Wonderful local hangout
As always, fabulous food and service. We shared a harvest salad, my wife has a special of rockfish oreganata and I had coach version of veal chop Milanese, the veal chop was huge and crisp, meat was of the highest quality and topped with 2 large slices each of tomato and fresh mozzarella topped with a balsamic glaze and a pile of baby arugula with balsamic. A really nice bottle of Chardonnay and terrific service from Samantha. Plus A very congenial atmosphere with Russ visiting every table to make you feel very welcome guest
Great local spot with quality food and drink
Our favorite family restaurant!!!
Other than being a little overcrowded the night was delightful. They were on top of it
We always enjoy our dining experience at Coach. The food, service good and friendly
The restaurant reminds me of a place nestled in the poconos with a great deal of character and warmth. The staff was highly energized and competent and it appears that most were veterans of this establishment. The food was wonderful and the drinks were also made with attention to detail.
I would recommend this place but try to make your reservation if you are a couple after 8pm, since a lot of kids are there before that.
Solid meal. Everything on the menu great. A+
Thank you, positive reviews help us a lot
Amazing, as always.! Their duck is the best around.. Crispy on the outside with an amazing fruit sauce. And all of their appetizers are great. The shrimp cocktail sauce is terrific, the gravlax is delicious and the artichoke appetizer was steamed with goat cheese — also the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. Always consistent.
We always enjoy the Coach Grill. We've been coming here for years. The food is delicious and the servers are consistently polite and helpful.
Thank you! Love having you guys!
New Year’s Eve with family. Was great!!
thank you for great review, helps us a lot
We wanted to try a new place on New Years Eve. According to the web site we should get there early. Other than some loud person at the bar, at our 4:30 reservation, we found the dining room deserted and we were seated next to the kitchen with all the servers gathering there. Very annoying...Also the steak was ordered medium rare and came out RARE. When it was reserved, it was well done. The rest of the order was fine.
Christmas Eve! Couldn’t be better
Thanks Lisa! Means a lot you celebrated a holiday with us and left us a positive review!
Great food and exceptional service as always. Russ is a very gracious host and tonight’s meal was excellent.
Started with baked clams oregananata and then the best duck we’ve had in a long time plus a really good bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Dessert was Banana Foster cheesecake.
Love Coach Grille
Delicious !! Went for friends Birthday , she absolutely loved it. Tuna was amazing. , wagyu steak unreal !!
Can’t wait to go back. A+++++++
Thanks for the awesome review and for celebrating with us. You guys are the best!
Out absolute favorite restaurant!!! Never disappoints
Love it! Good for kids too!
The Coach Grill is rustic and fun dining. This is American tavern style food with a good assortment of fish, duck, lamb, and steak. I like It because the food is always good, and it’s old fashioned decor is like the 1700.s
Coach is one of the best restaurants on the North Shore. Food is consistent and excellent. The service is exceptional. Highly recommend.
I can’t wait to go back! Coach Grill & Tavern is truly a neighborhood gem. The staff is incredibly courteous! The menu speaks for itself... I couldn’t decide what to order because it all looked so delicious but my guests and I enjoyed the steamers special, French onion soup, and berry salad. Can’t wait to go back and try some more!
A good local establishment. The atmosphere was very friendly. The food was good. Restaurant was dated.
Hubby had oysters and salmon that was very good. I had clams oreganata and the lobster ravioli which was delicious. We're just not used to New York prices. Aside from that definitely would eat there again.
Excellent go to dinner spot. Half price wine on Monday’s!
Unfortunately, the service not great this time. It took at least 45 minutes to get main dishes from end of apps.
Love coach, the best duck, except for my old recipe from my former restaurant. Service always terrific and Russ is an amazing host.
Always a nice meal at this Oyster Bay gem. Have been going here for years and each time the food continues to be enjoyed by my entire family. Friday and Saturday can be tight - but that's not different from any good Long Island restaurant. Waiters and waitresses are always a pleasure and seem to enjoy their job.
Overall excellent. Consistent. Warm and Friendly. Great experience.
Love this local spot. Great food, chill ambience and consistently great service!!!
Bartender was a real nice guy. Was working alone and did a good job . The place had a funky moldy, wet dog and wet carpet smell that we couldn't get over. The sandwich I had was to be on ciabatta and it was on marble bread that was over toasted and not pressed. The sun dry tomatoes were not sun dried, the glaze was to be glaze and it was a vinegar dressing and not balsamic glaze. If you care that little about your guests to put the time and effort into your dishes as you did not, it may be time to move on !
I do not understand why a cook would make a decision on changing the contents of a dish without letting the patron know. I suggest you have a drink at the bar instead.
I apologize that the lunch did not live up to your expectations. We had an issue over the summer with a leak and rot that we have fixed. Talking with the chef it was a careless error, he used regular tomatoes instead of sun dried tomatoes and balsamic vinegar instead of glaze. The balsamic turns parts of the bread black giving it a marble appearance. We apologize it was over toasted. He did not do it maliciously, all of our staff, care deeply about our guests experiences. Very sorry again.
My family loved this for Mothers day! Great food and great service !
Great neighborhood place!
Food excellent and consistent
We were celebrating our anniversary. Everything was delicious. They ended our special night with desert on the house. Great food and service.
They never disappoint. Been patronizing the restaurant for more than 20 years and they have never failed with their food, always good
Very mediocre food nothing special.
We went for Valentine's Day because we were looking for something different. The crowd was energetic; the food was excellent; the service friendly & professional. Would def. go back. I had shrimp cocktail (perfect) and the roasted duck--also excellent. My wife had clams oreganato and then shrimp oreganato--both prepared perfectly. desserts were equally wonderful. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The couple next to us opened up a conversation--they touted the burgers and everything else on the menu!
While V-Day was hectic, I think a regular meal would not disappoint in any way.
Perfect! Great food. Great service.
Was seated opposite the castle door of the Lady’s Room only to be entertained by the Royal Flush every ten minutes for over two hours.
It took 20 minutes to retrieve a single bottle of wine intended to drown my sorrows.
It took 50 minutes from arrival to be served an oyster appetizer hidden with shell gravel.
Our tables were so close together that when the second couple was seated adjacent to us it was like listening to someone on their cell phone on the LIRR.
When the table behind us dropped the F bomb for the third time in 2 minutes it was time for a Great Escape!
The food and service were wonderful as always. Very warm and friendly
My family and I came here after funeral services just needing to get a good meal after a very long couple of days. Since it was off hours it was quiet which was nice and service was excellent. The food was delicious. My husband and I will definitely be back. We were recommended to try it out by Jordon a server we met while out at Oyster Bay Brewery.
Thank you again for a comforting meal after a trying couple of days.
