Club Arcada 1920s Speakeasy
The Speakeasy is a wonderful venue for just about any occasion. We were there on a date prior to going to the theater downstairs to see Hotel California. The atmosphere is really great and the wait staff is super friendly and attentive. The salmon dinner is done to perfection and the drink menu offers many selections and super specialty drinks. Looking forward to going back.
The Speakeasy at The Arcada had great ambience with everyone dressed like 1920's characters. Lucky me, I was there on a Thursday and they have 1/2 price Bourbon. Gave me the opportunity to sample bourbon, I would not have tried, otherwise. The only downside was the menu is very limited. I had the Flight of sandwiches which was very good and afforded one the opportunity to mix the sandwiches if one type was not wanted. Otherwise a great evening. Thank you Ashley, my server.
Service was slow and portion sizes are small.
Italian feast was tasty, but small plated portion. Cannoli was bite size, not traditional. Service was awful. Waiter never asked if we wanted pasta or ravioli and we had to ask several times for drinks. Salad was just okay. Music was great!
Food was very good but not much on the menu. The service is great. Mona really made my 1st visit very enjoyable. Plus is was cool to have dinner and then go down to the theatre for a show at a great venue.
The Arcada Speakeasy Club is a fascinating place with beautiful décor, great live music and food that is fun to eat. I love the 3 pretzel roll plate with the various meats, which include Ron's own homemade meatballs. Ron, the owner, makes a point of visiting each and every table every night. He's got a beautiful place and a beautiful personality to go with it. I STRONGLY recommend the Arcada Speakeasy. Personally...I love this place. It's a winner for date nights ;-)
We received an email after booking theater tix to see Buddy Guy. The entire experience fit right in with the Chicago Blues. It was truly a meal and evening never to forget.
We dine out and do events quite often - members of The Raue in Crystal Lake. Preferred customers at Woodstock Opera Hall and visit The Genesee in Waukegan. The Arcada too will be added to Our Favorites.
Thank you all on the staff at both restaurant and theater all were outstanding !
Al and Shannon Stott
Had a wonderful time watching Ken Mate perform his magic. Great night, wonderful atmosphere.
The term "feast" leads one to believe that for a $20 per person cost, that there is a buffet to select from... instead you get a 9 inch plate with a small portion of the multiple items listed on the "feast" menu... at the end you get a 2 inch long cannoli that is more of a finger food than a dessert. I came away feeling taken by the entire meal.... but the ambiance was very good.... I would recommend staying with the drinks and appetizers and skip the dinners.
In everyday speak " the Speak " was a terrific experience. A step back in time.
Awesome food, love the Speakeasy theme and all the antiques and era related pictures!
Our waiter was inattentive. He took forever to bring drinks. Food arrived in the blink of an eye, then he all but disappeared
Such an adorable restaurant! Great decor and atmosphere. Flapper wait staff were fun. Food was delicious, but expensive. $16 for 3 sliders with no sides was high. $12 would have made more sense, or add another slider.
We had some appetizers and cocktails before a concert and it was great
I've been to Club Arcada many times now. This is the first time through open table and the first time to write a review. Simply put, the food, the service and the atmosphere have all been outstanding each and every visit!
Thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Italian food, the incredible vintage style decor excellent service and the entertainment was exceptional with Vito Zato, the very funny comedian, a real treat for us all. What a fun afternoon!
Love the drinks, great selection.
The menu is small but everything we have tried has been delish. Stay for the show!!
We had a great time! The Flat Cats were great!!!! We love dance to live music and they hit the sweet spot.
The service was great and the costumes were fun...Would highly recommend very fun
We had a really good time and hope to bring lots of friends back.
Beautifully decorated and fun atmosphere. Service was a bit slow. Drink menu is extensive and mixed drinks had a generous pour. Dinner selections are two, beef or fish (unless they are running a special which they had that night). Beef was overcooked but the salmon was nice. The Italian dish was heavily seasoned but overall tasty. Live entertainment was a Sinatra singer who had a wonderful voice and tried to interact with the audience but he definitely drowned out any hope of conversation at the table. This would probably be a great spot for either before or after a show. Great for a first time visit, but not sure we would return unless bringing other first timers to see the place.
Food was great, atmosphere is fantastic, entertainment the best
We reserved the Gatsby room to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. The wait staff was excellent in handling our large group of 20. The food was excellent and we loved the singer. He came over to our group many times, serenading many of us. The only thing, the volume was a little too loud for us to talk amongst ourselves.
Other than that.....everyone had a great time. The singer made it very special.
Outstanding service and great food offerings which are perfect for a pre-show meal. Love dining at The Club then seeing an excellent show in the theatre.
Truly a wonderful experience
Menu not extensive, though food was very good. Only two entrees so it’s better suited for drinks and appetizers. We were also seated at a small round table at a couch so it was a little difficult to eat dinner. Ambience is very nice but I’d go more for drinks.
The food and ambiance were wonderful. Great place to have dinner before the theater.
Kind of pricey and small portions. Food was very tastey.
Very classy, fun and unique place. The music was outstanding and we ate a delicious dinner while watching the show.
I love club arcada. I have never had a bad experience. Food is amazing and so is the staff
It was our first time there, so we went for the Frank Sinatra Review and Ron’s Italian Sunday dinner. My husband likes to eat early, so we were with a much older crowd! It was definitely an experience and the Speakeasy was done in a fun way. The food was really good and we will certainly do it again!
All was great, the only negative was that we were very cold.
Loved the interactive show, food was good, atmosphere was excellent - another wonderful restaurant to add to our frequent visit list. My wife and I will tell all our friends about this great place.
My friends and I ate dinner here before the show. Friendly staff, fast service and great atmosphere. I plan to dine again soon and recommend to friends who are in the area for a show.
We had a great time. Cool atmosphere and great food. Entertainment and wait staff were excellent. Can not wait to go back!
My friend attended the Allman/Betts concert and are here before the concert. As we had never been to The Arcadia, had no idea the restaurant was there. Nice find and we shall be back.
I have been to the Arcada Club several times but this was my first Sunday evening for Ron's Sinatra Italian Dinner, it was SO GOOD. There were 6 of us & everyone enjoyed their pasta dish, plenty of food. GREAT food, fantastic service & enjoyable entertainment!
Look forward to our next dinner.
Had a great time, food was very good, entertainment was amazing.
Service was very good, everyone there was very attentive.
Excellent food, great unique atmosphere. Rare opportunity for live music in the suburbs. Come before the show if you want to visit, small venue makes conversation difficult during the show. Overall, great, fun vibe
Great atmosphere, very nice and fun staff, dancing, and good music!! love this place
Fun place to hang out, watch a magic show and sample a few craft cocktails. Limited menu but the items were good.
