   This was a special occasion dinner. My husband ordered steak frites. It was rare even though he ordered medium. He sent it back and they cooked it more and the meat was tough. I ordered filet mignon, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The steak and potatoes were fine but nothing special and the sprouts were barely cooked, hard with little seasoning. My son’s grouper was good, but the dirty rice was too salty. We were disappointed as this is not a cheap restaurant. We decided not to order my birthday dessert because everything seemed so average for the price. We will not return.

   First issue was the menu online is not the menu offered on site. There were far fewer options on the restaurant’s menu. Second issue was that the food was not good, not flavorful like you would expect it to be & was extremely overpriced. Third issue was that service was poor, leaving us without items we requested, glasses empty, and us having to flag staff down in order to get attended to. Fourth issue was the bathrooms were disgusting. They were dirty, there was not toilette paper in the stalls or paper towels in the dispenser, even though the restaurant had only been open 1 hour. It was a huge disappointment & we will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

   The food was not seasoned well at all. The tables could have been cleaned a little better in the corners. Floor needed to be swept, after previous customer. The price of the food was not worth it. Service and drinks were great, but that was it.

   We have been to Coalition many times and have generally made it our “go to” for special occasions. The food is always great including the specials. However, the service there is hit or miss. There are some really good, professional servers on staff, but certainly not all. On our last trip for Mothers Day we arrived early before they were extremely busy, but our server was far from attentive and completely left off a drink order. Unfortunately, this has become more common than not in recent trips. It’s disappointing that the service is not on par with the food and prices of a steak and seafood restaurant in such a prime location.

   My wife and I had the opportunity to dine in recently and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our bartenders were attentive and the drinks were well balanced——some of the best cocktails we’ve had. We ate grilled oysters that were well prepared and tasted incredible. Our fish was delicious and cooked to perfection. This was not our first time dining here and certainly will not be our last.

   We had a great time. The food was amazing. The lobster omelette was incredible. Crab dip was delicious. Honestly all the food was just so good. Service was also great! The only downside is that we did make a reservation weeks in advance and it seemed like they didn’t have a table ready for us. They put us off to the side in a table that was too small for our party. But other than that, it was a great experience overall

   Some dishes are much better than others. Brunch is great but dinner is mediocre unless you get specific things. Fried lobster is excellent. Lobster roll is so-so. Cocktails are good and service is superb.

    Great food, great service, nothing else need to be said. Can't wait to go again as there are several other great looking/sounding menu items I must try.
