Club Lucky

Ordered fried calamari and a Caesar Salad for dinner. The calamari was so-so (large pieces and not very tasty). The Caesar Salad was drenched in dressing and I could not finish it.
Service was spotty. Finished my first beer and had to wait 15 minutes for the second one. The waitress "got lost" somewhere. And some other waiter finally brought me the beer. My water glass was not refilled during the meal even though it was empty.
We ate in the main dining room which was pretty empty but the service was poor.
Had high hopes for Club Luncky as we live within walking distance. Very disappointing first visit. Not sure I will give them another try.

Valentines Day. They were decorated and it was very festive

Calamari was amazing. Hands down some of the best. However, the pasta was kind of sub par. This is my second time coming here and maybe it was just the Valentine's day rush, but it did not live up to its previous expectation. The mushroom gnocchi was fairly balnd.

Food was not great at all. Wasn't much better than Chef Boyardee. Wasn't worth the cost. Had a problem with where we were seated. The staff believes it is okay to have other customers invade your personal space to the point where they are literally touching you. Manager rolled his eyes at my husband when he asked for the check (we wanted to cancel our orders as we were not having a nice dining experience with the other guy in my husbands lap). They did move us eventually, but not without attitude and then telling us that the guy that was invading my husbands personal space was some sort of celebrity so they didn't want to ask him to pull his chair in a little. *(&$ that!

We've been going to Club Lucky for years. It's always dependable to have a good meal and a great ambience for a birthday or a dinner out.

Fun night of good food and cocktails. Love the ambiance.

We haven’t been there in a while. It was great. We had a family meal with a great variety of food. We can’t wait to return.

Fun place. Delicious food. Very pleasant servers, manager. Honor reservations on time. I’m have Celiacs and have had good luck eating here.

Always a good choice to go to Club Lucky. We were going pre Blackhawks game. We were able to make a reservation. We could valet park but actually found a spot in the neighborhood. Got a great round table for 8 in the middle of the action. Great service. Amazing martinis. Good wine. Excellent food. The bread is outstanding too. Loved it. Well paced meal. Will definitely go back. It’s a favorite. Consistently Terrific.

Go to restaurant especially family friendly! Love it!

Great neighborhood place. The baked clams were great. Very fresh ingredients. Try the chicken vesuvio. All dishes were tasty.
Service was friendly and attentive.
Crowded but worth the wait

Always love Club Lucky -- food was great -- but wish they had better dining options for a table of 2. The 2 tops seem to either be scrunched against a wall that is an aisle or next to a table with a lot of kids -- or sidelined in the back room which is just not all that pretty. They should add more ambiance to the back room and make it adults only or do something else so that smaller groups can feel more cozy and comfortable. Note that they did have booths and even though we came early and a few of the booths were open, they said they were "reserved," which was disappointing.

Food and service was great! I would recommend.

I was very impressed by this place. The food was delicious. The fried calamari was extremely tender and not at all overbreaded. The chicken parm was also really tender and flavorful. I would definitely go here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal with some solid portions. The cocktails were also delicious.

This was our 1st visit. The kitchen couldn't have been more accommodating, with mixing, matching, and adding ingredients. My pasta with arribiata was some of the best I've EVER eaten, and my husband was thrilled with his chicken parmesan. The other 2 entrees (salmon and a filled pasta) were also well received. Service could have been better, as our drinks took an eternity, though the martinis were delightful. And the 2 year old that was with us got something other than what was ordered for her. Even the Italian cookies we had for dessert were really good. We can't wait to return.

Always an awesome experience at Club Lucky. We had a reservation for 12 at 7:45. They were so accommodating and efficient with our group on a Saturday night during a holiday weekend. Food has been delicious and consistent for years. Our service was wonderful (thanks Jana) and we never had empty wine glasses. They replenished our bread, filled waters and cleared the tables seamlessly. So appreciative of a great dining experience.

Went to Club Lucky for the first time. The ambiance, service, drinks and food were phenomenal. The food was tasty, melt in your mouth and not too rich.
Drinks were great; strong. This restaurant is a far drive for us, but I can't wait to return.

Stopped in for dinner before going to a musical downtown! We were running late thanks to traffic, but i was able to call the restaurant and they easily adjusted our reservation time.

The food was delicious all around and the service was great. It’s a lovely restaurant, we only wished we could stay longer and order more!

Club Lucky has been an all-time favorite for years and years! I've lived in the neighborhood for 15 years, and have been dining at CL for at least that long - bringing my young daughter there, my friends and family. My Mom requests that we go there every year for our Christmas Eve, Eve dinner [the 23rd]. She loves the vibrant atmosphere, the decorations and of course, the martinis!

Best Italian place in the city! The vibe is lively and the food is exceptional.

This is (was) our go-to place for fantastic Italian food and a great neighborhood location. We’ve been to Club Lucky probably a dozen times. However, this last time, our opinion of the place has changed. Our server couldn’t care less about the speed nor quality of her job. Her lack of concern for her customer was openly evident. The food was simply so-so and this is a marked difference from the usual tasty and very filling dishes. Finally, the noise level in the dining room was quite simply overwhelming. Our party of four in a booth found we could only converse with the person next to us, as it was futile to attempt a conversation across the table. All in all, this is no longer on our short list and sadly feels like it’s in decline.

Thank you again Club Lucky! We’ve been coming to this restaurant for nearly 20 years. I asked to switch tables on a crowded night and the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate but more importantly make us happy. This is why I love this place, it’s like family. Happy Holidays!

We go to Club Lucky a few times a year especially during the holidays. Their décor and martini's were spot on but this time the food was sub par. I had the veal marsala and it was over cooked. I was disappointed to say the least but I will still come back for the atmosphere, martinis, and the meatball salad.
