Perfectly portioned food that achieved textural and flavorful harmony, something we could say about every dish, halibut, lobster risotto must have. And the service: warm, authentic, attentive, everything you could hope for...Coast is a gem and whatever comes next will be just as exceptional, if not more.
Fantastic !! What a great place for a nice glass of wine and a bite to eat. The mussels were sooooo good. My main course was linguine with clams also great!! Service was on point and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. The bartender was a really nice guy who suggested a nice wine and kind of talked me into a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert, that capped off a great meal 😄😄 THANKS COAST .... I'LL BE BACK SOON
I had high hopes for an amazing meal with my wife after reading all the 4+ star ratings. However, my experience was very average tasting seafood that you can buy anywhere. Non organic farmed salmon
or sole were the only fish options. Nothing different or creative on the entire menu. For a high rated fish restaurant to not have wild seasonal or locally caught fish such as stripped bass or blackfish was a big disappointment for me.
Great seasonal decoration and amazing food. Highly recommend … wish I could have eaten more because everything was delicious , great service as well
Excellent!!! The dining room was full so I sat at the bar. At first I was worried that the service was going to be slow, But I was wrong . I was greeted by a very friendly bartender named Andrew who quickly took my drink order suggesting a very nice wine and told me about the days specials which were all delicious . I started with a Toro tartar that was the best I've ever had, followed by a simply scrumptious nice fresh Bronzino with a lemon caper sauce. I finished up with a chocolate martini and the dessert special which was one of my all time favorites, Creme Brulee. As I stated earlier I thought the service was going to be slow, But everything was perfectly timed and Dee -licous !!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. THANKS COAST FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT 😘😘😘
It was my first time and I really like it. Lobster seafood ristto and octopus are tender and tasty. The staff were really accommodating and very helpful. The atmosphere was very nice. I would definitely go back. I am really glad that I tried it, however, very loud.
This was a terrible experience. Outdoor seating was nonexistent; heaters didn’t work. Waiters were unprofessional and rude. We drove an hour for a meal and left after having a glass of water. The place was dirty and disorganized. What a difference compared to few years ago.
The inside looked fine, but we choose to dine outdoors. Good heat lamps. Good food. Friendly service.
Really good. Surprisingly small crowd. Terrific oysters, sashimi and scallops. Service was polite and prompt. We shall return.
Excellent staff and tasty food
They did forget that we were celebrating my Mom’s 98th birthday but that was a small oversight
Went on a quiet Tuesday night for my husbands birthday. Tuna tartare and mussels for apps. Both very good. Some of the mussels fell apart but that happens. Lobster risotto and waygu burger for dinner. Risotto was great. Burger wasn’t memorable. Drinks great. Service excellent. Will be back.
Extraordinary food! The lobster seafood risotto was an outstanding recommendation and must have. The pulpo and duck were perfect size, flavor and happiness. I will definitely be coming here again and next time with the fam. Yum!
We had another great experience. Liz was our server and she was very attentive and sweet. She also remembered us from prior visits at this restaurant. We like outdoor dining here at early fall with nice water pond view. Chilean seabass is actually very good.
Our server Sender was helpful and friendly. Menu was varied and the seafood was fresh and delicious. Even their filet mignon was done just right. The Alaska cod was very tasty. Drinks were generous and reasonable. They
have enough heaters to keep us warm outside . It's great for outdoor dining even when quite cold. We will go back even during the winter.
What a great place ! Service was excellent ,food was GREAT.!! We had a nice fresh oyster sampler , awesome Alaskan Cod special and an out of this world seafood risotto. Dessert was also very nice with a special Creme Brulee. Highly recommend this place if you have not been there yet 😉
We have the best time at dinner that I think I’ve ever had!! Our server was adorable ,delicious food and fresh sushi and rock shrimp tempura Love the seafood risotto to be honest I love everything about the place and definitely we coming back again it was the best experience ever .
First time dining here even though it's been on "the list" for a while. We had a wonderful dinner with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Impressed by the menu, service and delicious wine list. Their scallops are super !
Food was not good. It looked like it was microwaved. Terrible food
High hopes! Not met.
Sadly the food doesn’t match the list belt setting outside. It was mediocre at best. Disappointed!
Food was disappointing. Vegetable rolls for appetizer was ridiculous. Lettuce and cucumber was the majority of roll. No taste at all. Like Nguni with clam sauce tasteless. Filet of sole was drowned in a mediocre sauce. Yellow fin tuna was pretty good.
Service was poor.
Ate outside on terrace which overlooks a pond
Will go again
I like the outdoor deck and it has a great prize fixe for lunch
Food was exceptionally bad and overpriced. Edamame was stale salad was not fresh and neither was the fish. I would not recommend this place to anyone .
They do a nice job
This place is my favorite for seafood in this area . Saturday night was one our greatest experiences, awesome new cocktails , great soft shell crab appetizer, and the entrees were done to perfection as always . We finished with a delicious piece of cheesecake drizzled in strawberry sauce.mmmm Dee- lish
Good food and service. A little buggy outside but great value and a nice place.
