.
Love this place.
What an amazing place, excellent service and a high quality brunch. Too bad it was raining we sat inside , but decor is really nice.
I loved it overall. However, I am disappointed that there have been 3 holds for the amount of brunch on my credit card since Sunday. I don't understand why these charges haven't fallen off and are making funds unavailable.
Food was excellent. The service was horrible and the timing of the food being served was off. Took 30 minutes to get out appetizers and as soon as they came out they also brought us our entrees.
Good food but pricey. Service was good. Right across from the beach. Good for a special occasion. Try the crab cakes
