About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Romantic
  • Innovative
Coach is our stylish restaurant where we serve an informal menu in casual brasserie-style surroundings. Choose to eat inside amongst the rich colours and contemporary fabrics or soak up the Welsh fresh air in our al fresco dining area in the adjacent courtyard during the summer months.
The ingredients we use matter to us. We love to make the most of our surroundings, cooking with local seafood and meats sprinkled with a pinch of Anglesey Sea Salt. Fresh crab and mussels from the Menai Strait, Anglesey lamb and Welsh beef are ultimate favourites of ours. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion or pop in straight from the beach, you’ll find something to suit your mood at Coach. We look forward to welcoming you soon in Coach!

Very disappointing. For £15 for a main course I would have expected some imagination regarding the sides-instead a I received 1 large undercooked carrot and 1 unseasoned floret of cauliflower and broccoli which filled the plate. As for the dessert...after waiting 30 minutes I left before receiving it. Won’t be returning.

First visit since the restaurant upstairs ‘the Loft’ closed and very disappointed, we had squid and scallops to start, the squid was tough and tasteless and the scallops were tiny, I was expecting queenies as stated which are smaller but these were much smaller and cold which I didn’t expect, I suspect both were frozen , scallops were £11.50 so definitely not worth the price. One steak and one lamb cutlets fir mains were fine , dauphinois bring the best thing on the plate, I did say I was disappointed and there was no feedback until the bill came with a 10% reduction, would rather have had some information on the food than a discount, sadly our special occasion place has gone forever I fear , £72 bill for a disappointing meal, will not return

I have had very good experiences on my previous 2 visits for dinner and expected the same when I recently visited for lunch. I was disappointed to find that the lunch menu was much smaller than the dinner menu. While being seated I ordered 2 drinks, 10 minutes later 1 arrived. I reminded the server that 2 drinks had been ordered. After 25 minutes the second drink still hadn't been served so I asked the server again. The second drink arrived 35 minutes after being seated. I ordered another beer. This took another 15 minutes to arrive after a further reminder. The wrong brand was served, I asked for what I ordered to be served. The room had enough staff and was not full so I can only conclude that the serving processes were no being operated correctly. The food was generally good but my main course was supposed to be steak on focaccia but was served on a brioche bun. I didn't ask for this issue to be resolved because I had run out of time and didn't know how long this would take to fix given my previous service experiences. Very disappointed.

We visit Beaumaris at least 3 to 4 times a year and always include a dinner at The Coach. Sadly after many years I feel we will look for an alternative.. the food is still good ( although disappointing that they have stopped the little touches such as local breads). The service was very poor... glasses swept off table as soon as we sat down without asking if we even wanted wine ( which incidentally we did). No one really hosted us all evening... food was 40 minutes, had to ask for drinks, no food check back and generally looked as they just didn’t want to serve us. Such a shame as we have always relied on it as our go to venue for Saturday evening meal. I
