   The food was terrific but the service was borderline angry. We felt like there was an underlying disdain from our Server and he frequently forgot simple requests. We were perfectly polite and requested nothing out of the ordinary (a drink order, water, the check). It's a bummer because the food was so wonderful and we loved the ambiance but probably won't go back for fear of having that same server again.

   The service ridiculously bad, it took us 2.5 hours for a dinner for 2. We had to ask for utensils and plates to start off with, then when we ordered a appetizers each, only one of us got our appetizers, then we had to ask for the 2nd appetizer. When the entree finally came it was 45 minutes later. Whenever we had a question, the waitress was not available, and then we were told 3 different times that our dessert was not available so we could have something else and when the dessert finally came out, it was completely different to what we expected. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, although the restaurant is very convenient to where we live but we will not coming back here.

   Thanks for dinning with us. I apologize for the lack of service. We've since made changes to our reservation settings and our staffing to better accommodate a higher volume so we can focus on our guests. Thanks, Trung Chef / Owner

   After seeing this place open some time ago I finally got a chance to go. What a wonderful treat. We were there for Oakland Restaurant Week. We had a great treat at the start with a bite size piece of watermelon soaked in some spices it was really delicious. We then moved on to a beef dish Bo La Lot it was Angus Beef rolled up and cooked with spices, Fermented Anchovy sauce wrapped in betel leaves. Just great. Next was a Garlic Noodle dish with barbecued shrimp. It was fantastic. We had a pretty good creme brulee but saw the other desert go by to another table and immediately regretted our decision. The desert we didn't order was a melange of ice cream, fruit, and chocolate sauce. It looked really good. I would recommend this place without hesitation. My only complaint was the music. There were times when for 10 minutes all you heard was a deep bass rumbling over and over again. It became monotonous and sort of annoying. I am not sure what it adds to the experience? Enjoy!
