I was satisfied with the Covid protocols I saw, and in particular, the out door heater above the table.

We've eaten at Coal Oil Johnny's Pub four times this year (up from our usual once or twice - a lot of birthday celebrations) and the food and service has been excellent every time. They are doing a great job following Covid rules too.

We had two entrees and a salad. All of them were delicious. The amount of food was generous and worth the cost. They carry a choice of gluten free beer—a pleasant surprise. Lunch was the perfect follow up to a great morning of skiing. Highly recommended!

Once again, a delightful lunch in a spectacular setting. So much food we had to take away. Daily salad was tasty and filling so I couldn’t eat my veggie Chili!

As always, the Whitewater menu is modest but mighty. The food is consistently tasty and well prepared and this was no exception. The service was at a measured pace but very good given the COVID restrictions.

The burger was burnt and inedible, our server was great by offering to have it re-cooked, but time did not allow for it. She comped our food, but the food should not have gone out in the first place

In these times of the pandemic, Coal Oil Johnny's came through splendidly with their usual excellent service and great food, while complying with the covid health restrictions and making us feel comfortably safe. We also found the reservation system easy to use.

The food at Whitewater never disappoints. Service was personal, attentive and kind. The view is beautiful.

Well spaced and organized seating. Lots of outdoor seating, too. A quiet sunny afternoon to linger over Faceplant!

My poutine cheese curds were cold as well as the gravy. I asked the server to reheat my poutine and he said he would put fresh gravy on top. He returned my food and the gravy was still cold. It made for a not good lunch on a cold day. I feel I did not get my moneys worth it was rather disappointing.

I wish they wouldn't put us right by the kitchen entrance door when half the pub is empty. It was apparently the last table booked for the day and the time slot. But several tables where empty while we were there. No biggie but just a hint since we ended up at that table twice (2 different occasions) while the place was almost empty. Maybe it is because we had a 6 year old with us? Not sure... love u guys regardless 💓

Coal Oil Johnny’s Pub has the best burgers & poutine we have experienced in the Kootenay’s!

The food was awesome as always. Drinks were excellent. Service was very good. Views were closed over but that meant fresh powder so all was good!!
