This was recommended by some friends and it was not a disappointment. The ambience was cozy. The service was excellent and food tasty. One of the favorites was the small portions for dessert. They perfect sized bite.after a good meal.
We look forward to returning. Thank you for such a positive first experience.
Overall great experience. The main course took a bit too long to come after the starters, especially since I believe we were the first party in for dinner that night and it was early for us (just after 5:00 but we had a short at 7:30).
The scallops were great, the Chicken Cordon Bleu was a bit too much oil/greese and over salted. I still ate about 3/4 of the plate. Crab and Artichoke dip was great. This was our second time at Clover and we will return.
Waitress was excellent. Food delivery by kitchen took too long
I went to Clover for Restaurant Week. I had the crab/artichoke appetizer, the Tri-Tip steak and Pot de Creme for dessert. Everything was fantastic. Best meal I have had in Spokane in 15 years. So good that I am taking my son tonight. ❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed the food, service was great, and I’ll definitely go back.
Wanted to try Clover for a while. Made a restaurant week stop tonight. We had reservations for 2 at 645. We sat, and weren’t checked on for a drink order or anything until after 7. We ordered everything right away, and timing was great after that. The rest of my sad experience was with the food. We each chose something different so we could try it all. The pretzels were hard and dry, and the cheese was room temperature and gluey. The steak was so chewy and tough that I could not saw through it with a serrated knife, and I couldn’t fi. The pot de creme chocolate layer was more of a frozenish brownie than what I’m used to when I see pot de creme. I’m not sure what others are used to, but I won’t be back on the food quality alone. Super disappointed. ☹️
Sat in the bar and tables were a little cramped. I do understand it was restaurant week. Food and value good.
Love this place! Was a little disappointed that it took an hour to get the main dish but it was worth the wait.
Parking was impossible. The restaurant is in the middle of Gonzaga University student housing! The food was excellent but the building is not accessible for older people.
We had a wonderful meal! Thank you!
We met friends for restaurant week and everything was very good. The chef mixes such good flavorful dishes. The portion sizes were perfect so we could finish every course. The atmosphere is fairly casual unique in a renovated house in the Gonzaga neighborhood and the food is bistro top notch.
My guest and I went to Clover for restaurant week. Seated in small area off bar. Tables too close together and sound from bar magnified. Had asked for upstairs on reservation. They were very gracious and comped some wine for us. I had the beet salad and it was excellent. My guest had the lobster mac and cheese. Unbelievable how much lobster you get. She loved it. Nice that it is made with spazle. My guest had the seared ahi tuna and thought it was top notch with a nice spicy sauce. I had the beef tips. A bit overcooked and dry for my tastes. My guest had the chocolate pot for dessert. Nice with coffee chocolate mousse and vanilla mousse. Some service miscues with entrees preceding apps but not a big deal. Enjoyed our dinner before the Zags game.
Awesome service and outstanding food... loved it! Our waitress was very good.
A weekend away.
Had a great experience at Clover for our Valentine's dinner out. Arriving a bit early for our reservation, we were greeted warmly and in short order lead to our table upstairs in the front room. It was our first time, and Craig (our waiter) welcomed us. Drinks were ordered (try the Pomengranite Sour, mmm). Every item on the menu looked enticing; my wife choose the scallops and I, the shrimp polenta and peruvian beef bites, sharing the brussel sprouts. We both enjoyed the dishes, presentation thru taste, every bite delish! It was a wonderful experience, in all aspects. Huge call out to Craig!
Amazing experience and food! I can’t wait to try breakfast and lunch now after having dinner here.
Our server and our food was outstanding. We shared the brussels spouts with wild mushrooms, had the stuffed chicken and the scallops, a bottle of WA red, and shared a dessert. Our server was so accommodating with my picky husband's questions and had a wonderful sense of humor. What a fabulous evening out!
We try stopping in at Clover every time we are passing through Spokane. Always great food!
Food was cold. Waited for hot food and everyone else in party were finished
Amazing food, and an awesome atmosphere. It's in an older craftsman style home and it has a lot of charm.
We go to Clover when we have recruits in town for the Women's Rowing team at Gonzaga. Absolutely love this place, and the waitstaff are always fantastic. It's a great first stop for recruits on their trip out here and they always rave about the food. can't say enough good tings about Clover!
Excellent food and experience
Had the special hash delicious
Others had chicken sandwhich and eggs Benedict
All very tasty
Glad made reservations
Turned away all walk ins
The best date night food we have had in Spokane and we go out weekly.
A great restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. The food and drinks are always delicious. As a creature of habit, I like to order the same thing, but at Clover, I push myself to order something different each time I come and am never disappointed!
Great pre-game venue on Gonzaga Basketball game day, and so near McCarthy Center too.
Best meal we have had in a loonnngg time. Great service, outstanding food, and calm atmosphere. It was wonderful - we want to try brunch.
Food was amazing worth every penny. Friendly staff.
Dungeness crab omelet at brunch was outstanding. Unfortunately we were seated upstairs in back dormer where there were two tables. Our foresome was doing quite well with our conversations until a rather loud group of six were seated on the other side of that area. It was pretty distracting. Perhaps some noise absorbing improvements could be made by talking with a consultant who specializes in sound mufflling. Don’t mean to knock it. Becca gave us excellent service and all in our group enjoyed what they ordered. We will definitely return.
We had a large group and had an overall excellent experience. The service was top notch, Nico did a great job. Food was very good, well seasoned and unique. Cocktail menu is original and all in all we would definitely go back to Clover.
Service—particularly upon arrival (check in/bar) was not friendly or welcoming. Almost felt like, despite our 5:30 reservation, and showing up at 5:00 for personnel drink at the empty bar, we were inconveniencing them. Read great things about their service despite declining reviews re food, but we were not impressed with service. Not friendly or any better than average.
Had reservation. Table wasn’t ready. Waited 10-15 to be seated. People who walked in with larger group and no reservation was seated before us. Close proximity to other tables and heard way too much of their conversations and they were louder than they needed to be. Ordered beef cooked medium and received it medium rare. Not impressed with the food considering the price. Spent $120 on a meal for 2 and would have enjoyed my meal more if I went to Red Robin.
Wait staff was exceptional, food was very good.
Very nice ambience, charming place, good service for lunch, varied menu. Beet salad was disappointing -- just a few slabs of red beets on top of chopped lettuce. Definitely not worth the price.
Everything was wonderful. I would actually give it a 4.5 star. The only thing that could make it a 5 star is that our food was only warm when we received it.
As always wonderful service, outstanding food, and great ambience.
We had a great evening. Food was great as was the service.
We are always so impressed with the quality and imagination of the food served at Clover. I could have been done with Brussels sprouts appetizer, with wild mushrooms, pancetta and melted leeks, because it was delightful. However, I indulged with the scallops entree and was so glad I did. I rarely get to say a meal is outstanding, but this one will forever stick out in my mind. I loved the smokey cauliflower purée as the base. Every little detail enhanced the flavors of this dish. I hope it becomes a regular on the menu, because it was fabulous.
Anniversary dinner - great service and food was amazing
We had a amazing experience. Our waiter Nick was a dream
I usually love Clover. We eat there a LOT. This time my meal was greasy. Way too much oil on my omelette.
I was disappointed.
