Coast and Main Seafood and Chophouse
Absolutely fantastic!! Food, drinks, cost, service, servers!! A hidden gem in Monoreville!!
We were very comfortable in the restaurant. We actually felt like we were in downtown Pittsburgh. The ambiance was very Enjoyable. We definitely will tell our friends about Coast and Main Seafood and Chop house. We will return.
Special dinner for out of town family.
Excellent service from Kassie
Food was fabulous!!
Friendly wait staff, and outstanding chef. Food was superb and the tempura onion ring that came with the onion soup was a delicious touch. Filets were done perfectly and the house made key lime pie with homemade whipped cream was off the charts yummy.
Great food and service.
Our starters --the beet/pear stack and the smoked salmon chowder-- were very good. The entrees were just average. The stuffed shrimp were plated on top of a generous portion of mashed potatoes, with the potatoes overpowering the shrimp. The first steak had a considerable amount of gristle, and while the second steak was better, it too had more gristle than one would expect for the price.
Service was good, staff friendly and food was excellent.
The staff was friendly and professional. The food was outstanding!
Our meal and service was fantastic. My 12oz filet was very good and done perfectly. A little pricey but I didn't expect it to be cheaper. My wife had Chilean Sea Bass with hazlenut crust and it was amazing. The best I have eaten around Pittsburgh especially for the portion size. The crab bisque was also so good. Highly recommend this place.
We and our guests were very please d. Our second visit and it was great!
Excellent food, excellent quality, well priced. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent. We had fillet mignon and a swordfish dish. Both were cooked perfectly. Arrived hot on warm plates. We also shared a spinach souffle which was tasty. Had their chocolate sundae which was also great, best part was a slice of flourless chocolate cake stuck in the top. Waitress was knowledgeble, attentive, plesent.
A very friendly atmosphere. The service was just perfect not to mention the food. It was outstanding. I had a salmon preparation that I had never had before and now I can’t wait to go back so I can have it again.
Great food great place and location, will certainly go again.
Great service, food, and portions. Definitely worth it! They have a return customer in me
Great new restaurant and the food was delicious. The lunch menu was a very good value
The food was no where near the expectation that we had in mind. Boring menu. No specials. Nothing over the top as far as taste. Nothing was bad...just, meh...
Birthday desert was excellent!
Our evening at Coast & Main was amazing. It was our first time. The food was stellar. It’s hard to find a place who can cook a Pittsburgh rare steak perfect. Our server went above and beyond to help and explain the menu. I have several food issues and he was more than helpful. Thank you for a great evening out with my family. We will definitely be back.
My boyfriend very kind & personable, knew the menu very well, and was super attentive but not overwhelmingly so. The food was incredible. I had the 16oz baked lobster tail, which was HUGE! Definitely the best lobster I’ve ever had in Pittsburgh. My boyfriend got the filet mignon with the fig & shallot topping, which was very unique and delicious. We shared sides of mashed potatoes and broccolini and both were very good, especially the mashed potatoes. The manager also came around and interacted with the tables and was very nice. We will definitely be recommending Coast and Main to others and will be back! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner special.
Good food, steak was done just the way I like it. My wife had the Tuna Napoleon which she said was outstanding. We wish the business well.
The atmosphere is beautiful. The service was grand. The food was Delicious!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Is a awesome atmosphere. Would be great to have a small group or band play some live music.
Excellent upscale restaurant without having to go to Pittsburgh.
Quick service knowledgeable staff and a great overall experience. We will be going back.
Great drinks from the bar and fantastic seafood!! Chef Ricky is always on top of his game. Whole place has a good vibe!
The food was delicious! Service was amazing. They even have a bar section for you to drop in, looks great for appetizers and drinks.
Awesome food and cocktails. Be prepared to not eat it all
Creative take on several dishes. Oyster Rockefeller was delicious topped with fresh spinach. Hazelnut crusted Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly executed with great texture and the right doneness. Surf and turf —- delicious. Overall a great meal with soothing ambiance. Owner Chef Rick was very hospitable and friendly.
My husband is a chef and loved it. I always have high expectations and I loved it.
Food was excellent. Best oysters we have had in quite a while. The filet was tender and perfectly cooked. We had a great meal.
Service could use a little work. It was by no means bad. Our server was very nice and attentive. But when paying this much for a meal, you expect things to be a little more refined, greater knowledge of the menu,a bit more formality, etc.
Also, the bar program could have seen a little beefing up as well, but that is obviously not a focus here.
All in all would definitely recommend. One of the better overall nights out we have had, particularly in the Eastern suburbs.
This was my first time to visit Coast and Main Seafood and Chophouse. My husband and I truly enjoyed every thing that we ordered. The bernaise sauce for my filet was fantastic. Our server Robin was excellent! Couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable night out.
Very nice atmosphere. Quiet. But I thought the food was only slightly above average for the price.
Delicious crab cake and immaculate service. Seated quickly and very attentive.
Our server Casey was awesome! Food was delicious!
Excellent service, excellent food, especially the bone marrow appetizer
Everything was fantastic! Except we had a bad table!
A superb experience. It’s been awhile since we’ve dined at a place where both the service and food quality were of top notch quality.
Thank you for making our Valentine celebration a wonderful and memorable dinner.....not to mention the convenient location, avoiding the drive into downtown Pittsburgh.
We dine out often and do our best to treat ourselves to a high-end meal on occasion. Being two days before Valentines Day and our only opportunity to celebrate this was one of those occasions. After reading favorable reviews prior to making our reservation we couldn't have been more disappointed with our experience. I ordered the 8 oz Waygu Filet cooked medium (@ $64) and my wife ordered the 10 oz center cut sirloin cooked medium well (@ $36). We shared an order of Lobster Rissoto.
Her steak was cooked medium and mine was medium-well but we forged ahead regardless. For a Wagyu Fillet, mine was tremendously bland. This was supposed to be a treat. I immediately wished I had ordered the regular 8 oz fillet. Her sirloin was fine...but nothing special. The Lobster Risotto was pretty good.
I almost forgot the fries. They looked like leftover McDonald's fries stuffed upright in a small silver cup, for presentation purposes I guess. They were soggy, limp and tasted terrible. What a joke.
I've never had a worse meal for which I paid over $150.
If you want to treat yourself to a good meal locally, look elsewhere. Huge disappointment. Next time I will trek downtown to Mortons or Ruth Chris. I would have been happier at Outback.
The food was really delicious. We had the ceasar salad, pork chop along with the filet and lobster risotto - all of which was really lovely! The food really tasted GREAT. The service was a bit off and we likely won't be back because of it. It took a long time to get water and then to continue to get water... So I am not sure what the disconnect was. Either way, the food was great, service not so much.