Enjoying their Happy Hour menu. We are very happy to sit outdoor under their tent with peaceful pond view. Nice spot !
We had a great time at dinner tonight . The seafood rissotto at this place is my favorite my wife loves the yellow fin tuna. We both had a soft shell crab appetizer one fried and one sauteed both were delicious. The service was very good as usual. Great wine selection and new cocktail menu . I had a coconut mojito cocktail that blew my mind. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
my experience here was amazing, beautiful scenery and great service, bilingual servers were highly appreciated. I enjoyed a casamigo spicy margarita and my friend had a tropical mojito which we both loved and finished quickly. For our appetizer we shared grilled Portuguese octopus and we wiped the plate clean! Lobster seafood risotto was exquisite and the bouillabaisse was tasty. Were definitely returning and highly recommend Coast Seafood!
Still one of my favorite places in Greenwich. The terrace feels very pretty with all the flowers, offers beautiful atmosphere than in winter. Very busy night, but the service is very attentive. I love their new cocktail menu, coconut mojito is the best ever. Lobster bisque you must have, lobster squid ink pasta is so delicious. Great dinner!
It is always consistent... The food, the courteous staff, make it a neighborhood go to...
We had delicious lunch at Coast. Love their outdoor setting, beautiful flowers with water pond view, warm breeze. The service is excellent, I like their sparkling blood orange margarita, I ordered again. Their soft shell crab is yummy, crispy outside , soft inside. Next time I will try their soft shell crab entree. Also I will recommend their salmon summer roll, very very good, best in town. We will come back very soon!
This place is awful. My wife and I went here for Mother’s Day today, we booked a reservation days in advance. Despite the reservation, we waited half an hour for a table; they were very disorganized. After finally being seated we waited 15 minutes for drinks and then over 30 minutes for our waitress to take our order. After she took our order she said she was leaving the restaurant for the day, mid-service. We waited ANOTHER HOUR before I waved a different waiter over asking about our food. He went back to check, came back and reported she never placed our order, and that she “is sick and went home”. We walked out hungry with nothing but an apology. There were half a dozen other tables near us also waiting for food that had been there longer than us.
This is my wife’s first Mother’s Day and this will be a lasting negative impression. Do not eat here!
We are never dining here again. First off, the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. We waiting 10 minutes before a host seated us. When we were told where we would be seated, the table wasn’t even cleared. We had a reservation for 7 and they squeezed us in a table meant to seat 4. It took us another 20 minutes before the waiter who happened to be the host plus bus boy took our drink order. Took another 15 minutes for the drinks to come and then when it came time to taking our order he was sold out of half the stuff on the menu. Overall really terrible experience and will not be coming back. I don’t recommend Coast to anyone.
Food was really good. Service was a bit hap hazard. We went at 4pm for late lunch/early dinner on Mother’s Day with a price fix. Great selection on the menu but they were already out of a couple of items even tho they’d be open for later dinner service. Eg one of the 4 deserts (warm chocolate brownie) was no longer available and another desert which was supposed to be served with berries came without - when questioned they said they were out. The tablecloth was clean but barely covered the end of the table and our flower centerpiece was mostly stems (see pic). At $50 a head I guess I’d expect a little more effort. All that being said, the food really was very good, so I would go again, tho perhaps with some lower expectations.
Another very good meal at Coast. Was able to sit outside and only knock on experience was not good service. Thankfully the food to date makes up for the marginal service
I was actually shocked at how bad this restaurant was, given the location and the menu.
Service - really bad. We had an 8pm reservation and the host seemed really confused by our arrival and asked us what time it was. It took at least 10 minutes to get seated, and the restaurant was not at all full. Also - the host was wearing his mask beneath his nose! Then, there seemed to be a lot of confusion around who our waiter was. We never received a bread basket (other tables had one) and had to request plates for our appetizer and silverware.
Food - really terrible. We ordered 5 different dishes. The only decent one was the shrimp cocktail - which is pretty hard to mess up. The dumplings were terrible (I could have made better ones from the Trader Joe’s frozen aisle), salad was literally a small pile of arugula with a drop of dressing, mussels were gross. The shishito peppers were fine, but again, hard to mess up.
Definitely won’t be returning. It honestly hurt my soul to hand over my credit card for that bill.
Awful experience- My friend and i were seated a half hour after our reservation and then told to wait to order because the kitchen was backed up. Our reservation was at 7, we recieved our entrees at 8:45. The waitor hardly checked on us. At dessert, we were rushed out by the wait staff. Had we been seated and served on time, we would of finished our dessert and drinks at a normal time. They rudely kept trying to take the check when we were still eating and drinking and i had not filled in the tip yet. Towards the end of the night it was cold and they kept the door to the outside open at all times, despite us asking for it to be closed.
Great food. Server was a bit ambivalent.
Wonderful overall experience. Great local find. The food is delicious...solid menu items and specials with something for everyone. Service is attentive. Visit once and I am sure this restaurant will be in your regular rotation.
