This small cafe in southwest Littleton is a good new addition to breakfast dining in the area. Being very small, they require reservations on Saturday and Sunday. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was a little hit and miss, with the JoJo bowl being very tasty (I would highly recommend), and the Golden bowl (vegan), which was dry and hard to eat. This was, in part, the result of using a very dry goat cheese in a sweet potato based bowl. It really lacked sufficient moisture. This bowl could have benefited from an aioli like that used in the JoJo as well of some tomatoes, which they do not offer on their menu anywhere. My other concern was their price point, with the meals averaging well over $10 each. And, you only get one piece of toast with each meal. I am glad to have a new option in the neighborhood but doubt I will use this one very often.
Very friendly service and amazing food. We will be back...soon
Awesome green chili with veggie option!
Service was fast and friendly! Everything was clean and neat.
Covid is hurting the menu. 1 st. The quinoa gone now the sweet potato’s. Sad. 😢
Awesome menu choices and very good food. Loved the decor as well. I really like the coffee mugs, only disppointment was that the coffee wasn't very hot and not very tastey.
Found hair in the omelet but the breakfast egg rolls were amazing.
Food was delicious and at a good price. Superb coffee!
The food was great and our server Heidi was very nice.
The breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend the breakfast egg rolls!
Excellent place, service wasn’t bad considering the were busy. The only table left in the place was set for our reservation, we were seated quickly, area was clean and had a nice feel to the area. Food was very good, never had a breakfast egg roll before and it was awesome! Will definitely be back!
Great local breakfast spot, close to home with attention to cleanliness and great food
I ordered a "make your own bowl" I ended up with 2 more breakfasts. Very generous portions. Delicious!!
Third time in the Kitchen, always pleased . As simple as this is, when I order eggs over medium that’s what I get- not so with most other places where it’s over easy no matter what I request. The chef pays attention. All food always good.
We wish we could have a better review. Super excited to try this place since it’s close to home and the food looks tasty! Unfortunately it seems that we were forgotten from the moment we sat down. The lady who checked us in and sat us was nice as was the server - once they came up the table. We ordered drinks plus our food. The drinks came, but the food never arrived. We sat for close to 45 minutes before we called the initial person over to cash out our drinks. Sad because we really wanted to try this place. As we paid it seemed that our food order never made it to the kitchen.
Great food! Cute little place for a great breakfast.
Great food, at a reasonable price; we will definitely be back soon. The Denver Omelet was amazing!
Clean, prompt, and very good food. Service was excellent and not pushy, responsive to requests. A nice place to come for an enjoyable meal.
This is a follow up from a prior review which I accidentally rated the restaurant “poor” and I meant for all ratings to be “excellent “. I plan to visit this restaurant regularly after such a good 1st time breakfast.
You didn’t have the blue corn quinoa. I was sad, the sweet potatoes were OK
the food was different but had a lot taste, like the big cup of coffee, husband like the food too, will go back.
When we arrived for our meal, we were turned away because they were out of food.
Really good food. The place was a little hard to rate on ambience/setting. Because of the COVID-19 we were the only ones there.
Definitely will come back again.
One of the best breakfasts we had. Kids had breakfast Mac and cheese with chorizo, bacon and eggs how you want, wife loved her avocado toast and I had the Colorado Hash but subbed the sauce for the spicy maple which was out of this world. So good. Would absolutely make this a staple if we lived in the area
Great second visit and will definitely be going back many times
Great and good food!
Everything was pretty great actually just could use some work on service. The young gentleman actually brought me a cup that was split all the way down the side and was leaking Mountain Dew and didn’t even notice it nor even came back around so we grabbed a different young lady who helped improve our first experience
We had a wonderful Father's Day brunch at Coal Mine Kitchen! Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff was friendly and sweet. It was well worth the drive across town and we will definitely be returning!
Very friendly service and welcoming environment. Food is great!
My Wife and I just enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Coal Mine Kitchen. The hash bowls are amazing and very generous portions. It is so wonderful to have a great local breakfast spot that is not a chain! Great menu, great service, great food and great prices!!
We love the people, we love the food and the atmosphere, but the service pre-Covid and even more so now, is so extremely slow. There were 3 tables seated (including our table of 5) during a non-peak time early Sunday afternoon. When the service was slow before the pandemic, it was always so busy so it was understandable on some level. Not sure what to attribute the slowness to right now.
Yummy food, courteous staff, and
I think they are trying to be careful.
A great locally owned restaurant that has great food for the price. Also the interior is decorated nicely to follow their theme-old coal mine.
Coal Mine Benedict was very good. Would order again
Not busy when I was there.
We love this hidden neighborhood gem! We are happy they reopened their dining room.
