Our server Monica was not very attentive. We stayed at The Montecito Inn last month for 5 nights, of which we ate here 3 of the 5. We loved the experience. This time, however, the service was poor and the food was just ok.
Limited brunch menu on the Sunday we are there. We have gluten allergy and little to offer other than egg dishes .
Our server Shannon was really nice. The food is subpar.
Seth was enthusiastic and attentive. His support staff made sure that we were all well taken care of. The food was delicious!
Came here for a birthday brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Had the blue crab cake Benedict and smoked salmon Benedict. Both outstanding. Will be back next time we’re in town!
First time visiting Coast & Olive, absolutely splendid experience. The food was amazing, service and ambiance. Highly recommend a visit.
Coast and Olive is a gem in Montecito. The service is outstanding and the food is wonderful. Everyone I have taken there enjoys it very much.
Great service and our meals were delicious. Lovely setting even on the street.
We chose to sit outside so understood it would be noisy with traffic. Food was excellent and service was good. it is a little pricy.
Wonderful restaurant in the heart of Montecito simply loved it !!
Good place, good food and outstanding staff!
I booked an outdoor table via Open Table and received a confirmation. When we arrived at the restaurant we were about 25 minutes early and were seated inside - not outside. I reminded the hostess that the reservation was for an outdoor table - of which there were at least 3 empty ones. She brought the manager over who told us that the outdoor tables were on a first come first serve basis. However - that is not what the Open Table site said. Open Table distinctly said that INDOOR seating was on a first come basis. My friend was not happy with the managers attitude and wanted to leave - but I insisted on staying. Within 5 minutes the manager came to the table and offered to move us to the outdoor table - which by now, there were at least 5 empty tables. I've been to Coast & Olive three times before and never had an issue booking a reservation via Open Table. I wish the experience had been better for my friend. .....But despite the drama - the food was delicious.
Popcorn and fresh baked bread to get your appetite started. Duo dip paired with Montejito was a great introduction. We enjoyed the Truffle Pappardelle pasta dish and Wagyu Steak. The chocolate tart didn’t disappoint as well. Come and you’ll enjoy the ambiance and hospitality of the servers and your meal. Thank you Coast and Olive.
Loved the vegan salad, trout and salmon.
Traffic can be loud in the outdoor setting.
I ordered a burger medium with Mayo. It came well done with no Mayo. However the fries were well above average and in good quantity.
Our server was so enthusiastic and just delightful. He could not have been more helpful and his joyful spirit added to our overall experience. Food was amazing too!
Amazing food and attentive service, without being obtrusive.
The food was amazing! Pasta extraordinare. Our waitperson "Drea" was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Sitting outside, the only downside was street noise, but the food and fun drinks made it great.
We thought there was a good variety of choices on the menu. Everything we ordered was fresh, well presented and delicious. The staff was particularly helpful and cheery. We felt the menu was well priced. We had a delightful evening.
We had a family dinner outside at Coast and Olive. Really wonderful staff, great food and a fun location. We would definitely return and recommend Coast and Olive to friends.
Excellent food. Excellent friendly service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was spot-on with all her recommendations. Though, I believe we could have ordered anything on the menu and it would have been fantastic. A great dining experience.
We sat in the outside dining area close to the street but hardly noticed the cars driving by. We will be returning to Coast & Olive the next time we visit Montecito.
Strange menu and no specials. Some excellent dishes and some fair dishes. Would have to sample more items before deciding on recommending.
This place has great ambience. Everyone enjoyed his/her dish, even my 5 and 7 year olds! It is true, like other previous reviews, the hostess is not the most friendliest. We were told that all the out door seatings are booked and we were not specific about my seating choice when we made the reservation. The truth is, I don’t think you can request outdoor seating through OpenTable app. Anyhow, our waitress was nice and friendly and the food was delicious!
The staff that greeted us was very rude and exasperated when we didn’t want to sit at the indoor table. This was my second experience with a rude hostess at this restaurant. The food was good, certainly not amazing. For the price I expected more. The ambiance was beautiful and our server Saul was wonderful.
Food and server were fantastic. We had a early 5:15pm reservation for a 25th anniversary, and even though there were many tables available outside we were told they were full. Our table was against a post and our chairs were literally 8 inches behind people sitting in the bar stools. Very noisy and people sitting right on top of you. Not the intimate anniversary dinner I was hoping for. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, drinks, and service - A+. The bar seating - not so much - and there were still tables outside empty when we left….
I was very happy with the food but the service and the cocktails still need a little work. The hostess was sweet but seemed disorganized and seated all the incoming tables in the same section instead of spreading them evenly through the dining room. Our waiter was trying his best but several groups were seated back to back in his section so our party of two was kind of left out. The food was hot and flavorful and we were happy but the drinks were very watery and bland. Would go back again but just because the food was so good.
Great brunch location, good menu variety, seating either indoors or curbside.
Sunday brunch- crab cake Benedict = one hard boiled egg and one properly poached egg + Crab cakes absolutely 100% cold inside. One order of salmon guacamole toast = forgotten & missed by kitchen. Coffee order forgotten. Bottomless mimosas ordered and because the kitchen failed so miserably the waitress seemed overwhelmed and never made it back until we were ready for the check. The restaurant did adjust the check accordingly, but frankly I’d rather have a better experience than a discount. A sad start to a birthday. Manager never checked on us, not even after the 3rd or 4th fail. Kind of sad really.
Ordinary food, a few dishes are quite good. Service was fine after we finally got a servers attention. A lot of help standing around doing nothing, waiting for water glasses to need refilling. Outside ambiance is quiet pleasant though a real floor to voter what was the street would have been nice.
Great spot for our bachelorette dinner!
Crabcake benedict is divine! Felipe was an ever -attentive waiter—the best!
Lovely spot ambiance and service
Sadly food was very very poor for brunch.
Your staff has great energy and the food presentation was nothing short of a piece of artwork!
Our bartender (also our server) was great. Host was very professional and accommodating. The restaurant was beautiful in and outside. Menu looked promising but the food was not great. Stone fruit salad was under dressed. My dungeoness crab risotto was good, not great.
Lovely afternoon lunch.
Good food, nice service, pretty location. Easy to find parking.
We sat outside which was great. The good was good. The service was terrible. They were understaffed, because of Covid, and our server did her best.
Brought my Senior Step-Mother to lunch, never been here before. Sitting outside, traffic was way too loud and heavy (Coast Village Rd). Food was good, and priced appropriately (for Montecito). Overall, staff was great!
Great food and service
Pork chop was perfect!!
Great place for a family birthday dinner
