Highly recommend the Coach and Horses for any occasion. The food is excellent, having eaten here a few times, l can honestly say l have never had a bad meal. The Sunday Lunches are as close to a home cooked lunch as you can get. The staff are lovely and so helpful, always welcoming.

We loved it here for Sunday lunch and are already planning to visit again to try the extended menu. A lovely touch with the doggy biscuits and water for our pooch too :)

It is a very nice venue , the food is great and the service is always good however on this occasion we had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive . I would still recommend this place for food it was the first time this had happened so that would not put me off .

Excellent restaurant. Good quality food, very tasty. The dairy free ice cream was lovely. The service was the best. Our waitress, Gemma, took great care to advise me because of my lactose intolerance. We will definitely return

Staff and service excellent. We all had roast dinners which were tasty and generous portions. Will return.

Would definitely recommend. We were visiting my parents and wanted ‘our Christmas’ as we would not be with them Christmas Day. The staff, service and food were all excellent. We had a lovely evening and all enjoyed. Thanks to all concerned 😊

Service as always was brilliant. Food was lovely, especially the home-made steak, ale and mushroom pie. Always a winner.

We went for Sunday lunch with four children, that in itself can be a challenge. We were made to feel welcome, the children were given colouring sheets and pencils and the youngest was given duplo bricks; a high chair was brought to the table & staff interacted with all the rugrats. Great service and food. We would highly recommend to all our friends.

Good Afternoon Susan, thank you for taking the time to leave us this lovely review. We are family friendly and try very hard to provide bits & pieces to keep them happy. Weather dependent we have a large garden with a bouncy castle, play area and lots of grass to run around on. It is lovely to read that you had great service and food, our standards are very high so we love it when customers acknowledge it. Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you soon. We were a party of six who booked in for a late Sunday lunch. I cannot fault the service at all. All the people who served us were very friendly and one lady had some fun cheeky banter. The people who had the roast pork enjoyed it but those of us on the roast beef found the meat...processed/pre carved and heated up by the kitchen maybe, certainly not carved fresh from a lovely big joint there and then. Equally there was something awry with the potatoes - they were tasty but they weren't cooked in the traditional way. They weren't crispy - possibly deep fried. My daughter enjoyed her nut roast. My gipsy tart was as I remembered it from school days.

Thank you for commenting on all the positives, Excellent service - Roast pork, Nut Roast, Gypsy tart. If we are not made aware that you are not happy with your meal we will offer to cook it again or cook you a replacement. If we are not made aware of this we cannot. I am sorry you did not enjoy our Roast Beef. I hope we will see you again, maybe if the Roast Beef & Roast potatoes are not to your liking, try the Roast Pork which we would happily substitute our Roast potatoes with mashed potato.
